Was in the area today around noon and wanted to grab a coffee. I went to this location, and it was pretty empty so I was glad it wasn't too busy. However the customer lady in front of me was returning and exchanging a bunch of Starbucks cups and tumblers and the cashier looked confused as to how to return and exchange her items. I stood there only person in line for almost 10 minutes without anyone jumping on the other register to help me. So I decided to order my drink on the app and went to the pick up window instead. No one greeted me and no one was making me feel welcomed. My drink was ready finally. I asked for a straw and was ignored. I saw there were some on the counter behind this metal sign so I went to grab a short straw and the metal sign fell and hit the ground. All the baristas stared at me. One asked if I was okay, and I said I think so. It wasn't until I walked to the door that I realized I was not okay and that the metal sign had fell on the top of my right foot causing throbbing pain. I returned to the counter and said I'm not okay. One employee asked if I had a red mark, and I said no but my foot hurts really bad. No other employee did anything or checked in on me. I was already late to my meeting given being ignored as a customer, so I left. My foot hurts and I have a bruise and a bump there now. Also the iced coffee tasted very bitter and old. I have never experienced such poor customer service at a Starbucks and I've been to many across San Diego county. I am very shocked by the poor customer service on such a slow Wednesday afternoon and now I have to deal with my foot pain too!

The name was wrong it was supposed to be Valerie

I went to Starbucks to get my drink and they asked for my name and they put me as lary and not Valerie and I waited almost 20 minutes thinking my drink wasn't ready

There is a significant selection of Starbucks coffee shops in the Eastlake area to choose from. This is including those inside vons and target. I strongly say this Starbucks is the coffee shop to go to. The drinks are always well made and they are very quick and efficient.

Since WHEN people CAN'T get a free puppuccino without strictly making a purchase? I just did this a couple of days ago, same place; no issues. Since WHEN do these rules CHANGED? I would totally understand if with higher prices for everything, puppuccinos become also a source to get extra money to the already inflated prices--BUT PLEASE let your CUSTOMERS KNOW, even post a sign somewhere or by the entrance; INSTEAD of having someone telling you inside, when you are there with your puppy (I have a small dog) which I took inside with me--I BOUGHT a small cup of regular coffee, plain, no sugar; etc just so I could get my pup a puppuccino; TO HAVE THE YOUNG CASHIER TELL ME NOW THSY I NEEDED TO WAIT OUTSIDE for my coffee as my pup was no allowed to be inside. No problem, I took him outside, I have no problem following rules/etiquette; JUST MAKE THIS "NEW RULES" P U B L I C. I have been going to Starbucks for years, I have spent a lot of money buying all that Starbucks offer, I even collect cups from all over the world; and I've never heard of this. Now, if you go to the Starbucks page, it clearly states that puppuccinos are FREE, and "baristas are always happy to oblige". Has this changed? If it has, no big deal, as I did buy a small cup of coffee, ($3.50), etc; but the barista's way of saying it to me, her tone of voice, sounded sarcastic. I didn't appreciate that either. Starbucks, if you are going to change the rules, just let us know; Change your rules also on your website, simple.

We were doing some target shopping and had to get our coffee fix on. We ordered the new chocolate cream cold brew and it was delicious. Service was a little slow here, but otherwise good.

I typically do not review Starbucks because all the locations are pretty the same, where you get a hit or miss, depending on the day. For this location, this is my go to for mobile orders. Compared to the other locations, the mobile orders are right in front as soon as walk through the doors. Someone is always there to greet you to ask if you have a mobile order and they assist you right away. I agree with other Yelpers that parking is a challenge. Also, ordering inside is ALWAYS busy and you end waiting awhile. I recommend this Starbucks for the mobile service only because it is consistent and the orders are spot on. They do run out of flavors and food sometimes but that is to be expected compared to other Starbucks.

This was my first time at this location. It was busy but had a nice vibe. There was a little confusion on the order in the beginning but everything came out just fine. I think this location was a little more hustle and bustle then I'm used to but again overall it was a cool experience. Loved the little motivational sign at the counter. My drink was pretty good if give it a 7/10.

It's my Misto!

I picked up a Caffe Misto from this Starbucks. The Misto was pretty good. It was pretty smooth and using the Blond Roast offered a mild coffee flavor. I could not help notice that this particular Starbucks needed some cleaning. The floors needed a sweep and some tables deserved a good wipe down. In fact, I had to wipe down my own table. Service and the counter speedy and friendly enough.

With zero customers inside (except ya two)this Starbucks, one would think the service would be terrific. It was NOT! We ordered 3 items plus an ice water. My GF asked for her ice water twice & twice was denied by the female employee. In her words "He'll get it for you" & "He's working on it" Yet she had time to fill up her personal coffee cup. 5 employees behind the counter & only one serving our coffee's. Music was playing "I'm in love with Stacy's mom" These kids are just having fun & forgetting customer service. Didn't even call the name when coffees were ready.

