This Starbucks is conveniently located across from multiple businesses in Midtown (my own office included), so when in need of a shot of caffeine and sugar, it's a good choice. While I don't recommend it if you want a place to sit down and have a coffee, as seating is incredibly limited, I do recommend it if you're getting something to go and near Colony Square. The staff inside is friendly and pretty quick (though if there are lines, you will end up waiting a few minutes - but the friendliness factor makes up for it), they offer the full menu of products, and the convenience factor makes up for a multitude of shortcomings. While I can't speak about people laying in wait to ambush and boot unsuspecting drivers since I park in a parking garage, I can confidently say I've never seen it happen during my forays over there. Maybe I've just been lucky enough not to witness it though. All in all, this Starbucks is cramped, yet convenient and friendly, so it's A-OK in my book. read more

This is a new Starbucks built into the bottom of a new condo building. It's one of their /R concepts. Very nice. Tons of beautiful walnut for bars, tables, baskets and shelves. Layout is nice with a long, lower bar that makes it feel more like a wine bar. Always busy, but never too long of a line it makes for good people watching inside and out. read more

Great environment if you're looking for a place to sit down and hang out with friends. During peak hours of the day, this location is extremely crowded and it may take a few minutes to find a table/couch (4 couches, 1 sofa, 6 short tables, 4 high tables, 1 long table that seats approximately 10). Parking is limited and parking enforcement "officers" circle around very frequently. The baristas are extremely friendly and patient when taking your order, but it's not uncommon for them to over steam the milk in lattes. Personally, I find the music to be too loud to maintain a decent conversation or concentrate if you're planning on working while you're caffeinated. If you're planning using their wifi, you're going to need to be really patient. When there are a lot of people on their network (about 95% of the time), the internet is painstakingly slow. On the bright side, there are plenty of outlets. I'm originally from Chicago, so bugs don't bother me that much, but for those that get antsy whenever you see one, I've seen two cockroaches at this location. I don't think it's outrageous to see cockroaches since it's an urban area, but beware. read more

Everyone is so friendly here. You're greeted multiple times with a smiling face. Service was super fast and I loved, loved, loved my Signature favorite Caramel Brûlée Frappuccino and warmed blueberry muffin. For all of my artsy folks, I must say this is the most aesthetically pleasing Starbucks I've visited. I captured some really terrific photos here. The vibe is really relaxed and the playlist was awesome, while I got a bit of work done. I didn't put my headphones on once lol My feet didn't miss a beat with my famous dance in your chair session. Their equipment is state of the art, so expect a cup of greatness lol The seating is super spacious... you can take a seat on the outdoor patio, sit at the bar stools and capture a great view of the coffee making process, like I did lol It's just something about the fresh coffee smell. You can also lounge on the couch-like seating with a view of Midtown, or seat yourself at the high tabletops. I love the new renovations made at this Starbucks location. The interior design is beautiful and modern. The warm color scheme consists of different shades of deep, dark brown and is very comforting. The air conditioning is a little chilly on the inside, so if you plan to stay long, I would bring a light jacket. There is shaded outdoor seating right outside the entrance. I sat outside when it got a little too cold for me inside. It is wonderful to sit outside and watch people go by. The outdoor seating is quieter, too. I find it easier to concentrate on reading, since there were many people chatting inside and the music is louder when inside. The service was very slow. It turned out that they forgot my order (or someone stole mine)! I wanted a coconut iced coffee drink, but they ran out of coconut milk. They more than made up for the mishap by letting me choose something else. To be honest, I felt angry at the baristas at first because I thought they were purposely ignoring my order. I was kind of glaring at them when they stopped making drinks and were just chatting with each other. They noticed me sitting and staring, but did not acknowledge me. I went to the counter and explained my situation. The lady was very kind and let me choose a different drink and made it a grande size and put whipped cream on top. I was very happy about that. That is why I am giving this location five stars. However, the male barista there seemed very snobby. It wasn't my fault they forgot to put my name on a cup. But his demeanor was somewhat cold and unwelcoming (probably because I was glaring earlier, but I really thought they were ignoring me and possibly being racist! Luckily it was a simple mistake). I don't know if it is asking for too much for neutral service at a bare minimum. I went back the next day, and that same barista was there. Same demeanor. I find that I am avoiding that location because of that guy. Maybe I'll go back when he forgets my face. This location is strange in that the baristas do not yell out names or orders. They just put the cup on the counter and then say the name of the drink using a normal volume. How are customers supposed to hear if their order is ready? Most customers are reading, chatting or otherwise not paying attention while waiting. read more

