    Beautiful oatmilk latte
    Maryanna S.

First of all, their coffee is wonderful. I needed somewhere to go to study with minimal distractions. Except for the sun, this was a great place. Good vibes all around. The gals at the counter were super friendly (but not OVERLY). I'm definitely going to put this place #1 on my study locations in south Reno. Get the oatmilk latte you won't regret it!

Service, the coffee and food are great here. Plenty of parking in front of the cafe and there is plenty of seating inside.

My Latte was perfect. Hub never disappoints!!

This was the perfect spot for coffee and breakfast after our morning hike. Hub continues to be one of my favorite places for coffee. I also tried the Fritatta (with Brocolli), which comes with a little salad. So yummy and super satisfying!! The service at any Hub I go to is always great and although I find each location to have a certain uniqueness, it is always a cozy and welcoming vibe. By the way, today I just had some Dark Roast with their house-made Oat Milk, instead of Half and Half... it's my new go-to. Better for you and great taste!

Came in today for a to-go snack before my work day began. I got the avocado toast and a 12 oz Lavender Oat Latte. The ordering process was simple and both the cashier and the barista were kind and attentive. They smiled, chatted about my morning, and said hello and goodbye. There was the local coffee shop charm that I love at places like this - especially one that has been around for so long! The latte was delicious! The lavender was just enough to not taste soapy and it was hot and stayed hot. The toast was delicious and fluffy. Those pickled onions were absolutely amazing and next time I will be sure to request extra of those guys!

Hub Coffee Roaster is one of my favorite local coffee spots and just realized they opened one in South Reno! We decided to stop by for before heading out to run errands and the place was luckily not too busy. So first of all the space is very nice. It's very large with lots of places to sit whether hanging out for a short or long time. I was also very pleasantly surprised that they carried several baled good from Beloved Bakery, which is one of my current obsessions (specially the ham and cheese croissant). We ordered the Lavender Chai and Maple Sugar for drinks and the gam and cheese croissant, of course. The service was quick and everyone was very nice and everything came out tasting so delicious. Now that I know this is so close to me and that they carry Beloved Bakery items, I will definitely be coming back more often.

This is such a roomy place! AND they have some comfy seating. I've noticed most of the Starbucks only have hard chairs and tables anymore. I appreciate comfy seating choices, especially if you plan on being there a while working or chatting. I also appreciate the size of the area for seating. So many Starbucks today seem so cramped. I had a loose leaf peach blossom tea. The set up for it was gorgeous! It included a timer for steeping. I'll def be visiting to beat the heat and have a work session here and need to explore their lavender iced chai tea next. :) service was friendly and quick. I had some questions about what was in the chai and they couldn't answer it really because it was a premade base.

    Lavender latte is beautifully tasty!

Yummm! Lavender latte! Great depth of flavor and I love supporting local. Great place to catch up with friends for coffee date.

The Hub has been in the Reno area for a long time and as a college student I frequented the downtown location on Riverside. My recent visit to the new South Reno location did not disappoint. The service was speedy and the staff was nice. You order at the counter and if you are staying inside to eat you get a number and the deliver to your table. I was very impressed with the quality of the coffee. They seem to have evolved a lot since my college days. The pumpkin cold brew was served in a beautiful glass and was awesome. My only complaint was the $6.50 price tag, especially for how little the glass was. The vanilla latte was good and the sausage breakfast burrito was tasty and extra hot after having them warm it up. The interior of this place is so well done. You can tell they put some money into it. Maybe that's why my cold brew was $6.50! They have plenty of merch to pick up while you're there as well as beans to go.

Friendly staff recommended great coffee and morning bites. Location is spacious with fast internet. My person favourite will be the trio beignets warmed up with an oat milk latte.

Yum! I haven't been here before but might be my new favorite place. I love that they put it in a" Real" cup ! It's clean, spacious lots of seating, fun place to hang with friends. There's a little outdoor seating. I found a new place to go. Of wedge parkway in meadow creek across from the ice rink. Check it out of you're on this side of town

I thought I had done a review on this spot, but I guess not. Hub is one of my favorite coffee shops in the Reno area and I was super excited when they open the south location. It's pretty, has nice views and there's plenty of seating if you wanna do some telework There is an area with small tables in a long bench and they have lots of plugs for your laptops. Now moving onto the coffee. The coffee is always perfect no matter what you order and they also carry pastries from Beloved which is another pastry place in town that I truly enjoy.

    Tara J.

We head across the street from the rink over to the hub all the time. The coffee is good. It's expensive but all coffee is right now.

    Cute seating area

I came in to enjoy a delicious dirty chai before meeting with a client. I was hoping to pickup a fluffy croissant of any kind, but unfortunately they were all burnt within the display case. I asked the cashier if they were left in the oven a little too long or if it was the lighting, and they were in fact a bit too burnt for my (or most peoples) liking. As I waited for my coffee, I watched multiple guests/ customers bus their own tables while staff were chatting behind the counter enjoying each other's company. There was not a line upon arrival nor as I waited for my coffee, so I did not quite understand why there were so many people behind the counter. One person on cashier, one person running food with three people making one coffee as guests bus their own tables. Other than that, great atmosphere to do work in or to meet clients.

