I am very dissatisfied with your Dealership. The only reason I purchased the Altima in November 2017 was because they said they would pay the last two payments on the Maxima that I had leased for 39 months. For the past 11 months my boyfriend has been driving the Altima and keeping it in his garage so we had no reason to check the alarm system. I started using it about two weeks ago. Now I park it on the street. I didn't realize that I had left it opened and when I came down yesterday and opened the door the alarm did not go off. Wasted time and energy. I scheduled an appointment with Cammy to visit dealership iN hopes of purchasing a 2022 Nissan Rogue, SL or SV awd. Dealership has both vehicles. I was given a sales associate by the name of Edmond. The SL ROGUE HAD THE STICKER PRICE, however the SV DID NOT. HE REFUSED TO TELL ME WHAT THE PRICE WAS, CLAIMS HE WANTED TO TAKE CARE MY POSSIBLE TRADE FIRST. I TOLD HIM, THE TRADE DOES NOT MATTER BECUZ IF THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE ISN'T what I'm willing to pay, trade does not matter. He insisted on continuing with the trade in, not giving me a price on the vehicle that did not have the sticker price. I left. I don't have time for games,I'm in the market for a new vehicle. The dealer tactics Is ridiculous. I hate the buying process. Dealers seem to think they can take advantage of consumers especially during this time with what's going on in the world, inflation, chip shortage, etc!. My family and I is a Nissan family we currently have 5 Nissans in this family I will say the past couple years perhaps it's definitely about 10 years including myself. I just got a 2021 Nissan rogue my brother who we got the same cars three years ago tried to go ahead and renew and get a brand new lease and the same deal as me however they went to the dealership and they denied to give them the same deal or even a good deal they spoke with this woman named Diana she is an unprofessional women with a disgusting attitude. She started yelling getting nasty and rude. She calls herself a manager she needs to learn to act like one. Gus however he is helpful and got me a deal and tried to workout a deal but Diana is such a terrible human being how can you not help out a family that has a car full of Nissans and have gone there and renewed leases for the past couple of years. You have now lost 5 cars after all of our leases are up we will be going elsewhere. We are extremely disappointed at the customer service we received where is the loyalty in having 5 Nissans from this dealership. I do have to say Victor he was my sales rep when I got my new lease was so helpful he went out of his way to help me and get a deal. This review is solely based on customer service when we went to Star Nissan. My wife and I were looking to buy an SUV and were shopping around different dealerships and brands. After visiting Star Hyundai, we drove down Northern to Star Nissan since we had wanted to check out the Nissan Rogue. We walked in and was greeted by one of Star Nissan sales reps (i truly wish i remembered his name because Star Nissan might've possibly lost a sale due to our interaction with this guy). He came over, we shook hands, and i had asked if we were able to test drive the Nissan Rogue. I was told that they only allowed test driving via appointments. That's understandable but that's a pretty bad start already. He wanted to show us the cars in the showroom first so we said that we wanted to check out the Nissan Rogue and Murano. He went over the specifics with each car and after we were done, we walked over to his desk to talk about numbers. I told him upfront that we were in the market for a new SUV, and would really like to test drive the Nissan Rogue. I told him that we had just come from Star Hyundai and would like to compare the two. We showed him the package that we were getting with the Santa Fe Sport and he was looking through the list, scrutinizing things that were so minuscule like the leather seats. When you think about shady sales car rep, this guy is the epitome of what you try to avoid. After talking, we were getting hostile with one another for no reason at all. I'm not sure if he thinks intimidation works but remember, we're the buyers, you're doing your job to give us the best buying experience possible. This was what really made my wife and I leave Star Nissan and leaving this 1 star review. He said and i quote "I don't think you're serious about buying this car" when i asked once again to test drive the Rogue. How do you expect me to purchase something or be serious when you don't even let me try out the product? Especially with such an expensive purchase as a brand new car? STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! we traveled over an hour to purchase a used truck. They asked for a credit card BEFORE giving is a price. Best yet, they kept it at the podium & "forgot" to give it back. I got distracted and forgot as well. When the time came for pick up, everything changed, including the monthly price. they wouldn't honor advertised price & the price they have us. We found mechanical this vs wrong that needed fixing. my opinion is because they couldn't pull that fast one on us by selling us an unstable vehicle, they would