These tours are a nuisance to the local communities they operate in. I narrowly avoided a collision with an aggressive tour van operator who pulled blindly right into the flow of traffic onto PCH -- a road that has seen so much destruction, and is now undergoing major construction -- yet the driver pulls out aggressively, stopping intermittently to 'show off the sights,' and are generally a danger on the roads and hazard to other motorists. I called the company to complain about the driver. They said they would speak to him and respond. They didn't, and when I called a second and third time, a man, likely the owner, (Jeff) got very aggressive. He claimed I was calling the wrong company, despite me sending a photo of the van that cut me off. He did not respond to the picture. Instead, he threatened to call the cops on me for simply bringing this to his attention. Very aggressive, and not surprised that this is how he operates his business. We don't need businesses like this, run by clowns like this on our streets. read more

We did Mulholland drive & Overlook, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Universal Studios, Sunset blvd, Hollywood & even passed the Hotel scene & apartment complex of Pretty Woman; Julia Robert's & Richard Gere. Ohhh let's not 4get the store Julia was turned away in the Movie . R. I. P where Michael Jackson died in his rental Estate but tour also included the home where he & his wife Lisa Marie Presley,; Elvis Presley daughter lived. We passed Elvis' home, Lucille Ball, Keanu Reeves, Britney Spears & so many more. We also passed the Beverly Hills Hotel of Dignitaries & Celebrities etc. the best of the best stay there. Good sightseeing tour that even took us up into the Hollywood hills. Nice guide, good pace of tour. Bought a ticket on Groupon for $15/each. Only drawback was that we had to wait for people to join the tour. The guide and company did their best to entertain us, but 20 minutes late is too late; I would have gone without the large group that was that late. read more

This was such a great time! Our driver DJ was fantastic and showed us so many awesome views and sights. We found the tour on Groupon nice and cheap and got an almost 2.5 hour night trip to the Hollywood hills, sunset strip, Beverly hills and rodeo drive village. He had lots to tell us and many cheesy jokes and made the whole experience great throughout. We would absolutely take this tour again without a doubt. My mom and I spontaneously decided to take the Star Track tour, and even after being an LA resident for over 10 years, it was fun to see all the celebrity homes and explore the city like a tourist. Our tour guide was absolutely incredible--full of energy and fun! Riding with him was like being on a rollercoaster, and his enthusiasm made the whole experience enjoyable. There was a moment when I needed to put more time on my parking meter before our trip, and our guide was super accommodating, making it part of the tour without skipping a beat. We wanted a picture with the Hollywood Sign and Star Track was the only one in/around Hollywood Blvd that does them. I just walked up and talked to the guy running the kiosk and negotiated not only a Hollywood Sign tour, but a private celebrity tour as well. Maybe I got a better deal because I paid in cash, but 2.5hr for under $300 before tip for 3 people is NOT bad. Our driver was polite, friendly, a GOOD driver and super knowledgeable. My family was visiting from out of town and I hate driving in L.A. so I got them set up with an all day private tour with the owner, Jeff. He gave us the VIP treatment we deserve, picking us up we started our adventure in Hollywood on the walk of fame, over Mulholland drive (that's a wild road to be on), through Laurel Canyon through Sunset strip, through Beverly Hills, out to the ocean, then a leisurely drive over to the Griffith Observatory for a spectacular sunset. All the while, Jeff answered all our questions, gave us time for lunch, stopped when my niece had to use the bathroom, and made for a delightful, memorable day in L.A. Worth EVERY penny, and then some (service like that, I tipped 20 percent for all the personal touches.) HIGHLY recommend. read more

Star tours was a fun way to see the city! I have lived here for a couple of years and wanted to take my mom to have a tour of the city and learn more about my neighborhood. They took us to all the best places and had something interesting to learn on every corner. I really liked when they took us to gates of large houses and then showed us what the houses looked like from drone footage to see the whole estate. Some places I've only seen from the outside had houses that were much larger than I ever could have imagined! Our guide DJ had really good energy and was really fun to get a tour from! First off I ordered tickets from Groupon. I called to book the Saturday at 4 pm tour but was told that because I was using a Groupon I would not be able to use it on the busiest day of the week which was a Saturday. The Groupon I purchase was for the weekend not during the week. So I was very disappointed that we ended up booking the tour on a Friday evening 7 pm. In my opinion this is a horrible way to run a business. The Groupon I purchased was for a Saturday. I also have a business and provide a fee for service and I would never treat my customers differently based on what they would pay me. Every customer should be treated the same regardless of what they pay and if the Groupon is not valid on a Saturday then it should be very clear to state that on Groupon There is no distancing and no enforcement of masks. Every seat was taken so your sitting right next to everyone. Seriously not safe considering that not everyone is vaccinated, Covid cases are in the rise and now we have the Delta Plus virus which is more contagious. I took my three teenagers and they didn't enjoy it. By 45 minutes I was hoping it was over but it ran almost 2 hours. The tour itself seems outdated and pretty boring. We live in Los Angeles and I feel like I didn't really learn anything new or exciting . I love taking tours but this one didn't cut it . I was a bit disappointed The tour guide was nice so no complaints there read more

It was a decent tour. Saw some famous Hollywood sites. It is not a drive I would like to attempt. Our driver Dan was knowledgeable. Of course, I'm not at all familiar with local lore, etc. Highlight for me was the drive down Laurel Canyon.
