Easy peasy. It's pre-paid and you'll save time vs waiting in line. And these days, you won't be lingering inside and risking anything surrounded by people eating and drinking sans masks. I had a terrible experience here. I ordered and waited ten minutes while they filled orders for people who weren't even there. I asked how long before my order would be ready and the barista said she was 20 minutes behind and couldn't prioritize the orders of those of us waiting. Another employee came over and asked the barista if she needed help and she said no. Why would she turn down help when she said she was far behind. Meanwhile 3 other employees were just standing around. I said I can't wait another 20 minutes (after already waiting 10 mins) and they said they'd give me a refund but instead of refunding me they charged me twice. Coffee decently consistent at his pretty busy starbucks, but their "splash of cream is enough to cool an entire coffee. Wish there was a standard. Some Staff very friendly while Some staff don't acknowledge basic social norm such as when customer picks up coffee and says "thank you." (Twice) or when Generous tips not acknowledged. Place: This is place is probably my go to place to study. It is really spacious and kind of place to get out of campus and university life. I like how isolated it is and everyone is studying (most of the times) Service: The service is good and they are really nice if you want a refill when studying long hours for exams/projects. My big splurge in my budget is Starbucks, and I have done this consistently five days a week for years. This particular Starbucks can never get my drink right, I order straight off the menu with nothing special added or subtracted. Yet they either burn the drink or they make it taste just like milk and there is no coffee in it. They need to train their people and standardize how to make this coffee like they do at all the other stores. I've had to send it back numerous times and when I do they get very defensive. The space is rather small and it gets packed pretty quickly; and in the winter it's quite cold and drafty. However: I got my drinks and refills in an adequate amount of time, the lines weren't awful, outlets were by each table (always hard to find those!) and the WiFi was consistently good. I tried the drive through for the very first time today. Early this morning shortly after the rush hour. I've avoided the drive through up to now because there's usually a long long long....line of cars backed up to Plymouth waiting to access their cup of morning magic. But on this day off from work and with a more leisurely spirit ahead, I decided to give it a try. A young friendly voice greeted me at the menu board and walked me through various options. I was in search of a powerful potion to get me started but needed to avoid my old favorite, latte which sometimes disagrees with my tummy (dairy intolerance). The spirited young voice suggested soy or almond milk as alternative to regular milk. Also in response to my question about which drinks packs the most potency, she suggested that I might try an added shot in the drink of my choice. A young African American woman (teen?) greeted me at the window and efficiently closed out my transaction. I left a satisfied customer having received a delicious drink and superb service. Not much has changed since my last review. My drink was good and it's a bit tricky sometimes. But the same thing happened as at my previous visit. They lost my drink in the prep line since I was a walkin, and the drive thru drinks all bumped ahead until someone finally noticed me still waiting at the pick up counter. I needed to stay to for a while until I was picked up by my hosts who had an appointment to take care of and this was a convenient location for me to wait. And I am a super Starbucks customer and fan. I tried some treats I usually don't at home. One worked out well, one not. The music was very loud which my home store keeps more quiet. Extremely rude staff, which is unusual for any Starbucks. I'll give them that it was busy, but the cashier seemed very put out by the fact that I was using a tax exempt card (I work for a hospital/university system). She insisted that she "couldn't" issue me our tax exemption. One bold and fairly pleasant worker took over the register and figured out the process and that I appreciate. This is one of my favorite SB locations. It's one of the newly styled Starbucks with the 'reclaimed urban wood' tables. The restrooms are private and well kept. The staff is really friendly and they joke around a lot with customers. There's a mix of students, freelancers, and suits that frequent this place. It's definitely popular amongst the young stylish Korean student set. It's not uncommon at night for a couple of students to bring in a board game and take over a couple of tables. If you're gonna put in a long work session, I recommend ordering your drink in a mug or glass. The foamy espresso drinks taste better, it's environmentally friendly and you save 10 cents. I'm not sure what trips people up about the drive-thru here, but if you value your car don't park near that traffic flow. There's plenty of free parking all around this complex so finding a spot anywhere else shouldn't be a hassle. It can get pretty busy here sometimes, but most of the regulars are really laid back and invite others to share table space. Student tips: 1) Save your receipt. Often times, SB offers extra savings on purchases after 2pm if you buy something in the morning. Also, if you review the location through their site online you can score a discount or a free drink. 2) Outlets are all around the cafe, which makes it very student friendly. 3)There's a lot of natural lighting and the tables around the nook near the back door are really great if you're looking for a quiet sunny spot to work. 4) The water in the cafe is triple filtered. So don't buy the expensive bottled stuff. Just ask for a trenta water or bring your own container and ask if they'll fill it up. 5) Tip your barista. They customize orders for you, remind you about ongoing specials, and hook you up with free samples. 