Don't waste your time. There are apparently several different websites for this place and several different coupons for $37.95. One website and coupon says they're open Sunday, which they are not. I tried to call the phone number on coupon to verify BEFORE going down there but apparently it's to some fax machine. These guys wasted my time and gas. I called before I came and the person was really nice and answered all my questions and told me the normal price but said he would give me the current coupon price. When I went in it was a different person and when he told me the regular price I let him know that the other guy gave me a coupon price and he did it for me no problem. The service was fast and the guy was very accommodating, as this was my first time bringing my car for a smog. The place didn't seem like much because it was small and only had one garage. There were 3 cars ahead of me. This place was able to get my vehicle done in 30 mins. This is for the service offered. I felt that the service here was relatively rushed and frankly not all too courteous. Smog is smog, pass or fail, a service which should be the same everywhere except perhaps at a smog and repair center where they try to fix it there for some ridiculous price. This is a test only place so that was a plus. Smog was ok speed wise about 35 min or so, not bad, but I felt the manager or owner was rather unfriendly and his employee seemed pretty hard on the car. Not the best price in town, 58 with tax and cert which I asked for a discount which he was nice enough to give me. Can't give 5 because I just felt it was bad service in hospitality. Everything was fine until after paying almost $50. For the smog check I noted an alarm light on that wasn't on before the smog check. The mechanic was very belligerent when I asked him to explain this light. He was inappropriate , I reported this to him and the other mechanic who was helpful and apologized. Small Place located in the Mobil gas Station....but very professional and nice. I brought my car here and the first time the Smog Check failed. Oh no =( Well, they calmly told me that if I had done anything battery related then all my sensors would be resetted so I would have to drive 100 miles or more to get them to the point where it was ready to run the smog tests. Long story short, I had to drive another tank of gas basically but came back two more times, both times at no charge of course. I'll be coming back! read more

I made an appointment and was taken in less then five minutes. The smog process and certificate was done within fifteen minutes. Everyone I spoke with was polite and professional. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a smog check station, and one that was STAR certified, near me, so I made an appointment right away. Very conveniently located which I spotted on the way home from getting my car servcied. Called to find out pricing and they gave me an online price which seemed reasonable. No appointment necessary, I went back later that day. Turns out that what I needed they should have quoted me $5 more, but they honored the price I was quoted over the phone. I was going to shop at sprouts while I waited for my car, but ended up getting a pedicure instead. I took so long with the pedicure that when I got back to get my car, it was already waiting for me. Location is great and the people who work there are very, very nice. Would highly recommend to anyone and I will go back when I need another smog. read more

Awesome. Just awesome. Who likes getting a smog check? I definitely don't...which is why I paid my registration at AAA when it was due and waited a month to get my smog check, mainly because I wanted to avoid sitting in a hot, smelly service station for an hour on a Saturday. After having a police car linger behind me for a little too last night, I thought I had probably procrastinated enough and decided to check out a smog station near my office. I actually meant to go to Poway Smog Station and when I saw this one I thought it was it and pulled in. I was on my lunch hour, and spent a good 25 minutes at Subway getting lunch, so needless to say I was in a self-imposed time crunch. I jumped out of my car, lunch in hand and was immediately greeted by the friendly service member. I said, "I know you guys are fast, but can you be extra fast for me?" He said, "Not a problem, I can get you out of here before you finish your sandwich." The paperwork was done in less than 2 minutes and began eating my lunch. I sat in a CLEAN, AIR CONDITIONED room with free Wi-Fi. $50 (after a Yelp check-in discount) and 10 minutes and I was on my way! Thank you Star Station Smog for getting my smog check done pain free! Had my car smogged here today. Looked online and called around, and they were the cheapest. Asked first and was told that I didn't have to print off the coupon, just needed to mention it.
