I don't come around this part of town too often, but I was in the area and decided to stop for some coffee. I'm all about the locally made syrups and as I asked questions about the menu, I found out that all of their syrups are made right here. I went with the Pine Nut Spice Latte and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. I could really taste the Pine Nut and it was only mildly sweet, which I loved. I also had a Tahini Rose Chocolate Chip Cookie, also made on-site I was told. Really yummy!! The place itself has a modern look with cozy seats to fit your taste and the staff is really friendly and welcoming. I think I have found my favorite coffee place. Their flavors are Native American inspired, with ingredients I love like maize, pine nuts and sage. I can't wait to come back and try something else.

Star Village Coffee is a nice little place! My friend suggested we try it out and it was a great choice. We both got Matcha drinks, split a slice of pumpkin bread and a tahini cookie, and overall enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the place. Also, love how the place embraces Native American culture!

I cannot recommend Star Village Coffee enough. I love it so much! I am absolutely obsessed with the Blueberry and Lavender iced latte. It's so different from any other latte I have ever tried and whether it's hot or iced, it's an absolute must try! The space is large, very clean, beautifully decorated and organized. I also love the vibrant local native artwork that is displayed throughout. The service is always excellent and the staff are friendly and very helpful if you need recommendations. Star Village is definitely within my top three coffee lounges in Reno.

While it's not a prime location, I like this coffee shop a lot! It's fairly spacious and never very crowded, making it a great place to get some work done. They have several surge protectors placed around the tables for laptop users. The staff are very friendly. They sell their coffee by the bag, and the best part is the specialty drinks! Hot honey orange blossom latte, pine nut latte, sage mint latte... SO GOOD! They're Native American owned and family operated, so I like to support this local shop.

We came here on Jan 1st. We have our usual coffee spots but they were closed for the holiday so when we looked up another coffee shop this one came up with already pretty good reviews. It is located in the Mills street area which is sometimes a hit or mix but this coffee shop is in a newly developed building and is really nice. The sign/logo is so cool as well as inside with their decor. The personnel were very nice and fast. We also bought their coffee beans that sounded really good so will have to try those as well. I got the orange blossom honey latte and my husband got the seasonal maple latte. Both of which were very good! The drinks were warm rather than hot so that was a bit strange but otherwise was sooo good. Can't wait to go back and try the pine nut latte and chai. Definitely will come back'

We are back! Gah - I love this place. My husband has deemed it the best coffee in Reno! We stopped in for a quick cup. I got the Honey Orange Latte (duh!) and he decided to try the Pine Nut Latte. He was a big fan and said it was a bit buttery and had another taste of herbs - which was delicious! The baristas were very kind and answered all my husband's questions about Pine Nuts and Pine Nut Milk. We love Star Village and will continue to come as often as we can!

Enjoyed my morning coffee treat here at Star Village, for the first time! I had heard from my fellow yelpers that the chai latte was worth a try so that's what I ordered:) i did make it a dirty chai with almond milk and it was quite tasty. I was hoping for more of that chai spice that I enjoy so much but still a very good chai! I also ordered their gluten free maple almond cake, and I must say... it was delicious for a gluten free pastry! Paired really well with the chai. What I really enjoy is the ambience here, very modern, bright and plenty of seating, which i appreciated since I was also working on my laptop. They have plenty of parking on their lot reserved for their customers and also street parking is available. The staff was also very attentive and cheerful, happy to help:) that was awesome considering that it was my first time here and they were ready to answer any of my questions. Will definitely be coming back and spreading the word

This spot is so underrated. Star Village Coffee is my #1 favorite coffee shop in Reno - hands down! I always recommend this place to any of my friends and family members who need a good cup of joe or a pick-me-up matcha. Not to mention, their baked goods are also a delight. This place is always CONSISTENT with their drinks, pastries, & service and I think that's something other Reno cafes struggle with. Everything I've tried from their menu never failed to satisfy me. A few of my "get agains": hot sage mint latte, hot rose matcha, ANY of the pastries I think their menu is on the pricier side compared to other coffee shops in Reno, but I think it does reflect on the quality they put out through their food/drinks This place is great for big groups as well whether that would be for studying, a meeting, or just a together over coffee with a few buddies. I've been coming to this place for over a year to study because the ambiance is perfect. There's plenty of tables/chairs, seating next to outlets, and there's always a good playlist playing in the background. The staff here is always super friendly. One of them knows me by name and my order whenever I come! It's the little things like this that really speak about a business :) This place truly deserves more recognition as a coffee shop in Reno!

