This place is amazing! They always do a good job and they are very friendly and sweet people, nice to see husband and wife running a business and doing such a good job of it! Today I went in with my 7 yr old niece And waited for 20 minutes. After that that they say get down to get a pedi and they started on a manicure for myself. 5 minutes later someone walks in and asks for a full gel manicure. They have me go to another seat and began to assist the other person. I got up and dried my nieces feet and told her that her service was horrible. You do not start working on someone else because my manicure was a simple one. The owner was not apologetic or anything. I would definitely not recommend this place. I have been taking my girlfriend here to get nails done for about a year now since I have family close by. I occasionally get my pedi & mani done as well (no shame in guys getting their nails and toe nails done :) btw haha). Haven't had a bad experience yet. There was one time my girlfriend accidentally smudged one of her nail on a table and the manager (Melissa) was able to fix it even though the shop was busy. Staff here are really nice and the shop is pretty clean. I'm not sure why people are writing bad reviews. The staff's English are decent and the manager speaks fluent English. There are times when people come in and make rude demands with bad attitudes maybe that's why they had such a bad time? I don't know haha. One of the ladies did an absolutely crap job on my nails yesterday the length was too short and the shapes were crooked and to top it off I still had to pay a total of $55 out the door. I was very disatisfied and will not be returning again... I have seen students do better work and yes these are fake nails that look like my natural nails with some polish on them..... The worst place to get your nails done. My wife want to get a nail fix. The lady that did her nail was very rude and very un professional. Since they didn't have the color my wife wanted. She said I'll take it off. She cut the hole nail off and jacked up her nail. Her response was go get it done somewhere else . Her name was Melissa. Don't come here... This place is over priced and they offer a free design of you spend $55 or more. The lady didn't want to give me a free design but when she noticed my total was $72 for just a mani & pedi with a gel French tip, she gave me one free. The ugliest design ever don't want your time with this place. Bad service and all they do is speak their language which made me think they were talking crap. The first time I can here the service was ok but I was not happy with the end result. Also I paid $92 that time and Melissa I just wanted to get out of there I pay good money for my nails. You guys are rude and disrespectful plus you guys talk crap about you customers and overcharge for services. You shouldn't have a sign advertising a free design with a $55 purchase if your going to have a problem honoring it. Trust and believe the money wasn't a problem but if I'm spending my money I expect to be happy with my results I told Nancy I didn't like the design and her eyes got big like its was a problem. My original nail guy went out on vacation for a month and I really needed to get my nails done. Of course my nails was not going to last a month until he returns from his vacation. I really needed to get my fills done So I came to Star nail spa two weeks ago for the very first time and I received the most crappiest nail fills ever!!! I didn't know places like this exist until I came to Star Nail Spa. My gel was peeling the next day and the nail guy used a way different pink for my french tip fills. Now I have two different color pinks on my nails, super unprofessional. Also over lapped of pink fills on my cuticles. A Total Disaster this guy did. I enjoy coming here occasionally when I'm on this side of town. All the staff are really kind. Even when I walk in without an appointment, they still do a good job at taking me in. This place does get pretty busy on the weekends. Once, I walked in 10 minutes before their closing time and they didn't mind taking me in. They didn't rush doing my manicure or pedicure either. I have been coming here for two years and I love it! I don't know how it got the last bad review it must be a fake one from another nail salon owner. This is by far the best place for Acrylics (especially coffin shape), manicures, and pedicures! They are gentle on cuticles, tough on callous, and I that they use spa liners. Nice selection of Orly and O.P.I. polish, clean, cool, relaxing place. I come on Saturdays and there is always 5 technicians and I how I don't have to wait! You need to try this place! I was a loyal customer to this place for about 2 years on and off. The only reason I came to this place was because I became really good friends with one of the ladies that worked there. Honestly the only reason I went there was because of my friendship with that lady. But this place is really unsanitary it always looked so sketchy. For an example, They use the same uv light they use on your hands for your feet.!!! And I never saw them clean them. You don't get bubbles for your pedicure because they're so cheap. They put a plastic bag in the spa for you to put your feet in which is filled with only water and a blue liquid but nothing extra. The drains on there machines don't even work! One time I saw hair floating in my water!! The lady I originally went to there quit on them because the owner was so rude. I just found out she no longer worked there. This last time I went in she was not there and I decided to give the owner a try which is how I was told my lady left. She did a HORRIBLE job. I asked for a manicure gel polish. My cuticles looked horrible. She slapped the polish on looked really blotchy and dirty with many random specs. I went back the next day so that she could fixed it and she refused and was VERY rude. I asked politely like twice and even told her I was a loyal customer with my birthday coming up and she just waved her hands at me refusing to fix the horrible job she did. She said she would do it if I payed for a new set knowing I was a loyal customer. Honestly the other lady that does pedicures ( there's only two ladies there the owner which only does your manicures and a lady that only does pedicures) does a ok job. Not the best I've seen. Oh and while I had the two ladies working on me the lady doing my pedicure ditched me and started working on another customer that came in while she was doing my pedicure and I quote cause "her job was faster" which made my time there longer! This place carries no jewels or rhinestones and does not do any new nail trends. I would not recommend this place.