6) If you're in a study group, share a French press coffee. I'm glad to see Starbucks open up on this side of the town... they have the market cornered south of fuller road and downtown... and on the plus side, they have drive thru. The drive-thru is little challenging though, but hey, i'm glad they have it. The parking lot can get full with all the other establishments in the mall. Wood walls and tables give this a warmer feel than most SBs. The place stays quite busy owing to its proximity to the University as well as some corporate offices. This makes it a little hard to find a seat sometimes, and, on some days finding one near a plug in seems about as likely as hitting the lottery. This is overdue, but I recently moved to California and I miss this barista so I decided to leave a Yelp review from afar. While I lived in Ann Arbor, I would frequent this location's drive-thru, and I was frequently served by the same barista at the drive-thru window. They always complimented my eyes or my earrings or tattoos or something and would always ask about my day/week/weekend in a way that felt actually genuine and kind, like they actually cared about and listened to my response. I can't remember the exact timeline of when I would see this barista but it was at least during summer '23, often midday or early evening I think. I think they had dark (brown?) longer hair. They always seemed so enthusiastic and kind. My excitement for going to this starbucks was 70% about my (almost always correctly made!) coffee and 30% about a nice interaction with this person. And bonus points that it's right next to speedway so I can get coffee and gas in one stop. Hopefully my vague description is enough so that this person knows they always made my day and that I still think about it all the way in California! read more

I pretty much stop by this location every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning on my way to my internship at the Rachel Upjohn Building. I only started my internship this January yet the morning staff already knows​ my name and my usual venti soy matcha latte order! I measure by three different things in comparison to Taco Bell: DECOR: This Starbucks looks like any other Starbucks. So I don't think it's fair to really talk about the decor. I will talk about the music, which is really good. I have heard Tom Tom Club, Paul Simon, and more. They put good music on and that's important in a coffee place. For the Decor I will give 1 star. SERVICE: The service goes back and forth according to who is working. Most of the time I am pretty happy about it. I am a regular there so they are really friendly towards me. I have never had a problem with a wrong order or waiting a long time, which is nice. For the service, I will give 2 stars. FOOD: I mostly drink the coffee here, for the most part I don't like Starbucks' food, but I know that's not really their fault. The coffee is most of the time good. Oddly enough, some baristas make it better than others, but that's okay. I guess the same could be said about a Taco Bell taco. Sometimes you'll get slop ground beef in a taco, sometimes you'll get the most beautiful gourmet taco with nicely decorated lettuce and cheese. Life is a box of chocolates, right? For the food 1 star. FINAL VERDICT: Is Taco Bell better? Depends. Look if you want good food, go to Taco Bell. If you want good coffee, don't go to Taco Bell. Starbucks is a coffee company, not food. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because of the lovely girl who works here. Without her they'd get one. I ordered via drive through and left with a drink I thought was mine. It was completely and utterly wrong. I have food allergies, so this is a big deal. I called and talked to someone and he assured me that I could come back in and they'd remake my drink, no problem. I choose to walk into the store and explained what had happened and asked for my drink to be remade. The five other employees didn't seem to understand why I was upset (soy is an allergen) and I felt very dismissed. All I wanted was the beverage I had paid for. Finally, the lone female working realized I was frustrated and made my drink, verifying how I wanted it. I'd like to say I'll go here again, but I probably won't. Soooooo this starbucks gets a 3.5 stars. My reasoning is: 4 stars for being a great place to study. I've been here at night and there are always tables to sit and do work. Tons of outlets. 3 stars for the coffees, teas, and drinks. I've definitely had better starbucks drinks. I've been here a couple time and both time, the drinks for some reason tasted bland or not as creamy as starbucks I have had at other locations. I had the chai latte and the green tea soy latte. Both of which just didn't taste the same as how other places made it. They warmed up the milk but the steamer was used to make the milk just hot and not foamy. There is a drive thru and seating outdoors. Tons of parking in the parking lot although the spaces are tight! Overall it is a great location to study or have a meeting/chat with friends and family. But if you enjoy really good coffee drinks, i wouldn't bank on this location to fulfill your craving. read more

Finally! A Starbucks I can study in on North Campus! Much easier to park than the central campus locations. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I just wish they had more seating available inside but they're limited by the small space. They have an outdoor patio that looks like it will be popular this summer. Within the past 2 weeks alone I've had less than stellar service at this location which is really unfortunate as it's the closest Starbucks to both my house and work. Last weekend, I stopped in around 8:30am on a Saturday and ordered two drinks; spiced sweet cream cold brew and a decaf coffee with caramel syrup and steamed 2%. The cashier could not remember the two drinks I said, and I had to repeat numerous times and put emphasis on each so they'd be remembered correctly. Once I finally paid, I waited an abnormal amount of time for both drinks. One of the baristas comes up to me saying they don't have cold brew that morning and asked what else I would like. Really, your cashier didn't know that wasn't available? On top of that, I still had to pay for the cold brew and not what the cost of an iced coffee would be. So, I ordered a mediocre iced coffee with peppermint syrup and almond milk. In total, I probably waited around 10 minutes or more for 2 drinks. This morning was also bad. I stopped in before work to grab a spiced cold brew (crossed fingers they had it), dark chocolate and caramelized banana oatmeal and a cranberry bar to snack on later. They were timely in giving me the cold brew and cranberry bar but I waited....and waited...and waited for the oatmeal. The man that was my cashier delivered food items to other customers but seemingly didn't notice me standing around for 10 min and never asked me what I was waiting for. I had to flag down a barista to tell her I'm still waiting on the oatmeal. She goes "OH!" and another barista told her she already made an oatmeal and that someone else probably grabbed it. Really? Because I've been standing here the whole time and I saw zero oatmeal. They make the oatmeal and give it to me. In the car I notice it's not the right oatmeal I ordered. Not wanting to wait around even longer I just left. These are only two of my negative experiences within the last few months. I would give 2 stars, but I guess their apologies work on me. read more
