I was quoted about $92 per ton for river rock, while other spots were noticeably higher for the same thing. Customer service over the phone was great too... super helpful, answered my questions without trying to upsell me, and just made the whole process easy. Delivery was only $50, which honestly surprised me because a lot of places tack on way more. Only thing I'll say, why is rock so expensive in Las Vegas when we're literally surrounded by it? But compared to other quotes I got, this was definitely the best deal and the least stressful experience. This Star Nursery location on Cheyenne in North Las Vegas is definitely worth checking out. Their indoor plant selection stood out to me right away everything looked healthy, well taken care of, and not neglected like you sometimes see at other places. They're also running 50% off pots right now, which is a nice bonus because their pots can be a little pricey but you can definitely tell it's because of the quality. With the sale, it actually feels worth it. The whole place was clean and organized, and the staff were friendly and easy to approach if you had questions. Only thing I noticed (and kinda missed lol) no cats at this location. I've seen the little nursery cats at other Star locations and they're always a cute touch. I love star nursery ...that being said I am usually overcharged and it happened again today with an $8 overcharge making it necessary to ask the cashier to change the price, which they did. I stopped by yesterday to find some moss poles for a couple of my houseplants. Although I didn't find any, I did peruse their selection of plants and picked up a couple of succulents, a plant pot, and some soil. It's always fun to walk around outside amongst their vast selection of flowers, plants, trees, and more. I love that they have labels on everything so you can learn the names of what you're looking at and if it's something that you could possibly keep alive at your own house. There is signage that lets customers know that they may not have everything you're looking for due to COVID-19, so I didn't stress not finding what I originally came for. Had a couple of spots left in our raised gardens and stopped in Star Nursery on Cheyenne to see what starter plants they had. This location is not our normal spot, but so glad we popped in! They had a huge selection of great looking vegetable plants with a good amount of organic choices to pick from. We got a pack of Straight 8 Cucumbers and 3 big packs of different lettuces. Have to get these growing and harvested before the Vegas heat kicks in! Sadly no worms for the compost tumbler, asked if they would be getting anymore in this season and they said no Star Nursery locations would be getting any. So, still on the hunt for those. Star Nursery used to be the best when it came to great products and customer service. Our last few experiences here have been very disappointing, and today was no exception. The sign in the store said 50% off all Pottery. After spending a lot of time looking for exactly what we wanted, we were told at the check out that not all Pottery was 50% off, but only the POTS. Star Nursery, you need to make sure your in-store advertising is accurate, and not misleading. It was a waste of our time, and we walked away as unsatisfied customers. read more

I stopped by with my husband to pick up some large pots, concrete mix and a few other garden supplies. They do have a nice selection of plants, pots, and succulents. We looked around the entire indoor and outdoor areas and made note of some things we want for our next trip here. Everything was going great until we went up to the register to pay. So we had all of our items in a cart, including a gardening hat. The woman ringing us up (Simone) gave us some major attitude and tried to make it seem like we were stealing the hat. I went in there with my Gradmother and when we asked for help from the cashier for help on what is the best fertilizer for growing/planting fruit trees she then asked "Are you planting them in the ground?".
