i got acrylics 2 days ago and 4 have popped off, not very impressed. when i was getting my nails done the guy i had didn't really do what i wanted him to do. but other than that i had a good experience here. i just won't be coming here again read more

I've had great experiences here before but I went here today and this is what I left with. I was so disappointed. Yes, I wanted shorter nails than the average girl, because I find it hard to use my fingers. But the way that my nails are complete circles is not okay. I had asked for the tips to be rounded, not the whole nail! And some of the nails were not placed properly over my real fingernails...they were elevated and looked like they were popping off. Every nail was a different shape and length. The acrylic wasn't filed down enough so it looked like I had bubbles for finger nails. I cried. I was so sad at this. I had just enough money to go and get my nails done and I was so excited about it. I ended up going straight to excel nails so they could fix them. The girl at excel looked at them and was so sorry for me. She fixed them for me. Now they look alright, but not exactly what I wanted, but she did the best she could do! But I had to spend an additional $25. These nails were not worth $65 for me today.....I'm so bummed I went to star nails in the first place. I feel bad for leaving a bad review but.....I'm very unsatisfied with this job. read more

I went in for the first time with my 5 year old daughter and was super happy with the service. We had an appointment and they took us right in. They took their time through each step, were very patient and accommodating with my daughter and were very pleasant. We had no issues with our massage chairs and they were kind enough to let us stay in them while our feet dried (thereby entertaining my little one!). My daughter was thrilled with the designs on her toes to boot and I thought the price was reasonable - especially for the time they spent with us. read more

I have been going here for a while but recently had the worst experience. I went in wanting a shellac manicure with an SNS base but the girl said I should get full SNS manicure instead which is a powder color vs. the shellac liquid polish and I said ok I'll try it. It was going fine until she put me in to dry and my nails came out with uneven colored powder, zero shine whatsoever and they were peeling what ever this top coat was. I told her I didn't like them and that it just looked like gobs of powder instead of a gel manicure. She then continued to paint more top coat on and I told her it was making the mess worse. Two other ladies then came over to help her fix it since it was chunky, peeling and had odd white spots all over. They kept scraping stuff off and trying to polish over the powder and after 2 hours my nails looked worse then when I came in. I was clearly upset and the lady told me to come back tomorrow to have it fixed. I told her they looked absolutely awful and I wouldn't be back again. They gave me a discount and charged me 25 bucks for hideous chunky peeling nails. They said sorry but if they cared they would of just fixed it. There was never an offer to fix it at all during this experience and I truly regret paying for such horrible service. I will never be back here and I was a regular customer, they should consider fixing problems in the moment vs. offering next day. read more

Oh where do I begin. I have been going to this nail salon for a few years now off and on and have been watching it go from great to awful. I had an appointment for a mani & pedi this past Saturday and the nail technician that I had was so busy listening to her I pod that she was forgetting steps. Frist forgotten step was leaving me in the chair soaking my feet for well over 20 mins and letting the water get cold. Second forgotten step was after she polished my toes she forgot to put the disposable sandals on me and expected me to walk to her station on the very dirty carpet. This nail salon is so busy that I have to question the sanitation practices and other people should question them also. read more

The nail technicians are very friendly, and made me feel super comfortable. My tail tech did a great job cutting my cuticles and filing my nails into the perfect shape! Sadly, I cannot say the gel/shellac was the same. Firstly, there was not enough polish used. I can see my natural nail under the polish. There was also many bubbles, which contributed to the unevenness of the polish. Overall, it wasn't horrible, but not what I expect for $30. read more

I went in on a sunday afternoon, which yes i know that will probably be a busy time, when i got in there with my friend, i asked for a pedicure and acrylics, and 2 chrome nails, which the man there said that they could do for $6-$7 extra, my friend asked for just a full set of acrylics. they immediately got me into a chair and started doing my pedicure which was great and i was impressed. once i was done with my pedicure they had me put my feet under the dryers. this was probably a half an hour into me being there, about ten minutes after i sat down at the dryers, someone finally came and asked my friend to go over and they started to do her nails, she asked for coffin shaped nails, and the lady proceeded to make them square?? after my friend was almost done getting her nails done, a lady comes over to the waiting area, and tells a lady that came in after me that she was next?? i then reminded her i needed something else done too and she said i could go after this lady, so now i have been here for over an hour. i finally get called to the chair, as my friend goes to the dryers. the lady started doing my nails, she was using the sanding drill thing?? and my nails are very fragile, she was sanding so far into my nail that it was almost at the skin, each finger she would start to do i would cringe and pull away in pain. then she handed me over to another girl and continued to speak in their language obviously talking about me. this next lady does my nails how i asked and it was all good until she started putting shellac on my nails???? i was like "hey i actually wanted just plain nail polish and then just the chrome on both of my ring fingers" this lady proceeds to tell me that she cant do the chrome without doing the shellac on all of my fingers?? she then tells me that it is an extra $15 or so and then tells me my total for JUST MY NAILS is $42!! thats not even counting my toes, since she has already started the shellac on my nails, and it has been over 2 hours! and someone is waiting outside to pick me up i decided to go with it. at the end my total was $67!! now it has just been over 24 hours, and there is 2 chips in my polish/shellac thats not supposed to chip, and one nail has already cracked right down the middle. 2 1/2 hours there was a waste of time read more