I have been coming to this location for 4 years and finally get to have my chance to make this review. I gave this location 5 stars because I usually make mobile orders and when I walk in they remember me and what I order. They always are very happy and that what keep me coming to this spot. Great customer service and highly recommended. My favorite drink is the iced americano and it's just so perfect it gives me the energy I need to continue my day with. I will keep coming back with their great work and excellent team of service they have.

The staff was genuinely friendly, and we were able to find a seat inside without too much trouble. We expected a bit of a wait given how busy it was, but the timing ended up being a bit off. Our food arrived first--we had the avocado toast and the mini green chilaquiles. Both dishes were delicious, though the chilaquiles verdes leaned a little heavy on the garlic. (Seriously--hours later, even after brushing, lunch, and multiple rounds of mouthwash, that garlic flavor was still going strong.) We took our time eating, hoping the drinks would arrive, but they didn't come out until much later. We ordered a cappuccino and an iced churro latte. The cappuccino finally came out right as we finished eating--it tasted good, just a bit lukewarm. About five minutes later, the iced churro latte was ready, so we ended up taking it to go. That one was actually really good. Overall, the food and drinks were solid, and the staff made a great impression. I'd definitely like to come back and give it another shot. I love supporting small, locally owned businesses, and with a little adjustment to the flow--like pausing mobile orders during peak times or dedicating a team specifically to them--this place could really elevate the experience.

They offer all the classic coffee staples along with a thoughtful selection of non-coffee items pastries, solid vegan options, avocado toast, and occasionally more substantial offerings like vegan burritos. Each cup is smooth, well-balanced, and never overpowering. There's a subtle, natural sweetness that enhances the flavor rather than masking it, making it easy to enjoy whether you're a casual coffee drinker or more particular about your brew. It's the kind of coffee you can rely on to be consistently good, visit after visit. Casa de Otay has become my go-to coffee spot not just because it's convenient, but because of that dependable quality. My husband and I both love ube, and Cafe 86 is known for its variety of ube desserts. It was fairly quiet when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. Since we had already eaten lunch, we decided to stop by for dessert. The inside was pretty nice -- I especially liked the lighting, which gave the place an industrial vibe. There were couches and tables for seating, making it feel comfortable overall. We were greeted by a younger employee who could've been a bit more energetic and welcoming. The dessert case also looked a little sparse and underwhelming. My husband ordered the Ube Monster shake, and I got the ube cheesecake. The shake was pretty good, though not as creamy as I expected, and I wished the ube flavor was stronger. The ube cheesecake, on the other hand, was fluffy and not overly sweet, which I really liked. It also had a thick cookie crust that was delicious. Still, I would've loved a more pronounced ube flavor in that as well. I'm a huge ube fan, and when I make ube desserts at home, I usually add extra flavoring to really make it stand out. Overall, I'd come back again. Next time, I definitely want to try the flan!

Overall, it tasted okay, but I wished that you were able to customize it somehow (i.e add jellies, change slush flavor, etc). Maybe I could have asked but what made it challenging was that the menu did not clearly show everything they had to offer or it was hard to decipher which price went with what item. The cooler was pretty good and it was part of their $3 drink specials. Keep in mind though, it was not advertised, I just happened to know because I almost did an online order and saw it. I plan to go back and try some more things but there really needs to be more transparency about the menu and the prices clearly displayed.

We parked and noticed nearly all the lights were off. The pastry cabinet was empty, the tables were taped off. But people were inside and customers were in line. Emotions and energy were low, it was quiet and dim vibes all around. We walk in and see just one man working the cashier and making the drinks. He looked puzzled, a bit lost. We get in line behind someone ordering 4+ drinks and see that this guy didn't really know how to make the drinks. He was misplacing the ingredients and wasn't fully confident operating the payment system. The back counter was cluttered with miscellaneous gadgets, appliances, and syrups. It took nearly 20 minutes for the customer in front of us to get from ordering to receiving their drinks and we just watched in slight awe. The guy was apologetic and upfront, he was trying his best in a bad situation. They made some small talk and hinted that they were closing due to supply chain disruptions in Hawaii. I feel for them and wish them well. The coffee itself was ok. Flavor was decent but somewhat unremarkable. They offer different caffeine levels, up to I think 400mg in a drink. I just got the 200mg coffee. Don't know if I just built a tolerance but I fell asleep right after. We did want a pastry but with the baked goods cabinet empty, we weren't sure what they had left to offer. There was a long sign listing everything sold out between the pastries and coffee flavors. Overall the experience was odd and left a slightly bitter emotional taste in my mouth. They've acknowledged that they weren't in the best condition at that point and I do feel unfair to judge them at their worst. If they turn it around, I'm opening to revisiting. But for now, I don't feel compelled to go out of my way for it.