The only complaint I have about this specific location is that it is a little nosier than most Starbucks. This is one of the best cafes you can go to around the area now. Starbucks Reserve shows that even as a franchise, Starbucks cares enough about its customers to make quality coffee and a quality product. Simply put: PRO: - Fast Free Google provided WiFi - Quality coffee exclusive to Reserve stores (Called "Reserves" when referenced on the menu) - A coffee bar, showing that if permitting and not crowded, you can talk nerdy with the barista about coffee - Service. There are some SASSY Starbucks workers in the "normal" starbucks. There is none of that here. You know what you're here for CON: - Parking. Parking. Parking. There are very few spots dedicated to the Starbucks, and at roughly $2 an hour, moving up the deck isn't any better. If you are willing to take the walk, you can drive further down 7th street and hope to get some street parking in the neighborhood area - Crowd. I guess someone let the word out that the Starbucks Reserve is the place to be? Because on a Sunday morning, finding a spot is near impossible. You're just gonna hope that someone who is just waiting for their to-go order is going to get out out of their chair soon. But I guess that's a good thing for business Some of the best things in life come at a price, but rather than inflating themselves, Starbucks Reserve does a service to the world of coffee by bringing their best, while being committed to being a direct competitor to specialty coffee shops in the area. This Starbucks is in a great location, has a great space and is well decorated. It's the nicest Reserve store I've been too and I like that they don't have the typical Sbux menu boards. It seems to be more about the coffee. However, the space is waay too congested. They've put too many tables and merchandising displays, it's a bit awkward to get around, especially since it stays so busy all the time. I've been to this location many times and this experience reflects pretty much every visit I've ever had at this place: The barista that took my order didn't greet me, he just kinda stared at me. He was soft spoken which is not great as the acoustics in this space are terrible. He needed some energy. The baristas making the drinks were busy (but don't really seem to know how to handle busy times) and one lady made my drink, then just laid it on the counter for it to sit while she went off to the Reserve section to make more drinks. I was getting a bit antsy as other people after me were getting their drinks and mine was just sitting there. The other barista took my drink and questioned whether the salt had been added (Salted cream cold foam cold brew). The initial barista said she wasn't sure and he was about to add more, I told him I would just take it since i'd been waiting for-ever. She didn't end up adding the salt (not sure how you could forget that and it's one of the easiest drinks to make) and I wanted extra cream but they gave me extra foam instead (low energy barista's fault). I said something to the low energy barista when my friend ordered, he didn't offer me anything. read more

This is my local Starbucks and I have to preface this review by saying that I am a big fan of Starbucks. They were the first to perfect the comfortable atmosphere and make it into a corporate giant. I admire they are able to do that, and I am a fan of their coffee as it is stronger than other franchise coffee. I would typically give most Starbucks I visit(with the exception of NYC Starbucks) 5 stars. I gave this one a 3.5(rounded up) due to the service. The staff isn't outright rude, but they are not as friendly as most others. Maybe it is because I am not a "regular" but it threw me off a couple of times. The coffee is consistent and if I want a change from my Keurig Caribou Coffee, I will go here. This location also gets points for a nice, small outdoor area. read more

One of my favorite things about living in Atlanta was having a Starbucks Reserve right at my doorstep. This is more than your usual Starbucks and has coffee tasting and brewing workshops, along with unique blends of coffee from exotic regions around the globe. They have special ways of making coffee as well. That being said, I have had nothing but bad experiences when it comes to the service, especially so when I used to be in a rush to get that cup of coffee. I usually got the standard dark roast in the grande size, with no frills. I would have assumed that fixing a straight cup of basic coffee would be simple and quick. I couldn't have been more wrong. I have waited as long as 15 minutes for the simplest of orders at this location. They also messed up my orders if they were a little more complex on several occasions. The barristas have an extra chip on their shoulder as well since they think they are artists of sort (perhaps move to Paris and open up a shop next to the Louvre so that you can showcase your 'art' better) Additionally a lot of the power plugs inside do not work. The bathrooms are also gross. Don't get me wrong, I do like having the option of drinking those fancy teas from countries whose names I cannot pronounce, but if my daily pre-work coffee takes 15 mins I am going to go to the other Starbucks down the street that does not have the same crowds. read more