find another way for THEM NOT TO ABSORB THE COST OF FIXING IT. Finance guy & manager are poor excuses for human beings! My husband called me to tell me what was going on, so I got on the phone with salesman Bob. Just as I was going to put the deposit down, rep comes back and said his manager would not let him do the deal, he had to sell at the sticker price. I walked. Edmun really helped with my options and i was able to get a new lease. the only inconvenience was that they had low inventory therefor i had to order the car and after almost a month and a half later and working out my expired lease to continue to have a car until the delivery. it's understandable there was not many cars to choose from anywhere. anyways everything was contactless and very convinient bexause of the pandemic. I did a lot of research so I knew exactly what I wanted in a Nissan. And I also read up on what dealers did to get you to buy add ons you did not want. I thought I knew all of the tricks a salesperson has up their sleeves and I was ready for the hard sale. What I did not anticipate was the unprofessionalism & laziness. When I referred to the Sentra I built on the NISSAN.USA website I was told by their award winning salesperson, BOB REZAEI, that the website was only a guide and NO ONE GOT THE CAR THEY WANTED. (Is that true, Nissan?) When I mentioned my trade-in he said WE DON'T DO TRADE-INS FOR OLD CARS. (Is that true, Nissan?) When he showed me a car that had almost $900 worth of options I did not want, BOB RESAEI said the dealership wasn't going to eat the cost of the options and I was going to have to pay for them. I said, well can I get a discount on the car so I am not eating all of these options, & BOB replied that "his boss wanted three thousand ($3,000) over the MSRP so what kind of a discount did I think I would get?" BUT, since he got a commission anyway, sure I will ask him. Then he snickered and said 'I work for you!' But the final straw was how annoyed he was because I was so clear about what I wanted. ARE YOU SERIOUS? DO YOU WANT A CAR, OR NOT?! When I said I hoped to buy a car today he replied, THEN GIVE ME YOUR CREDIT CARD, SO I CAN PUT IT ON MY BOSS' DESK AND HE CAN LOOK AT IT. BEWARE. Refusing to return $4199 deposit. THIS DEALERSHIP DOES NOT HONOR THE PROMISES/DEALS MADE BY THEIR SALESPERSON. I had and am having an Extremely Bad experience with Star Nissan in Queens, NY. I apologize for the length but PLEASE READ BEFORE DOING BUSINESS HERE to be aware of their business policies and practices. I went in on a Wednesday and signed a 5 year lease for a car I would pick up that following Saturday. I literally said "Saturday or the deal is off" and the salesperson agreed. I get a call on Saturday saying they did not have my car but they had another one I could pick up that day. After deliberating, I declined and canceled the deal. After an Extremely unpleasant encounter on the phone with manager Bob, who threatened my father, I find out the next Tuesday they refuse to return my deposit of $4,199. I spoke with Christine, a sales manager who admitted she thought the salesperson, Bob, asked for a Monday delivery but when asked, Bob (who was actually great) said he asked for Saturday. SHE TOTALLY THREW HIM UNDER THE BUS, which I commented on and she said he deserved it. Either way, it was a mistake made on their end. However, she insisted I go pick it up now as it is available. I tried to explain why I specified Saturday. I was in NYC visiting family that previous week but would return to Rhode Island for work on Monday where I am now. The manager insisted I take a day off or go back on the weekend. We are in the middle of a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. I run a food pantry M-F and a Soup Kitchen on Sundays. I work with and serve many elderly and/or people with immune deficiencies that are at risk. I would have to spend 8-9 hours traveling from RI on 3 different busses and the subway, go through Port Authority and Grand Central Stations to pick up the car in NYC. Then drive another 4 plus hours to get back to RI on my one Saturday off. During a Global Pandemic. I wasn't willing to do so which is why I specified Saturday in the first place. She could not have card less. She insisted I should be a "good person" and go back since they were not returning my deposit. I asked point blank if she, the management was refusing to honor the deal and promises made by their salesperson. She refused and said I wouldn't be getting my $4,199.19 deposit back. That is a lot of money for someone that works at a non-profit. I disputed the charge with my credit card and bank and got it back and spoke with Nissan Corporate who were actually great and offered me 3 extra oil changes and inspections for free on any Nissan (from another dealership because I DO NOT trust this one) and we closed my case. I recently discovered that they REBILLED my credit card for the $4,199 deposit one month later for a car I DO NOT HAVE or want at this point. NOT from them. I am now disputing the charge Again with my bank and have contacted Nissan Corporate Again to reopen the case. As they are the manufacturers, they might not be able to help me so I will now have to seek the assistance of a lawyer. Yes, reported to BBB and NY AG. If you've had a bad experience, you should consider reporting them also. This has been an incredibly frustrating, exhausting, depressing and time-consuming experience and it is still on going. If you do business with them, make sure you have EVERYTHING written down and signed not by the salesperson, but by the MANAGEMENT because they might not honor whatever agreement you make with the salesperson. Get a MANAGER or OWNERS signatures. Zero Stars for integrity. read more

