The property has a drive-thru lane and drive-thru windows, which naturally led me to assume there was drive-thru service available. After circling the building, I realizing it wasn't operational, not a major issue, but clearer signage would help eliminate confusion for first-time visitors. Once inside, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which is exactly what I've come to expect from Island Bagel. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the standard I've experienced at their other locations. I ordered the Lowcountry Breakfast Sandwich. The bagel was under-toasted, and the eggs were overcooked. While "stale" may not be the perfect word, the eggs gave the impression that they had been sitting for a while rather than being freshly prepared. The fresh, made-to-order quality I've come to associate with Island Bagel simply wasn't there during this visit. I'm hopeful this experience was an exception rather than the norm. Based on my past experiences with the company, I know they're capable of delivering much better. While this particular visit fell short of my expectations, I would still encourage people to give Island Bagel a try, whether at this location or one of their others. My hope is that this was simply an off day and that future visits better reflect the quality I've come to expect from the brand.