Just the employees are already a reason to choose this Starbucks over other locations! I don't understand why there are no reviews written on this yet, especially since it's well visited all day every day. I shall change this: The coffees/pastries are the typical Starbuck things you would expect. There isn't really much to say about the drinks and food since Starbucks is obviously a huge chain store, and I imagine it to be difficult to mess up much with this. So I will concentrate on the little things that make this location so special and lovable. The staff is outgoing, positive, polite and well trained! No matter what time of the day I come in I am always greeted by a smile. Even if it's during the busy hours of the day they will joke around and make sure to serve me properly. The set up of this place is very relaxing. I recommend early mornings, or late nights! When you sit on the couch, with your favorite latte or mocha or whatever it is you please you will find yourself gazing out the large window wall for hours, just watching people pass Peachtree street. if you like people watching this is your perfect go to place! I recently had a HORRIBLE experience at this Starbucks location. I got an (expensive!) coffee drink and worked on my laptop for about an hour before my boyfriend called to see if I could meet him for a quick dinner about a block away. I walked down to meet him for about a half hour. When I got back to Starbucks, they already had a private parking service put a BOOT on my car! I told them there must be a mistake, that I was a customer who just left briefly to grab dinner. Nope--the parking attendant said that if I left the premises at all--to grab food, run to the bank, stretch my legs--they had the right to boot my car and charge me SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS to remove it. It was a nightmare. As a student, I can barely afford Starbucks prices, much less a $75 ticket for leaving the property for a half hour. Here's the part that is even creepier. I parked in the back of the store, worked inside for an hour, and then left out the front door to take my dinner break. They had the parking attendant (who was not clearly identified) WATCHING and MONITORING the customers. He wasn't just looking to see if anyone parked and immediately left--he knew which car I drove and booted it five minutes after I walked away. The attendant COULD have stopped me when he saw me leaving and warned me that if I left, my car would be booted. Of course he didn't do that, though--I'm sure he and Starbucks both made money from booting my car. I understand Starbucks' desire to keep non-customers from using their parking spots, but this policy is completely unreasonable. The attendant wouldn't even listen to me; he just kept saying that I walked away and he already had the boot in the system. While I've always been a fan of Starbucks, after this experience, I am no longer going to be a customer. I see other people have had this experience. I hope Starbucks realizes that by losing our business, they really aren't doing themselves any favors with this insane parking system. read more

Never eat there, the food is just not good and also over priced (ok espresso brownie not included in that statement). It's easy to pick on the big players in American culture (Walmart, GE, Dell, McDonald's) but they are all big targets. Let's take away all discussion about service, location, store cleanliness, and corporate culure/responsibility (all areas where Starbucks gets A+ ratings). Instead let's focus on the main product this giant purveys: Coffee. I once read an article by a coffee expert whose name escapes me, but his comments have remained in my mind ever since. He calls Starbucks "Charbucks" as generally speaking most of their coffee is over roasted to the point of actually charring or burning the coffee. And it is his reasoning that Starbucks consumers have then got into the habbit of diluting their coffee with milk, sweeteners, and caramel, and everything else under the sun. An interesting fact is that Starbucks actually sells as much milk as it does coffee. If the coffee tasted better on its own, then less add ins would be needed to make the drinks more desirable. An interesting theory I think. Although Its too late now, as Americans are now hooked on Starbucks. I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I look from the outside in when it comes to Starbucks, Caribou and the like. I just wanted to give you my two cents. read more

They were quick and efficient however to have such an extensive selection of coffee the don't have natural sweeteners such agave or stevia. Caramel Apple Cider w/Captain Morgans Spiced Rum=HEAVEN!! I'd never actually dropped into this particular location before, but it was pretty much what I expected. Lot's of us 'uber cool' Mac user's bangin away at the keyboards, while others posted up in the large windows to watch passers by on the street. All the barista's were engaing, and friendly. After I shared my plans to spike my cider with spiced rum, their faces lit up, one even told me a combination to try on another day. A friend and I actually met here, and sat out on the patio with our 'hard ciders', It was a bit chilly, but nothing a lil' Captain couldn't handle. read more

The people are generally nice. It is a very comfortable Starbucks with cushioned chairs and couches. They also have a few bar tables and one large table. What I love about this Starbucks is the crazy amount of outlets running along the walls and along the booth. Only thing is the cushions on the chairs are a little worn.