Don't buy the car in one visit no matter how much they are pressuring you. I am writing a little late regarding the unpleasant experience I have had dealing with Gabriel Rodriguez, sales consultant at STAR NISSAN, INC. 206-02 Northern Blvd. Bayside, NY 11361. I can understand if he is a new sales consultant and is not informed of all vehicle and finance information to have provided us with information at the time of questions. Perhaps even the training provided for customer service was not accomplished. And he being the middle person for my finance paper work, it was a lack of supervisory on your dealers' part to allow such inconvenience to me. For the most part, I did my own research prior to going into the showroom. I not only had to reach out to Gabriel, after not hearing from him when he stated he would call regarding the vehicle order status, but for the finance paper work , I had to return to the dealer more than I needed to. On top of that, after the vehicle was delivered, I had to return window sticker because he forgot to retrieve it. All this back and forth was uncalled for, had he known what information he needed he would have made our experience smooth. Fortunately, we get to express ourselves through your survey...BUT even then your sales consultant had the audacity to call me on my cell phone and YELL at me for the score given, and hung up on me. I will make sure all of my friends and family are aware of the awful experience I've had with STAR NISSAN and I will also make sure they think twice prior to going to ANY NISSAN for that matter. read more

Full of lies!!! Purchased a 09 Infiniti G37x S from sales person Richard Schultz at Star Nissan on July 05th. At the time of purchase I still have two months left on a 11 Camry lease. Richard told me I can return the lease early to Star Nissan and I WILL NOT have to worry about the damage (dings and dents) on the Camry as well as the last two lease payments on it. It was very convenient for me the way this deal was set up so I was willing to pay for the convenience. I paid $24,780 for the G37x S with just under 25k miles on it. It's NOT cheap! Sure enough after I picked up the G37 and returned the Camry I was happy and everything with the new ride. Then Toyota Financial Service comes chasing me for the last two payments on the Camry which I have already returned! Then I called up Richard at Star Nissan and sure enough I was then told: "the deal was to only cover the damages on the Camry and not the last two lease payments. You did not purchase a new car but only a used car so there's no way we will cover the remaining lease payment on the Camry." My lesson learned since it was not written on a piece of paper. Frankly it's not a huge amount of money we're talking about here but this lying game about "we will take care of it" then all of a sudden it's not part of the deal crap just pisses me off. On the day of purchase I went with a friend who used to be an auto sales person and happened to worked with a person who knows Richard and he still managed to pull this one off on us. If there is no minimum requirement on the number of star that you have to put I'll give them NO star for this. Advise from me is don't go to Star Nissan nor Richard ever. Horrible Customer Service!!!!! John Worst Service Ever!!! I came into your dealership today with my husband and son. I sat with John... he sits on the far left, back desk with pictures on the wall. My husband and I were highly offended today by some comments that he made with us. We were looking into leasing the Pathfinder SL and was ready to make the deal. He first started off when I informed him that I was looking into getting a second car (Altima) for my mom along with the pathfinder. He very rudely put his hand up and said "we will get to that road when We cross it" Then he asked me (I was sitting at his desk while my husband and son was standing next to the car next to his desk) if I have the money to put down on the vehicle today. I told him yes. Then he insisted for me to show him the cash so he knew that I was serious about getting the pathfinder. We were obviously serious since my husband was there the day before. He then asked my husband to come over to the desk and my husband explained to him that my son can get very cranky that's why he let me do the deal while he stayed with our son close by. Your employee John then remarked that my son was acting like that the day before why did we bring him again today. (My husband was there on Saturday as well). Then your employee repeated himself again and stated why did we bring our son. When I asked the gentleman at the front desk for the managers business card, he did not want to give it to me. He said he is not suppose to give out the managers card. I