Another amazing favorite: please order the Aztec Mocha Macchiato. (I order a large Aztec mocha macchiato latte with oat milk, light mocha). When a friend suggested Carefree Coffee Roastery for a meeting spot on a recent Saturday morning, I looked it up and saw a lot of positive reviews. I was psyched to try it and it did not disappoint! Our party of six arrived a bit after 8:30am and placed our orders and then sat down on one of the outside picnic tables... We enjoyed our drinks (a flat white with oat milk for me) and eats (quiche of the day for me) and did some chatting. We also did a little art project and no one seemed to mind... So, I initially went to another coffee shop in the Spanish village thinking it was this one...I was so disappointed with that one that I took the 5 minute (no straight path) walk from there to here to frequent this one, and I'm so glad I did! It's one of a few spots in the area where the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming (atleast during my stay in Carefree). My oat milk Cortado was delicious, and although my lox bagel was not the best I've ever had, it satisfied my craving. Grabbing a dragon fruit smoothie for my walk back was my best idea yet. Not too sweet and flavorfully fruity, I've been craving another since I left Carefree! The knitted banisters, and cozy intimate space were definitely an inviting change, and although it faces the parking lot, the covered outdoor seating is a perfect alternative given the cooling weather. read more

Indoor seating is ok, but outdoor seating was really nice when the weather was temperate. Solid pastries. Matcha latte was fine, we ordered the blueberry matcha. Great Find Near the Resort - Definitely Going Back We found this place on Yelp while staying at a nearby resort and were looking for something with good organic options and matcha--and honestly, it did not disappoint. The egg burrito we got was delicious, and we also tried a banana-on-bread type of dish (I don't remember the exact name), but it was equally amazing. We grabbed some matchas too, and they were really good. For the price, the quality, and the solid selection of organic items, this spot is definitely worth going back to. But...I believe they served me a regular coffee, was buzzing in about 10 minutes. Also, the large cups are really cool but not conducive to keeping the coffee hot, as the coffee wasn't served hot to behind with. Quite disappointing considering 2 coffees were over $13.00. Lars and the entire staff are so kind, know just about everyone who walks through the door by name (and order!), and take pride in their high quality coffee and food. Matcha is delicious, too! They have gluten-free options and some of the best muffins you'll ever try. Carefree Coffee roasts their own coffee beans and uses ingredients from local shops. My husband's favorite thing to get is the "Jam Burrito," which is a unique breakfast burrito that you won't find anywhere else, and it is served with a fresh salsa. I try to get something new every time, but my recent favorites are the chicken salad, egg and cheese breakfast burrito, and their daily quiche. Stopped by for a quick breakfast. Ordered a flat white and a breakfast bagel w/ cheddar. Everything came out quickly and the flat white was spot on. I stopped getting flat whites at most coffee shops because they just give you a latte. A flat white is not the same and I can tell by the weight if it's made correctly. The breakfast sandwich was awesome. They used a couple of eggs and added plenty of cheddar. Great breakfast for a really fair price. The customer service was also excellent! read more

I cannot rave enough about our local Carefree Coffee. The location is very good with lots of parking available. The staff is exceptional with always being friendly, helpful and engaging. The ownership is equally as engaging. What I appreciate about Lars is not only is he caring of his customers but of his canine customers as well. He provides great treats but also individual doggie bowls. My golden loves coming here. I appreciate the attention to detail of Lars and staff not only to their customers but to their coffee and food selection as well. The taste and quality of the coffee is great.
