This is the post you wish you can give no stars. Worst experience this morning ordering an iced pistachio latte. Instead you get a Dubai Chocolate Latte. Then you stain your shirt just trying to fix your drink to your liking. The employee heard me when I told her what I wanted. Just ruined the day when it was simple request. That's the customer service job you are in. It's funny you can tell the ones that have been there forever who are unhappy versus the ones that love be their jobs and glad to be there. I won't be returning to this Starbucks. And do yourself a favor, the Target Starbucks is better. Or even the Birch drive thru Starbucks is worth heading over too. Was in the area today around noon and wanted to grab a coffee. I went to this location, and it was pretty empty so I was glad it wasn't too busy. However the customer lady in front of me was returning and exchanging a bunch of Starbucks cups and tumblers and the cashier looked confused as to how to return and exchange her items. I stood there only person in line for almost 10 minutes without anyone jumping on the other register to help me. So I decided to order my drink on the app and went to the pick up window instead. No one greeted me and no one was making me feel welcomed. My drink was ready finally. I asked for a straw and was ignored. I saw there were some on the counter behind this metal sign so I went to grab a short straw and the metal sign fell and hit the ground. All the baristas stared at me. One asked if I was okay, and I said I think so. It wasn't until I walked to the door that I realized I was not okay and that the metal sign had fell on the top of my right foot causing throbbing pain. I returned to the counter and said I'm not okay. One employee asked if I had a red mark, and I said no but my foot hurts really bad. No other employee did anything or checked in on me. I was already late to my meeting given being ignored as a customer, so I left. My foot hurts and I have a bruise and a bump there now. Also the iced coffee tasted very bitter and old. I have never experienced such poor customer service at a Starbucks and I've been to many across San Diego county. I am very shocked by the poor customer service on such a slow Wednesday afternoon and now I have to deal with my foot pain too! read more

Since WHEN people CAN'T get a free puppuccino without strictly making a purchase? I just did this a couple of days ago, same place; no issues. Since WHEN do these rules CHANGED? I would totally understand if with higher prices for everything, puppuccinos become also a source to get extra money to the already inflated prices--BUT PLEASE let your CUSTOMERS KNOW, even post a sign somewhere or by the entrance; INSTEAD of having someone telling you inside, when you are there with your puppy (I have a small dog) which I took inside with me--I BOUGHT a small cup of regular coffee, plain, no sugar; etc just so I could get my pup a puppuccino; TO HAVE THE YOUNG CASHIER TELL ME NOW THSY I NEEDED TO WAIT OUTSIDE for my coffee as my pup was no allowed to be inside. No problem, I took him outside, I have no problem following rules/etiquette; JUST MAKE THIS "NEW RULES" P U B L I C. I have been going to Starbucks for years, I have spent a lot of money buying all that Starbucks offer, I even collect cups from all over the world; and I've never heard of this. Now, if you go to the Starbucks page, it clearly states that puppuccinos are FREE, and "baristas are always happy to oblige". Has this changed? I typically do not review Starbucks because all the locations are pretty the same, where you get a hit or miss, depending on the day. For this location, this is my go to for mobile orders. Compared to the other locations, the mobile orders are right in front as soon as walk through the doors. Someone is always there to greet you to ask if you have a mobile order and they assist you right away. I agree with other Yelpers that parking is a challenge. Also, ordering inside is ALWAYS busy and you end waiting awhile. I recommend this Starbucks for the mobile service only because it is consistent and the orders are spot on. They do run out of flavors and food sometimes but that is to be expected compared to other Starbucks. read more

Below par Starbucks. Go here for the drinks but ready yourself for one of the worse customer experience you will encounter. 1) Lack of Supervision. I live in the area and go here only due to convenience. Every time I go here, I never see any supervision and routinely see rude service. Slow order completion is the norm. No compensation offers if they make you wait long or when they get your order incorrectly. 2) Atmosphere. On the small side, very difficult to enjoy the area. Not too conducive to hanging out. Go somewhere else if you want to hang out. 3). Parking is difficult. Located at a very busy plaza with lots of other restaurants. Be prepared to circle around while you wait for your unprepared order if you called ahead. One of the worst locations, I would go across the street to Vons or go to Target instead. read more

Shout out to Rob, Austin and Joaquin who were SUCH nice and accomodating baristas this past Saturday. I had a random request for a frozen banana to be picked up after I had dinner across the way. They didn't laugh at me...rather were just curious! "Hey, pregnancy gives you odd cravings" I said. When I came in an hour later to pick up my banana, they had served it on a plate with a fork along with a congratulations note! They were so sweet. A little love goes a LONG way! When they just opened this Starbucks, the workers were; cool, friendly, handsome, perfect bartista's. Everytime I walked in they made me feel like I knew them for years. It was a great time! The longer the SB was open workers started to change and the feeling of 'coming home' too. What is the strategy here? Start a Starbucks and open a can of perfect Bartista's and have them work for a while, and then switch them with people who care less about Coffee, Cosiness and Coming Home feelings? They use to have big comfortable tables that you can sit and share with people. Once they rearranged the seats all against the wall ( small 2 seater round tables ) I rarely come in here now. There are plenty of baristas working, most of them were hustling and working fast, for the most part.. But.. this location is super, Super, super busy. The parking lot is always full and busy with lots of cars... the several times I've been to this location, the store is full with a pretty long line. You end up waiting a few minutes for your order.. This location is great, I go to this one pretty often, A lady named Carolina offered me a sample on the spot to try a drink I wasn't sure I'd like. (It was delicious.) Another time I had come in with a big order to fill and grab all but one drink! Busy busy busy! This Starbucks is a HIGH traffic stop. There is plenty of seating inside and out, however, there is constantly people coming in and out so if you are looking for a slow study place... this isn't it. With the high traffic, drinks take forever to be made so don't come if you are in a rush. My drinks and food are always terrific whenever I come so no complaint there! The only concern I have when I come here is the inconsistency of the temperature, sometimes when I come it's 60 degrees and at other times it's 75 degrees. The inconsistency of the temperature really affects the desire to come in. For-instance, today I wanted a cold brew, however it was FREEZING inside that I had no choice but to order a hot drink since I had no jacket. read more