also sent an email to the Manager Gus to the address on their website and I still have not received any reply. Horrible customer service!!! Dishonest car dealership!! I had a 'Malfunction Warning' on my Nissan Rogue on Sept 30. When I took the car in at Star Nissan to address the warning message, they affirmatively said the whole wiring system needs to be changed and will cost me $4,700. When I Googled, a lot of people were saying their warning message went away after they replaced their tires. Which make sense in my case. When I shared that info with them, they were very dismissive. I said I would to go get my tires replaced first. They charged me $300 for giving wrong advice. As soon as I replaced the tires the warning message went away. When I called and told them the issue was just needing new tires. They refused to refund me back my $300. I purchased a preowned 2018 vehicle from them yesterday and they didn't even give me a quarter of a tank to drive home with. I ask if they were going to fill the tank and they said No we only give you a quarter of a tank well they didn't even do that. I had less than a quarter of a tank and on the drive home the low fuel light came on. I lived in VA (Washington DC area) for 30 years and bought many cars down there and never has a dealer down there let you drive a car new or used that you purchased from them with less than a full tank of gas. These dealership does not know how to treat customers to ever have them return! Nor do they care about their reputation because in the Westmoreland County area their are a lot of relatives and friends that talk about car dealerships good and bad and I have heard about them is how bad they are on many different levels!!! read more

Long overdue review but just want to say that my family had a great experience here over a year ago when we went in to lease a Rogue. We knew exactly what we wanted when we walked in - which I think helped. We got the feeling that employees here genuinely wanted to help us, not try to play games or rip us off, which we have experienced at other dealerships. We were out of there in about an hour, with our new lease deal that we were very happy with. We almost didn't come here because of the negative reviews but all car dealerships are going to have negative reviews because usually people who have had bad experiences tend to post about them. My advice is do your research on the car and price before going into the dealership. read more

Wow after reading the previous reviews I thought I went to a different dealership. Honestly, I first came to Star Nissan last summer because the salespeople out at Garden City Nissan drove me out because of all their lies. Maybe it was just luck but when I arrived at Star Nissan in July 2015, salesperson Joe Kolb made leasing a Nissan Rogue the easiest purchase, without pressure, I have ever done. Last week I turned in my 2013 Murano that I leased at Garden City Nissan to Star Nissan. Salesperson Joe Kolb helped me lease a new 2016 Murano and it was completed very easily. No high-pressure sales. I've nothing negative to report. But I advise you to get all of the information about your car before you decide to buy or lease. You need to be smart and informed about the vehicle you are seeking. Its always better to know your vehicle as well as the salesman does. Additionally, you can't always rely by the bad reviews that you will read on Yelp because basically it's the pissed off people that are the first to review. read more

My review is obviously one of the many that recognize this business as unprofessional and shady. I was trying to sell a used car and was working with Chris. We had scheduled an appointment for him to see the car in order to offer a quote and he never showed up or called. After reaching out to the dealership after they opened the response was "I know, I forgot." After scheduling a second appointment and being assured I'd hear from him to confirm, I once again did not hear anything until I reached out. Finally, he came by for the quote and I agreed to a price. I met him at the dealership for paperwork that was supposed to take "5 minutes." He never had me sign the title and when I asked was told that I didn't have to, which does not seem correct. I was left waiting for someone to cut me a check, several times during my wait I was assured it would be right down. 45 minutes later it was still not ready and I followed up again to be be told that the owner was not there to sign it. Clearly annoyed, I started questioning Chris only to be walked away from while speaking. I got my title back and left with reassurance it would supposedly be able to be handled tomorrow. I called to speak to a manager, Gus, who took my complaint and let it go in one ear and out the other. The response was, "you got you title back let's just move on, forget it happened." Clearly this is the standard of service that this business is known for and from the reviews it is obviously that nothing is being done to address the problems the business is having. This is crystal clear just from how the manager speaks in general. I walked in today as was greeted by bob I inquired about test driving a car, it was quickly disregarded as he said we would have to talk numbers and