What can be said about a Starbucks location that hasn't been said before. I just moved to Corona and this location is going to be my new Starbucks. This location is in a strip mall and does not have a drive through which is too bad. The store is in the far corner suite of the building they are in. The shopping plaza is very busy and parking is challenging which makes it difficult for you to navigate your way to the store once you've found a parking space. Each time I've been in the location they've been very busy which probably speaks to the fact that there are not a lot of Starbucks in the area. They did the best they could with the space available and managed to get a lot of tables and sitting areas in to a smaller odd shaped space. The team there has been excellent. There are alway enough barista's on duty to process the orders quickly and efficiently. My orders have always been processed quickly and accurately. Were it not for the difficulty of getting in and out of the store I would give them four stars. read more

0 STAR! BUT I AM FORCED TO PUT 1 STAR!! I went to this Starbucks location during my lunch break from work. The store is bigger and it looks clean. I ordered a TALL ICED COFFEE WITH 5 PUMPS WHITE MOCHA 3 PUMPS TOFFEE SYRUP WITH 2 SHOT ESPRESSO NO MILK NO CLASSIC IN A GRANDE CUP! My order took 12 minutes to be made! There wasn't any line when I got there and customer who arrived after me got their Drinks first. The barista who made my drink yelled out my name and I thought it was ready and I didn't appreciate how she questioned me with a blank face asking why would I want my drink in a grande cup if I ordered a Tall??? Like why does she care? I've seen many people doing that and I just don't like it when my drinks are too full and it starts dripping on the edge of the lid. I felt embarrassed because she was very loud about it and she looked at me with a confused face. It was very unprofessional. ZERO customer service and I am a regular at Starbucks you can check my account ! That barista doesn't deserve to work there. ON TOP OF THAT they didn't put 2 SHOTS OF ESPRESSO. As a former Starbucks barista, making a connection with a customer is very important. Two baristas from this store, Renae and Alison gave me the rudest service I've ever experienced at any Starbucks Store! They constanlty called my order and my choice 'ugly' and 'gross' simply because it wasn't off the typical Starbucks menu. They just placed my drink on the handoff bar and walked away while saying, "Here's your UGLY DRINK!" Umm... excuse me?! and no, they were not joking they actually meant it. When working for a company you gotta promote your products, and if you dislike something you should keep it to yourself, I've ordered this simple and delicious drink several times at various locations with no hatred, in-fact they've enjoyed making it! Came to this particular Starbucks during a brief visit to Corona. The place is your typical run-of-the-mill Starbucks. Nothing too unique about it. It does have a lot of seats, so plenty of places to sit and study. There is even a long table if you have a large group. There are scant high tables and chairs, so if you're into that sort of thing, there is plenty to go around. Barristas are nice and friendly and it doesn't get too crowded. This employees at this Starbucks always look incredibly unhappy and disinterested. They rarely smile or greet guests with any urgency and never show any interest in engaging. They're much more interested in talking with each other than with their customers. The one on Ontario/15 is just as bad. Skip both and go to either the new one on Main/Rincon or Hidden Valley/15. read more

Negative 1 star. I hope a Manager reads this Based on my visit today (Mother's Day) 10:30 am. Big long line and only 1 cashier working, "HANNAH". When i left, the line was even curving around the entrance door. WHY? Hannah saw/recognized a friend or family member (anyhow a young lady) more then half way down the line. No hesitation on her part! Hannah immediately calls that person to be the next customer up front. Not enough with that. They hug, then they chat - with all us other customers waiting. That said and done, the line moved on. Unfortunately, another guy in line way before me was an acquaintance too - more chat. People around me were crumbling about this whole situation too. And i don't just blame Hannah. Sally was also there, but just doing 'busy' work. More cashiers need to be scheduled to work weekend mornings. Awful, these long lines here on weekends. read more

Never, EVER, no matter how desperate for my caffeine fix I become, will I be returning to this Starbucks. I walked in, expecting a short wait because only 3 people were ahead of me in line. I ordered my Venti Iced Vanilla Macchiato, gave the un-enthused cashier my name (SAMANTHA) and paid my total. I sat down and waited to hear my name and drink order to be called, or to at least see it on the counter. Fifteen minutes pass by, and Ive now witnessed everyone I can recall behind me in line leave with their drinks. I finally ask one of the baristas what the status of my order was and she looks at one of the drinks thats been left on the counter (so long that its now melting) and says "Oh, its right here, She put it as an iced vanilla latte upside down under the name SAMMI"..... ummmmmmm im not trying to split hairs here, but my name is neither Sammi and nor did I order an Iced vanilla Latte. I don't know if any of you reading this review know what a Macchiato looks like, but the beverage sitting on the counter with my new name on it, did NOT look anything like one. The coffee and milk had been mixed, the label said "Iced Vanilla Latte upside down" and my name was not on it. THEREFORE, I never thought to grab it and leave during my 15 minute wait... Also during my wait, I watched multiple customers returning to the store with complaints of wrong or long awaited orders. I even heard one of the baristas admit to another co worker that she had put the wrong flavor shot in a drink RIGHT as the customer walked away. How careless and unprofessional!! This is not the first time I had a bad experience at this location. And like I said, im not trying to make a big deal over a simple spelling of the name or long wait. The facts are: SAMMI is not my name (unless you are one of my grandparents), and an iced vanilla latte, is not a Macchiato.. So how was i supposed to know my drink was ready?!? If the line wasn't out the door and I wasn't already late for work, I would have asked but I just wanted to get the eff out of there. The barista here with the ugly cat like eyeshadow is a complete tool. She gave me attitude when I asked for a pour over from a freshly brewed ice coffee because Pike's Place tastes terrible. I wait 10 mins and still no coffee. Then I ask her where the f*** is my coffee. She responds it's coming, then I see her brew it. If you don't like your job then quit, not hard. read more

