I've gone here on and off for a few years, and its never been high end, but it was at least adequate services provided. However, I recently went for a mani pedi and both were awful. She hurt me so many times (knicking my cuticles, getting me with the drill etc) that I won't be back. This is supposed to be a spa service, not worse than going to the dentist. This seems to be a growing trend - nail salons charging poor and giving terrible service because they want to rush through. I have changed nail salons 3 times in 6 months and have decided its the area - I will be going towards Lake Mary or Orlando from now on. I had to do the same thing with a primary care physician, and now I'm very happy with my Clermont doctors. I am not super picky and I don't complain, but I refuse to put up with paying high prices and getting terrible customer service. read more

Horrible experience here. I did a dip manicure and on the first try, the last coat did not come out smooth. She ended up "fixing it" with a layer of gel which I have never had above dip and one day later, it is peeling. waste of money. read more

I got my nails done heres yesterday. I got in at 11:30 and he finished in about 2 hours which is kinda longer than I expected. They turned out really nice, but my sister pointed out my pinkie nails aren't even relatively the same length. The prices are the best we have seen in the area, just watch out for how long it takes. read more

I went yesterday with my bff to get acrylic nails. They don't have many regular nail polish options and they didn't sit us next to each other, they put us across the salon from each other! I had Kim doing my nails and I wanted a simple design and she said she couldn't do it so I asked if someone else could and she just mumbled under her breathe so I picked a solid color. She then rushed through the whole process. She cut my natural nails all jagged and then didn't file them she just stuck the tips on them, she made some of the nails too thick with the acrylic powder, some of the acrylic nails were filed crooked, and she cut me on 4 fingers with the drill! It was the worst nail job i've seen and then she reminded me that I couldn't have the design even after I had already picked the solid color. I will not be returning. read more

The lady that did my nails was too rough and tried to talk me into getting things I didn't want (more pushy that most nail shops). While getting my nails done another customer stated she didn't want gels and the lady told her it will last this time and I already started. I and another customer made an appointment only to be told there was no appointment scheduled. I can't speak for the other customer but I did make an appointment and I arrived at my scheduled time. Well deserving to be called a nail spa rather than salon. By far the best place I have been to get my mani/pedi. The spa is extremely clean and put together well. The employees are very respectful as well as professional and there is NO yelling across the room in another language. A real place for relaxing! Do not waste you're time with this nail salon! Took 2 hours for my fiancee's pedicure and the job done was terrible, so terrible she decided not to get a manicure. I got a manicure and it was agonizing. My nail chipped just 15 minutes after it was done. Very unprofessional! read more

Gel polish, pedicure, eyebrow threading= 65. They only take cash tips, so walgreens is two doors down. The staff is very friendly. The services came out good, not perfect, but good. There are some nail places that make your nails perfect ( polish is impeccable, nails are shaped precisely) but this is not the spot if you are looking for that. You may want to consider skipping this place of business. Not only are the tools used for nail care dirty but the foot baths are filthy. Picking up on a nail infection is serious and requires medical care to treat. To top it all off the manager/owner is very rude and does not deserve any local business until his attitude changes towards those who keep him in business. Overall, I was completely disgusted with the cleanliness of the 'spa', astonished at the poor customer relations, turned off by the payment/tip policy and would NOT recommend this business to anyone. read more

I have been coming to Starr Nails for 3 years now. I've been to many of the local area nail salons and have found this place to be the best around. I have never had anything less than a teriffic pedi or mani. It's clean, all the clippers etc are wrapped in sterile plastic and the environment is very relaxing.