trims before any test drive would happen. No explanation or reasoning, after explaining that I wanted to test the waters with other cars he told me to see him last after I test drove all the other cars. That was Incredibly off putting. After test driving the other cars I come back to star Nissan, Bob is there with a welcoming "your back" I asked the receptionist for a different salesperson. Bob took it like a champ and walked away laughing to himself as I needed to give a reason to the receptionist as to why I wanted a different salesperson. Then I met with Ali, who explain that due to covid-19 the new policy was that no test drive would be scheduled until numbers were talked about . I went to every single dealership on that block Volkswagen,Subaru,Toyota and test drove the highest trim 2021 model with no issue at all. Ali took me back to his desk where his half eaten sandwich was and took out a pad to write down numbers. The conversation quickly turned into Ali seeing how many times he could repeat "new policy means that there would be no test drive" "My entire stock isn't even at the dealership it's at belmont race track", "do you know how much work it is to have the cars sent here, and the inconvenience it would be to the drivers to move the cars around". What a great feeling to be considered a inconvenience. I don't know anyone that would put a deposit down on a car that they haven't even driven yet. He told about how he had a 2020 Nissan Murano in the store, but after asking to test drive that he said he wouldn't want to put mileage on it. Ali then proceeded to pull out a book to show me all the trims and colors for the car, I told him there was no point in having this conversation if I wasn't going to able to test drive the car. I Left star Nissan frustrated and baffled on how this dealership is still in business. I can only assume that everyone retuned to doing nothing and Ali finished his sandwich because the place was a ghost town and the showroom was filled with unsold cars. Before the customer representative responds to my Yelp review asking what they can do better and to call her don't bother. I understand 100% why you guys have two stars and have already called koeppel Nissan in woodside who were incredibly happy with setting up a test drive for tmr. Ok I went in on 5/26 to look at a 2015 Murano, as I been shopping around for a good price. Upon entering I was acknowledge and greeted without been swarmed, which is BIG imo (out of seven recent dealer, only this and White Plains gave me room to breath.) When I was ready I approached the counter and I was assigned Lionel as a sales rep. Now I did read the other reviews about the sales department, but I guess it all depends on who you speak to because he was a polite, helpful, and no pressure kind of representative who truly wanted to make the customer happy (how customer service is meant to feel.) He helped me find a great deal, answered all my questions and went the extra mile to explain all the ins and out the purchase process and the car. I got all the info I needed and was ready to walk out, guess what no pressure still?! I went to my car, analyzed the experience and decided that this was the right place to get it from, went back in and purchased the thing. As they have the big frame with big certificates on the wall--- " life time oil change FREE"--- they will tell you FREE is only for you when you pay for the Service Charge, the price from $170--$500. Otherwise you will not have the service of Life time Free oil change from their promise. Also, once when you said you don't need the service their face changed right the way and very bad attitudes and the most important is let you wait few hours only the oil chang !! read more

Avoid Star Nissan when buying a used vehicle. It is evident from my experience that they do not check their cars before reselling. After buying a used car in April, I had to get my car serviced 4 times and order new parts within a month of buying the vehicle. Then, when I try to bring matters up to the salesman and manager (Gus), I get the run around and my phone calls avoided for days. The worst possible customer service provided by the staff. So I warn all to avoid Star Nissan, buying a car from them means weeks of headaches and fixing all the problems yourself. Sadly you have to not only do research on the vehicle you want, but on the dealership. Not to my surprise, after this has occurred, I find to discover that Star NISSAN has an F with the Better Business Bureau and several complaints. read more

I had such a bad experience here and will not only never go back but have told friends and family to never go here. My sales rep was Jeff Meltser and he was horrible. What a sleazy operation! Not only did they push us for a credit card before they would give us a price, but once we told them we were shopping price, the manager refused to give us a price. The poor salesman didn't know what to do with himself! read more

I only have 1 word for this place... RUN! and don't look back! every person I know including me had trouble with this dealership. They are nasty and they will rip you off. I spent 8 hours waiting to pick up my new car, and the next morning when I inspected my car , it was all scratched up.
