The English muffins tasted fresh, the eggs, cheese, and toppings were high quality, and I especially loved the dollop of hollandaise sauce on my sandwich--it was like a portable Eggs Benedict! The atmosphere was just as enjoyable as the food. There was plenty of seating inside and outside, the staff was incredibly friendly and prompt, and the café was spotless with adorable décor (plus some fun Lake Norman merchandise for sale). Only one person sitting inside downstairs, likely because it was so beautiful outside. My espresso was a bit bland and not too hot. I asked for double (twice) but was charged for and received a single. Lemon berry scone was a bit undersized, but this was acknowledged by the cashier and he gave me a small discount without asking. Waterbean is spacious, they have indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating. I was waited on immediately and asked the barista for his suggestion. He suggested the Bro-stachio Latte (brown sugar & pistachio). I received it within minutes. It was absolutely delicious. Every sip made me happy. I was just getting a cup to go, but it's an awesome place to stay for a while. The ambiance is perfect.
