I had an early busy morning ahead of me. I needed to find out what was causing my knee pain and then I had to go straight to physical therapy for other conditions. So, I decided to try The Roost at ROC, since I was already there. I was very happy to see food from one of my favorite local places, Mother of Macros. I ordered a burrito and it was warmed up for me :) I ordered the special of the day, which was blackberry chai. I took it iced because I wasn't sure if I had time for anything hot. I was downtown getting some labs done and looked up coffee shops nearby. This one popped up as only 800ft away, so I decided to swing by! It was hard to find because Apple Maps doesn't say anything about this being inside the ROC Clinic. Even once inside the clinic, it was hard to find because I came in through a side entrance and didn't see any signs saying it was on the second floor. I finally found it and it's a pretty cool space! I love the tall outdoorsy artwork right next to the coffee shop. They have some pastries and other small food items, plus tons of drink options! I got a blueberry lavender iced tea for my friend, she loved it and said it was the perfect refreshing summer drink. I appreciated that they had some unique tea options for those that don't want coffee! They have a list of barista specials which has a wide variety of different drink flavor combos. I love specialty drinks, so I got their current special which was an iced strawberry maple latte! The drink was very tasty, I thought it had more of the strawberry taste than the maple but it still tasted good together! I got a lemon raspberry muffin, the register rang it up as a "Costco muffin" which made me laugh. You should just label it as a muffin so people don't realize it's just a rebranded muffin from somewhere else haha! It was quite tasty for being a Costco muffin though. This was a solid stop for drinks and snacks, I probably won't be back since I'm not ever in this area or at ROC but will definitely plan on going to their other drive thru location again in the future! read more

This place is located inside of ROC physical therapy building on the second floor. I was waiting in the lobby so I got a quick snack from them and a hot beverage. The employees here were really nice. Answer my questions and recommended suggestions for what to get. I ended up getting a breakfast burrito. It had eggs, potatoes and cheese, which is perfect because I don't eat pork. Along with a dirty chai with lavender syrup. I got to add coconut milk instead of regular milk without extra charge. This drink was really good. I liked the burrito too. Is directly in front of the physical therapy if you're waiting to go into your appointment. Or if you're waiting on someone else in the lobby downstairs. They offer food items if you need breakfast, snacks or a quick lunch. There is a sitting area off to the side which is really cool. That way you don't have to eat on your lap. read more

I had an appointment at ROC for a sprained ankle (boooo) so I decided to check out The Roost as a treat! They had a little line but the baristas were quick in getting their coffees and food out. I loved that they had a board of barista favorite drinks, it helps so much when I'm feeling uninspired and indecisive! I tried their gingerbread latte, the weekly special, and a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. The latte was nice and spicy at first but wasn't too overpowering! The bagel was yummy, but my cream cheese cup was missing, oops! The bagel and coffee came out separately, and I definitely didn't check my bag before I left, so that may have been my fault. Overall, if I ever see myself at the ROC or in the area again, I'd visit the Roost again! They were cutely decorated for the holidays and even had free donuts and drip coffee out for patrons as well! read more

The Roost had been my favorite for a long time. My usual has been a green tea frappe and green tea latte. Today my coworker went to get our usual orders for the office, ordered. When given my green tea, my coworker said that doesn't look like the green tea. Barrista quickly responded "we don't have that anymore and if she has a problem with the drink, she can bring it back!" What kind of customer service is that?! It tastes horrible! I don't normally complain but I am upset and an incident like this should not go unnoticed! read more

I stopped in to grab some caffeine before my appointment. The baristas were super quick to make the drinks for the persons before me. I ordered an iced dirty chai. The medium seemed GINORMOUS and may be considered LARGE at other vendors. So definitely good bang for your buck! It was made well and was super tasty. Would definitely recommend getting your coffee BEFORE checking in for your appointment. The ROC has superstar employees and get you in ASAP once you're checked in. Located on the 2nd floor of the roc right off the elevators. Clean, seating area available. The barista was friendly, coffee was weak, I asked for light half and half but they still put too much. No big deal, I asked for a remake, they just poured some out and added coffee, still too much cream but I just dealt with it. Not a lot of food options, outside there's a sign that says "you look hungry", advertising for "The Roost" but all they had was a few granola bars, chips and a single bagel. The other two baristas that were working were just standing around gossiping the entire time. You're at work, there's customers around, it's unprofessional. read more

Didn't realize that the roost was located inside the Reno Orthopedic Clinic building on the second floor. I found out after accompanying a family member for an appointment. The location is right outside the elevators on the second floor. It has a decent sitting area and inside a new building, it makes it stand out more. Ordered blended chai latte's with oatmilk and almond milk. Also ordered the special drink of the week which was a vanilla cold brew with cinnamon on the top. All drinks were well done. Felt a little more awake after drinking the cold brew. Besides just drink options, they also have a couple items for food such as bakery and others. The one staff member working was helpful and attentive when we stepped up to order. read more

NOT A GOOD LOOK. I was sitting waiting for a therapy appointment in front of The Roost @ R.O.C. There was a pleasant young girl working very hard then....two females dressed in surgery garments approached the counter. After a minute or so one them simply went behind the counter and made her own drink. Stopping to take a photo as well as she lingered behind the counter. Wow, with a world of pandemics it seems strange whether she was "washed up" or not this person did not belong behind the counter. Low standards. No thanks. read more

I think they might need a new microwave or something.. I've only gotten hot food twice from them but both times it wasn't thoroughly heated through, like it was still half frozen and I don't have time to do anything about it...... Otherwise very nice people working there, always clean and the set up it great. Sometimes I wish they had more than one person when it gets busy but they are so nice regardless and make everything so well. read more

Love this little coffee spot on the second floor in the ROC building. The drinks are always good and there is a never ending amount of choices. They also have some good food that's quick and easy. They also do buy one get one on Fridays which is a nice treat for myself and my coworkers since we work right across the street. They also are fairly priced in the world of overpriced coffee.
