I was waiting for an oil change and thought I'd swing in. This location has plenty of room to move around in. Its nice and tidy (yes I checked for dust on the shelves). A young man named Micha was training and was very helpfull. He asked if I needed extra Carmel or if I wanted my wrap for here or to go. When my order was ready he brought it to me. My reasoning for such a low rating is not because of the baristas, but because of the store manager, Serafin. I overheard the way he spoke to one of the baristas and it was disgustingly rude, backhanded, and condescending. I could never tolerate working under a manager with such an insufferable attitude. Got ripped off on a dark roast. I went into this store and I specifically asked if they had dark roast brewed which they said yes. I paid for the drink, and then they proceeded to pour me a medium roast. I told them "you said you had dark roast brewed" and they said" well this is our dark roast right now. Well, hello.... a medium roast is not a dark roast. You would think a coffee place would get that, but apparently they don't. they want to pass off medium roast as a dark roast. makes you wonder how many people they lie to on a daily basis. Ok, I'm all for Starbucks and the new rules but when I walk into a Starbucks to use the bathroom and the person working goes out of their way to tell me "these are for customers only" that is absolutely unacceptable when I am a customer of Starbucks and god forbid the location was 100% empty and I'm the only customer and had to use the bathroom since I was just stuck in traffic after I just witnessed someone die in a motorcycle accident. I'm disgusted by this being a long time customer and daily supporter of Starbucks. Maybe you should have people scan their loyalty points to use the bathroom with these policies. I have gone to this Starbucks for years but recently moved and have not been in for a few months. It is a Saturday. There is only one couple ditting in the lobby. I walked up to the counter and got an absent greeting saying, " hi we'll be with you in a moment. ". I waited as other employees walked by me and nobody acknowledged me or took my order. Out of all the Starbucks in the valley this location off of Carefree hwy has the worst customer service. Mani the barista has constantly harassed me to bring my own personal cup to refill my drink. Here is what he had said " Why don't you bring your own water bottle instead or wasting our cups" in an angry tone. In my opinion very unsanitary for them to be touching outside items. Pretty small location and easy access off cave creek highway. We'd been hiking for hours and wanted a small pick me up. I ordered a tea while my son ordered a frappe and also a water. It was fairly busy when we came in, but were greeted quickly and paid for our drinks. Mine was made pretty quick, but no name announced and it was kinda thrown towards us with no eye contact ‍. I waited for a bit to make sure it was mine...then waited, waited, waited and waited through about 10 drinks for my sons. Again no name or eye contact so we picked them up and left. This is new location. The one two blocks down has closed. It's much better location in my opinion; easy in and out. They have nice patio seating and inside is very spacious. Everything you expect from Starbucks in terms of food and drinks. However, I had to dock a star because they were busy today but they only had one barista and one cashier. Ordering ahead on the app didn't help me today in having my order ready on arrival. They also have drive-thru which made the process lot slower. Other than that, it was clean and inviting location. I've tried their home style chicken & double-smoked bacon sandwich for quick lunch today. It didn't look very appetizing but it tasted really good. read more

sometimes the drive thru can be a little chaotic for those using it but i've always had a pleasant experience getting a drink and working here. everyone in the morning during the week is always getting along & efficient. i cant speak for any other time or day. also the bathroom is always clean when i go in it which is super important. read more

The Hours listed are wrong as usual ...i showed up about 6:20 to umbrellas down and all the star employees lazily annoyed by the presence of my patronage despite being an occasional customer, as their plot of falsely portraying a closed Starbucks started to unravel. The case that is usually filed with delightful treats had already been emptied in what appeared to be wreckless abandon ... when confronted and questioned about the whereabouts of the pastries Codi had the audacity to lie stating that "everything is gone" only to be corrected by a remorseful employee whose conscience gave in to the cruelty of the facade and admitted to having blueberry scones and banana bread. As Codi descended sheepishly into the back room to hide from the shame of being exposed by his lies, the show continued. An elderly employee emerged from the back room with a mop bucket and began mopping the floor in what felt like an attempt to induce a sense of guilt for the inconvenience of my presence so close to the end of everybody's shift. After placing my order, i absconded back to my vehicle for safety having uncovered the web of deception that keeps patrons away in the final hours of business at Starbucks. read more

I've been going to this location consistently for the past several years and I can see that there's a huge noticeable difference whenever the manager is not working. Avoid the drive-through at all costs. If the manager isn't working, you can expect to wait up to 20 minutes regularly. One time I was in the drive-through for so long I had to call and ask what was going on and they simply stated that they had spilled a drink when I got to the window It was clear that there was no rush with the team and there wasn't anyone in the lobby, still it took 20+ minutes to get through the drive-through. It's definitely worth driving to a different location to get the same quality a drink at a quarter of the time. read more

I stop by this location Friday mornings after Yoga at Yoga Breeze (check them out!). My typical order is an Iced Tea and a Protein Box. Gotta eat healthy after the Flow class with Rachel and usually starving by then. Compared to other Starbucks locations I find this one to be clean, with great service and they always get my order right. Although an unsweetened Iced Tea is pretty easy to make. read more

the best morning crew! i am there at 5:30am- 5 out of 7 days typically... every single person is always happy and cheerful! they have my order ready (mobile order) they even have my side of heavy cream & water ready to go. i never have to ask... that's something you cannot note on the mobile order app & they all simply remember that little detail and have it ready. just shows they care about their customers! jess is the sweetest and i always feel im having a quick morning chat with a friend. even when they are busy they still take a moment to say hello and wish me a great day. there are 3 other starbucks drive thrus on my way to work and i choose this because of the employees! ive never had an issue with an order but i know if there was theyd take care of it without hesitation. the best! 10/10 read more

One time there was a llama on the patio, that was pretty cool. Other than that, this place is pretty inconsistent. Typical Starbucks. Nice small patio where you get a lot of road noise from Carefree highway, but not too much to sit and relax. The old problem here, and the reason for dropping a star, Is the flies. There are always tons of flies inside. They mostly congregate on the windows, but I also see them on the tables and in the prep area. Ive seen an exterminator here try to catch them one at a time on fly paper, but the problem has persisted as long as this location has been open. Its bad enough to stop is from ordering any food that isn't sealed. Hopefully they get it worked out because the location is great for us and the staff is excellent. read more

This location is beautiful and the fact that it's the only drive-through Starbucks in the area makes it so convenient! The problem I have is the inconsistency of the drinks. For a company that has pretty extensive training on how to make drinks you would think the drinks would consistently taste the same every single time but at this location they never managed to get it right. Maybe one out of ten times do I get a drink that taste like it should. So now I just basically use this location to redeem my free drinks on the app other than that I would recommend going down the street to Safeway Starbucks because their drinks taste amazing every single time. read more

Absolutely the worst managed Starbucks I've ever been to. Been here a half dozen times and every single time they either couldn't make my drink or food because they didn't have something. Shame on me, not them because I have gone back so many times. Just left there, asked for an iced coffee with NO ice. Got the coffee with ice. Asked them to take the ice out and the woman went on to tell me iced coffee cannot be made without ice. Hahahaha. Told me there is ice in the jug that's why there was ice in my coffee.