Stopping into Clyde's transports you to a cozy winter lodge, yet still offers a beautiful deck space for the warm Tahoe days. The staff was very kind, answering any questions we had, and drinks were served up quickly. The pastries here looked absolutely insane! It took everything I had to pass up on them- but next time, I have already decided I am getting the apple streusel. The drinks are a bit pricey here, but the portions are large. Most iced/blended drinks are around $7.50, but they are 16-oz servings. The Green Monkey (blended matcha, almond milk, and banana) was so creamy and sweet, and delicious. The smoothies are soft serve-based and offer a perfect sweetness level while still being fresh from the fruit and creamy like a milkshake. I'm a huge fan of Coffeebar in general, so when I saw a location I had never known about or been to, I threw it straight into the map and headed over around 1 PM. It took me 2-3 laps around the block to realize this place was tucked in an alleyway. It's a true hidden gem. I almost gave up when I couldn't find it and the map directions didn't make much sense. This location is a small shop with only a little bit of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. This is primarily the roasters location, so it's a great place to enjoy the freshest of coffee but also a great place to purchase beans. They had a very large selection of beans for purchase. They still offer a decent menu and a few snacks, though much smaller than the other location. My wife enjoyed a matcha and I enjoyed one of the exclusive roastery blends on drip. Both drinks were very good. The quality of the drip coffee was superior. I want to visit again and try a coffee flight. That's something I've always wanted to do. Overall, friendly staff, delicious coffee, and even though it's hard to find, this hidden gem is well worth the stop. Cheers!

I genuinely appreciate the responsiveness, accountability, and willingness to make things right. While the experiences outlined below were still disappointing, the way this was handled afterward does leave me open to giving Rising another chance in the future. *** It genuinely pains me to leave a poor review for Rising for People Coffee because I deeply appreciate their ethos and what they are trying to build. Their commitment to sustainability, organic ingredients, fair trade practices, local sourcing initiatives, philanthropy, and community engagement is admirable, and I fully understand and accept the higher price point that comes with those standards. What I take issue with is the gradual decline in service quality over our visits. Our first couple of visits were genuinely great. The drinks and food were enjoyable, the menu felt creative and thoughtful, and the overall experience was positive. As the café became busier, we shifted toward placing pickup orders on weekends rather than dining in. Our first pickup order in February went smoothly overall. We ordered the Secret Cove latte, Blueberry Lemon Waffles, Breakfast Hummus Toast, and a Pistachio Mini Loaf, and everything was enjoyable. Our April 4th pickup order was the first disappointing experience, although I appreciated the way the staff attempted to handle it. We had ordered one of their featured pairings, the Strawberry Shortcake Matcha with the Strawberry Shortcake Mini Loaf. When we arrived, we were informed that the loaf was out of stock. They substituted a comparable loaf and added two small cookies for the inconvenience, which I genuinely appreciated and thought was handled professionally. Our April 9th order was back to being a positive experience overall and is important context because we had successfully ordered the Golden Fig & Honey Mascarpone French Toast before, so we know what the dish is supposed to look like when prepared correctly. The May 3rd pickup order was more frustrating. We arrived only to be told that the Apricot + Sage Chai pairing we ordered was unavailable after the order had already been placed. I had to quickly choose a replacement drink on the spot, and we then had to wait for it to be made despite ordering ahead. When we got home, our Banana Nut Waffles were also missing the whipped cream. Unfortunately, our May 9th pickup order was where everything finally unraveled. We still had to wait after arriving while the rest of the order sat. By the time we got home, the Jewel of the Garden Pomelo Salad was soggy and the mascarpone on the French toast had melted from sitting too long. The biggest disappointment, however, was the Golden Fig & Honey Mascarpone French Toast itself. The menu describes: "Thick-cut Japanese milk bread, oven-baked and layered with whipped mascarpone, topped with fresh figs, pistachio crumble, and a warm honey drizzle. Finished with delicate seasonal florals." What we actually received was burnt slices of French toast with partially melted mascarpone and several toppings completely missing. Since we had ordered this dish successfully before, we knew immediately that this was not representative of how it is normally served. I was at least looking forward to finally trying the Apricot + Sage Chai pairing we had missed previously, but unfortunately the chai was barely lukewarm and overwhelmingly sweet despite being ordered half sweet with almond milk. We attempted to call afterward and received no answer, and the voicemail box was full. I am genuinely happy that Rising has become so popular and busy because Reno benefits from businesses with strong values and thoughtful sourcing standards. At these price points, customers should reasonably expect accurate orders, reliable online ordering, and food that resembles the menu description. Across these visits, our pickup orders ranged from approximately $36 to over $70 before tips, so these are not inexpensive experiences. *** I really wanted to continue supporting this business, and I do appreciate the accountability and responsiveness shown after this review was posted. I trust that they will be able to regain the consistency that made us excited to support them in the first place.

It would not be out of place in a three-Michelin-star dining room. He roasts every batch himself over a wood fire, feeding a beautiful old roaster with logs he chops by hand. His espresso blends are composed with a level of precision that feels almost synesthetic. Ask him what he is aiming for and he will describe the roast in shapes: how wide the base should be, whether it tapers or flares, how many sides the finished polygon has. I have stood there listening, fascinated, with no real idea what he is talking about, then tasted the cup and understood anyway. Important to know: this is not a coffee shop. There is no barista counter. It is a modest storefront and warehouse, and if you stop by you will likely see Tim at the roaster, stoking the fire. The aroma is arresting from the street. That wood fire imparts a signature note that sets his coffee apart. It does not turn smoky in the jerky sense. It reads as a gentle campfire thread running through the cup, adding warmth and dimension without heaviness. Since moving away from Reno I miss these beans enough that I cave and pay the shipping. If you order Priority Mail, the bags arrive right in the early sweet spot of their drinkability window, perfect for dialing in extraction.