I highly recommend this coffee shop. The coffee tastes great. The decor is fresh and clean and modern. The barista was friendly and took care in making my latte art. There's also a dedicated parking lot and lots of street parking. This is my new go-to for networking or friend coffee dates!

Will definitely be going back. Ambience is very minimalistic; very plain, clean. I noticed a few people go in with their laptops. So it is WiFi friendly (: Their coffee is amazing! Very earthy tones. Some might not be into the strong flavors Star Village offers but I do! So far, the Orange Blossom is my favorite. Food... I haven't tried any... YET. Although they do offer some light treats. & last but not least, the customer service is phenomenal. They're always so sweet and ask how we like it. They're very kind! coffee pastries seating wifi patio

Native American owners and family operated coffee company. This bright coffee shop is located on Mills, in the northeast corner of an office building. Plenty of street parking and a share lot with the building. The weekends they are the only ones open. The bright blue colors, black geometric patterns and large with create a beautiful and inviting place to enjoy coffee with friends. Their menu is very unique, using interesting local ingredients. Pine nut spice latte, orange blossom hot honey latte, sage mint latte and blueberry lavender latte are all wonderful hot, and even iced. Chai, rose matcha, matcha and tribal teas are available. Along with the usuals - espresso, Americano, cappuccino, drip and cold brew. There's a light coffee cake / pastry selection. Their story and mission is fabulous. They wish to remind us that well-established food systems are right out our front door. They highlight a few forgotten local ingredients to give respect to their long line of artisans they descend from. Chokecherries, sage, and pine nuts are all local to the area. And are incorporated in the making of the specialty drinks. The use of indigenous ingredients also represent a part of their food culture. Remember these ideals the next time you stop at Starbucks or McDonald's for your coffee. Be local. Be unique. Be supportive. Stop at Star Village.

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Star Village Coffee and it and lived up to the hype! This clean and modern little shop welcomes you in with friendly baristas and comfy chairs. They are roasting their own coffee which is always a great place to start. My husband really liked his Maize Latte, it was sweet but not in a cloying or overly sugary way. It was very balanced and yummy. I had the Tribal Tea which was a nice hot, and toasty drink. Earthy and refreshing, a good pick me up on a cool morning. We are really looking forward to coming back and trying the pine nut latte and a slice of the rose pistachio cake.

Went back and the food and drinks are so good! The barista's very nice and friendly. The atmosphere's amazing. We had Maize Latte, Pinenut Spice Latte, and the Sweet Potato Pinenut Bread. It's soooo delicious!!!

This location is a small shop with only a little bit of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. This is primarily the roasters location, so it's a great place to enjoy the freshest of coffee but also a great place to purchase beans. They had a very large selection of beans for purchase. Both drinks were very good. The quality of the drip coffee was superior. I want to visit again and try a coffee flight. That's something I've always wanted to do. Overall, friendly staff, delicious coffee, and even though it's hard to find, this hidden gem is well worth the stop. Cheers!

It would not be out of place in a three-Michelin-star dining room. He roasts every batch himself over a wood fire, feeding a beautiful old roaster with logs he chops by hand. His espresso blends are composed with a level of precision that feels almost synesthetic. Ask him what he is aiming for and he will describe the roast in shapes: how wide the base should be, whether it tapers or flares, how many sides the finished polygon has. I have stood there listening, fascinated, with no real idea what he is talking about, then tasted the cup and understood anyway. Important to know: this is not a coffee shop. There is no barista counter. It is a modest storefront and warehouse, and if you stop by you will likely see Tim at the roaster, stoking the fire. The aroma is arresting from the street. That wood fire imparts a signature note that sets his coffee apart. It does not turn smoky in the jerky sense. It reads as a gentle campfire thread running through the cup, adding warmth and dimension without heaviness. Since moving away from Reno I miss these beans enough that I cave and pay the shipping. If you order Priority Mail, the bags arrive right in the early sweet spot of their drinkability window, perfect for dialing in extraction. If you know your way around a grinder and an espresso machine, get these beans. Tim Curry is an amazing craftsman making world-class coffee, one hand-roasted batch at a time.

I definitely need to grab a bag of their medium roasts next time to take these profiles home.
