I came in today this morning right at 855am because they opened up at 9am. I waited in my car for ten minutes, nothing happened. At 910am, I went inside the gas station to ask the clerk what's going on. He knew nothing. Waited another 10 minutes and then left. After "being open supposedly at 9am", I waited for 20 minutes and they never opened. Time is Money. And I'm a very punctual kinda guy. They lost my business and possibly MORE with this review. Don't waste my time. Especially on my day off. I won't ever come back and if anyone asks me about this location, it's bad comments coming from my mouth. False advertising! I called 3 times to ask questions about the total out-the-door price if I passed the test. I was expecting $39.99 per coupon and online ad as well as yelp ad plus $8.25 certificate fee. I asked about ETF fee but was told, it would be difficult to say. So $48.24 +an unknown ETF (electronic transfer fee) which ended up bringing the total to $69.99 with discount coupon!! BEWARE. The service was quick and professional just felt very misleading. Had he told me the whole facts beforehand, I would have arranged my schedule to go elsewhere. BEWARE! Also the "Free Re-Test" is "within 3 business days, so good luck managing that if you don't pass! I was in a rush but could have saved $24 by going to the Smog on 15th street that quoted me $46 out -the-door but had an hour wait at the time. read more

It didn't go well at all. Due to a cover on my intercooler that is carb compliant, the technician wrote "tampered" and turned me away. This cover was on my car when I bought it, it was there during my last smog check and it was there during this attempted smog check. My advice to anyone trying to get their car smog checked here is have absolutely nothing dressing up your car or anything that is compliant but not stock. read more

I looked this place up and it stayed brake and lamp inspection. I call and they said they don't do it anymore. Lazy asses...change your stupid ad. I heard this place gives you your tags and pretty much handles the paperwork so there's no need for the dmv. These fools told me a different price than what they told my girl. She pays 20 cheaper. I was really confused when the DMV sent me a renewal notice saying that I needed to go to a Test Only Center. I just didn't know where to go. I went on Google and did some research and found 76 Smog Test Only near my house in Lancaster. Their website was really helpful and they helped me answer a lot of questions over the phone. My car had to go to a test only facility and not a regular mechanics shop. I went in the next day with no appointment and they performed a smog check on my car. The tech was really kind and charged me only 50 dollars flat with no other fees. My car passed and at the end of the day I was less confused about the test only process. Ask for Chuck. read more

They are a star certified station and can take care of your vehicle and DMV registration, located right in the heart of Lancaster on west Ave J. I've been to a few other stations in the valley and this is by far the best smog check station on this side of town. Very clean super fast and for a good price. I printed out the coupon and he honored it right away. The smog guy was nice and gave me a free fountain drink inside the store while I waited. They are really convenient because you dont have to wait in long lines at the DMV anymore. Just come to this place and they can issue your stickers after the smog check. I am from the valley, but I have my car in Lancaster and I needed a smog test. I yelped a few places I came here. I called a head of time had a question about the coupon, and I came in. I am glad I did, Chuck was friendly and the smog test took a few minutes. Once he was done, he asked if I had more questions I did. I arrived at 4:45pm and the employee that came to my car informed me that not only do they close at 5pm, but because it takes him 15 minutes to close, by arriving at 4:45pm he couldn't help me and told me to come back another day! He could have easily completed my smog check and closed down before 5pm, I was the only car there. It doesn't take 15 minutes to power down a couple computers and lock up the place.
