Buckies, my name for Starbucks generally has overly roasted beans with a semi burnt flavor to my taste. But considering I do like my coffee strong, where a utensil could stand up by itself in my cup and the options here are few and far between, it works. If I need to get an extra charge of caffeine during the day, or as a replacement for a morning Joe, I get a triple shot (I've done a quad) with a dollop of froth. It used to be $1.25 for the 1st shot and .50 each additional, so it is a reasonable option. I dont do much with the lattes, generally because they cost a lot-tay. I do feel as though if aliens were to come down to earth, their easiest point of entrance into our society is to become a Buckie's employee. They are all over the place! read more

The owners of this establishment need to treat their employees better. They always look stressed and they always seem under staffed. The place could use a good cleaning. Entry way glass doors are filthy and tables need to be wiped down more often. I find the help to be so friendly! There was a young lady in the drive thru that was so friendly and courteous. I can't remember her name, but I remembered her beautiful, long red hair. I recently came in after Christmas and the employees looked so overwhelmed. If you staff the coffee shop properly, service wouldn't take so long. There should always be people you can count on for coverage when employees call out sick. And no, I'm not an employee, I've just worked in the food business for a long time. read more

I normally go to the othe r Starbucks at either theTarget store or Kroger. I was in the area and decided to stop at a local Starbucks. The place was neat and clean I ordered my drink the barista was courteous. I tried to use my Samsung pay ap there but the card machine wasn't like the others that I'm accustomed to; I was gonna stay and sit at one of the tables but the little lights they had installed in the ceiling were so bright; like spotlights, so that wasn't gonna work for me, I asked the barista if there was a way they could dim/turn down the lights a bit; her reply was there's only two ways off or on. Bummer it was quiet on Sunday evening but I couldn't sit in there like that so I won't be going back there anytime soon. read more

I believe this Starbucks has gotten worse since my last review a year ago. The mobile ordering system is often down, but you don't know that until you get to the store, wait at the pick-up counter for 15 minutes and then have to ask where your drink is. One time they told me my drink order was probably forwarded to another store in the next town over (20 minutes away). They are constantly out of items: skinny mocha, muffins and even ice! Today I placed a mobile order. I waited approximately 15 minutes before I asked about my drink - even though it wasn't crowded and the staff saw me standing there, not one of them addressed me. The sticker for my order (the one they place on your cup) was stuck on the espresso machine - the barista put it there because they were out of the skinny mocha sauce. So, you know you have an outstanding drink order and you see someone waiting for a while, you would hope the staff couple put the two together. The store is never very clean and they continually rearrange it to make it flow better - which it never does. I'm done Starbucks - I've been a Rewards Member with a Gold Card since 2011...but now I'm done. read more

I love Starbucks, but this is one of the worst I've been to. They are always out of cold brew, rarely are able to make my order correctly and are very slow. My last visit I went in to have them fix my drink and they complained about me while I was standing there. read more

I go to Starbucks 6x out of the week. I always get the SAME thing. Every time I come to this Starbucks, it always taste different & I have to have it remade or more stuff added into it. It's super annoying. Well today, I gave it another try because there was no cars in the drive through & didn't feel like getting out of my car. Well while waiting at the window, the ladies inside were whispering to one another & laughing out loud like high schoolers. Then I get my drink & it taste like garbage. it taste like they use water instead of whole milk. Nothing like what I always get. I probably wouldn't care if I wasn't spending $6 on coffee. Would not recommend this Starbucks location to anyone. Maybe if the workers stopped goofing off & pay attention to the orders, customers would leave happy & this location would have better reviews. read more

Bar far the slowest drive in for a Starbucks ever. You're better off parking and going inside. Coffee is ok.

This Starbucks doesn't seem to live up to the normal standards. Worst Hazelnut coffee ever....and cold.

Worst client service. Sadly is the only Starbucks close by. Couple of times have order a mobile phone order 11 to 13 minutes prior arrival. When I come to pick up the order they are joking around and not paying attention to the orders, sadly I have to wait until they finish joking for me to have my order started. Last time total wait time 23 minutes and no cars at the driving through and only one client inside the store. read more

Great people working there! Always friendly and making sure your drink is perfectly made the way you like it/ordered it. The drive through is sometime slow but it isn't because they are not working. When i go around 2pm it's always packed with people. If your in a hurry it's better to parks and go in then go through drive thru. read more

I prefer independent coffee shops but Bluffton is sadly lacking anything but this awful Starbucks. The baristas are rude and, if your order is not to your liking, will make snide comments such as "seriously?" and "people get on my nerves sometimes ". If you have to go to a Starbucks try the one at the Kroger's instead. Avoid this one like the plague. Their plaque says if you aren't satisfied to bring your drink back and they will make a new one. With the outrageous prices of Starbucks, the very least they can offer is good customer service....yet another reason I don't go to Starbucks unless there is absolutely nothing else. read more

Slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. Management needs to take a look at this store. I have been to city properties that have 50 people in line and it is still faster then this Starbucks. And forget going through the drive through, double the wait time. Please corporate come look at this Starbucks and make some changes. read more

This one will be short: Service was super slow! Ordered a vanilla iced latee for my co-worker and a cold brewed ice coffee for me and a sandwich. It took so long to get everything. I don't understand why these places cant employee more than two people to work the morning rush! I'll pass. read more

Consistently great service. Yes, they can be slow at times, but they are also the only store with a drive-thru in the area and usually always have a line of people no matter what time in the day it is. They're organized appropriately to get the job done, always with a smile. I've never once had a problem with this Starbucks, and even if they make a small mistake they are all quick to apologize and better the situation. After reading the reviews for this Starbucks, I will say that I feel as though they are underappreciated, especially since it's not easy to be a barista. I work at a different coffee shop, but on my days off I go here to do homework and they're always so sweet. read more

Upon arrival, the building didn't seem that bad. It is tucked away off the main road, so just look for the Target logo and turn there. Inside, the place was absolutely disgusting. There probably were an easy 100 fruit flies everywhere. The walls, ceiling, even in the glass showcase where cookies and whatnot are kept. The women working there had no care about personal appearance. Most had on wool beanies, or greasy hair. The coffee? Meh.... They put whipped cream on my drink (which I explicitly said not to).... The worst place now. I have been going there for years. It has gone down hill in the last year and half. They seen to be out of something like green tea, lids of coffee cups, or not opening on time. I was told today by a laughing employee sorry someone didn't show up we don't have anything set up it will be another 15 mins... This was after I waited 15 mins. Supposed to be open at 5:30 and didn't open until 6:20. I understand someone not showing up, but the 2 Paola who were there were just standing around that entire time!! This is consistently the worst/slowest Starbucks in the area. I drive for work and go to a lot of them, and just can't figure out why this location struggles to function well. No one is nasty or rude, the drink quality is ok, but the waits are ridiculous. You could seriously save yourself time by driving to the north end of Hilton Head, get your order, and be finished and back here, all before receiving your order at this store! It's been functioning this way for years. Maybe another stand alone Starbucks with a drive thru in bluffton would amp up their game? read more
