I'm usually in and out within an hour because my parents are waiting in the lobby and get restless if they're seated too long. What's key for me is their expertise to inspect annually for any maintenance issues and troubleshoot the root causes that cause our car alarm to turn on randomly at night, a faulty transmission, etc. We've tried Honda dealers, but they usually upsell us or charge higher rates where the returns on investment don't support their surcharges. I realized that the staff here is likely too candid to know how to sweet talk customers and sugar coat any recommendations. They tried several times to dissuade my dad from fixing a 2001 Odyssey van because it wasn't worth the value of the car from two decades of depreciation with issues, ranging from air conditioning to a stolen catalytic converter when parked on the street in New York City. However, my dad insisted on repairing it because it was useful for transporting larger items, ranging from equipment to furniture. It's truly hard to find mechanics and a body shop you trust to bring your car and those of your loved ones. It helps that their crew (e.g., Ricky) can speak Chinese slowly and clearly to relate to my dad with his hearing impairments. Nobody's perfect in this imperfect world, so sometimes you need to take a leap of faith and find someone willing to work with you and relay all the info that you need to decide how to move forward or not with fixing your car. For me, it's better to hear the good, bad, and ugly truth than to not know the inside scoop for making a more informed decision, especially the tough ones.

Came in to get pricing and advise on a 2016 Honda CRV ex. Car was having issues with jittery…read moresteering, rear suspension was causing uneven and bumpy ride over any type of road, car has 88k miles with original suspension. I end up getting KYB shocks and struts with full spring assembly on my own. I had the shop install the front struts and rear shocks and they advise front linkage needed replacement as well. When car came back and was road tested, i realized no more shaking at speeds over 50mph, suspension felt very smooth, all tires felt in place and brakin was improved aling with sharp steering. Mike did a great job, the car felt like brand new. Job was done quickly and 4 hrs later they were calling me to pick up. I was so happy, that i am already thinking about doing the same to my other car. They are experts working diligently to deliver proper customized individual solutions. My dad was a customer of Freddys' for over 20 years and I've been a customer of both Freddy and Sal for years now. This is the only car repair shop that I go to and trust wholeheartedly. I have had various wear and tear issues fixed and have never had to return for repair work they have performed. After dropping the car off I have always been called with a diagnosis within two or three hours and after approving of the repairs, was able to pick the car up by the end of day. The pricing is fair and I am shown the old parts upon pickup (my air filter was scary). I am certain I am not the only one that feels this way. Disappointing Experience After Years of Loyalty I've been a…read moreloyal customer of Keith's since his days working out of his backyard and continued to support him after he opened his shop. Unfortunately, my recent experience has made me question Keith's commitment to his clients. I brought my car in for brake pads, and Keith texted me saying that the wheel lug locks key was broken and that I would need to take my car elsewhere to have the wheel locks removed. When I picked up my car keys, I noticed that two of the wheel locks were broken and two were still intact. After getting the intact wheel locks removed at a tire shop, the tire shop said we cannot fix someone else's mistake. I reached out to Keith and informed him that the wheel locks were broken, NOT the wheel lock key. However, Keith insisted that he had given me the key and said the wheel locks are broken, which was false, as I found it in the vehicle after I got off the intact wheel locks. Rather than taking responsibility for the mistake, Keith claimed that whoever previously worked on the car had over-tightened the wheel locks. He also stated that his shop did not have the tools to fix the issue, offering no solution. When I asked why he continued after breaking one wheel lock, his response was that they would replace three of the pads and leave the one until I fixed it. I ended up paying $140 to remove the remaining two broken wheel locks. Additionally I paid Keith $180 for the brake pads, even though the issue was not properly addressed, and the customer service was lacking. It's disheartening to have such a poor experience after being a loyal customer for so long. Keith's business would benefit greatly from improving its customer service and taking responsibility when things go wrong.
