I am from the valley, but I have my car in Lancaster and I needed a smog test. I yelped a few places I came here. I called a head of time had a question about the coupon, and I came in. I am glad I did, Chuck was friendly and the smog test took a few minutes. Once he was done, he asked if I had more questions I did. It was that time of year for a smog check on my car so I decided to search for some local businesses on line. I quickly found their web page and printed out a coupon. Its on the front page. It was at that time where I also realized that I could really use an oil change. Yup, they have a deal for that too. I went right in and the guys at the 76 in Lancaster took care of it. I got to see all the work and oil being drained to my car right before my eyes. No closed doors, underground pits or hidden waiting rooms. They even gave me a free fountain drink while I waited for service to be done. Oil change service and a smog check with certificate for my car just cost me $75 dollars plus they really know how to treat a lady. They also took care of that pesky "time for regular maintenance" light. They were really helpful and had friendly service. It would have cost tons more anywhere else. The part I liked the most was they actually honored the coupon with no silly additions to my bill. I'm definitely coming back again. read more

This was a very convenient place to get your smog check and also get your tags. There is a $25 charge for printing the tags there but I think it's just a very small fee to pay to get your tags right away if your registration is expiring right away. Highly recommend this spot! read more

I arrived and rolled down my window at the smog check garage doors, and was greeted by Chuck pretty promptly. He was very professional and friendly. Andrew the other attendant was also nice and provided information about registering the car serviced in house but I didnt need that service for the $25, I can just do that online myslef. Your car may be a bit more expensive to smog depending on the year so call in for a quote if you're not sure about the price. I had one guy ahead of me but we were done in about 20 or so minutes. It was my first time getting a smog check and Joe was very helpful and nice! It took only 15 minutes! Definitely recommend this place for a smog check and other DMV services. They can do services like tags, ownership name change, change of mailing address, etc., it is so convenient and you don't have to wait in line at the DMV but pay a convenience charge of 25$. Helpful, knowledgable, and fast. Previously, I took my car to a smog station in the area whose name I won't mention, and they let my 1996 dodge sit for over an hour (basically to let it cool down), and the car barely failed. They tried getting me to do a $90 diagnostic and buy new tires "so the car would pass." I'm so happy I found this 76 though. This 76 Smog Station is certified, and he takes the time to explain everything to you and WARMS the car up. I was in there and out in 30 minutes, and I will definitely be going back here for all future smogs. Not sure sure how this place of business has such glowing reviews. On their website it states their hours of operation are Mon - Sat 9 AM - 6 PM no appointments needed. I stopped by for a Smog Check inspection at around 5:10 PM on a Saturday. It was closed for the day. I informed the young man who works at the 76 gas station there that on their website it states they'd be open until 6 PM. He said that has changed, and they are now open until 5 PM on Saturdays. He said I can come by Monday. I asked they are open until what time on Monday. He said 9 PM then he said 5 PM but to call a number on their card to let them know I will be coming in after 5. Is that not an appointment, I thought no appointments needed. Never coming here again. read more