If I could rate this Starbucks location for 0 stars I would. This location has got to be the worst one I've ever been too. Most Starbucks stores are exceptionally good and I never have a problem with any single one except this one. The first time I came here it was okay, took 15 mins just to get a plain black coffee out and they weren't busy but I guess the lack of employees could've caused it? The second time I came here I asked for my iced coffee to be blended specifically with no base, received my drink and it was the milkiest drink ever. I explained to the gentlemen that my drink was wrong and he proceeded to argue with me, never have I ever had to argue with a barista to fix my drink lol ridiculous. And then now today I got my typical black iced coffee and the barista filled my cup literally with just ice and a splash of coffee, my straw wouldn't even go inside the cup, so I asked the barista if she could put less ice and she said yeah and aggressively slid my drink to me with coffee dripping all over the cup. I would probably never come back here again. Please step up your customer service here. I'll go back to the one near my house. read more

Seriously third visit I've ordered a white hot chocolate and get a white mocha. Why can't they get it right?

Wanted to try this place since I've had such good experiences with other Starbucks in the area. Ended up late to work with the wrong drink. I asked for a skinny short white chocolate mocha. The woman asked me if I wanted whip twice, before I paid and after. I said no both times. She charged me for a tall and I said I had asked for a short. She shrugged it off and didn't change it. #notimpressed! Walked in on Saturday morning to find a line nearly out the door with one person making drinks and one person at the register. Seriously? Anyways, by the time my husband drinks ordered our drinks, nearly 10 minutes had passed. After repeating our order several times, my husband noticed on our receipt that they did not charge for his croissant. He mentioned to the guy and he flippantly said "oh, I didn't hear" (again after we repeated our order). Five minutes later, the guy yelled out that they were out of the sandwich I ordered. That would have been nice to know to begin with. Ten minutes later, we have still not received the drinks we ordered. Boo! read more

I stopped in right before they were about to close and was being indecisive about If I wanted just a drink or food too and the manager was pleasant and helped me make up my mind on what to get. I must start by saying that I have never written a Yelp review in my life. Therefore, the fact that I'm making one right now should say something. This is the closest Starbucks to my house, so out of convenience I go to this one regularly. Overall, the service is great. No complaint there. However, I felt the need to make this review because of the experience I had this morning. I went in and as usual I order myself a grande chai tea latte; basically my go-to drink unless a new drink comes out which I usually try a few times. I get my drink and make my way home. Due to many repeated experiences of burning my tongue when first getting my drink, I wait the 3-4 min. it takes me to get home before I take my first sip. When I took that first sip I immediately tasted that something was off, so I take a second sip to investigate further. It was horrible! Not just, "Damn, this doesn't taste as good today," as I know happens occasionally, it was HORRIBLE. It tasted as if the milk was rancid and I involuntarily began to dry-heave a little. It takes a lot to nauseate me, so I hope that you, the reader, can understand that I am not exaggerating by any means. After I was able to compose myself and no longer felt like I might throw-up I drove back to the Starbucks. I entered and waited by the drink pick-up station until I was able to catch the attention of one of the baristas. I politely and quietly explained, "Hi, I'm sorry to bother you, I was here a little while ago and ordered this chai tea latte, and I think maybe the milk is bad. It tastes really sour." The barista took my drink and checked the time-stamp and replied, "Well, we get fresh milk daily so it's probably something else. I'll make you a new one, just a sec." This kinda irked me a little. To start, just because you get new milk from your supplier daily doesn't mean that it can't possibly be bad. I work in the kitchen for a hotel and I've had several experiences with getting bad batches of milk that were new and were still a few weeks away from their expiration date. It just happens sometimes. Secondly, even if the issue wasn't the milk, I was explaining to her the issue with my drink and how it tasted to me, and her response made me feel like my experience and issue with the drink wasn't valid. Lastly, I didn't get an apology. I understand mistakes happen, and a lot of times they have no way of knowing because it's not like they taste the drinks they make, but it's not as if I angrily came back like,"THIS DRINK IS SHIT!" or accused them of doing their job terribly or anything to that effect. Anyway, as I was waiting the barista said to me, "Do you usually have it made with water?" I was a little confused by this since I don't really know how the drinks are made and just said, "Oh, uhm, I don't know. Just however you guys normally make it." She responded, "Because we make ours with water, and other Starbucks don't." I'm not sure if this meant that other Starbucks make theirs with milk, because that's what it sounds like, but in any case I thought to myself, "Well, I almost always come here and have never had a problem with them before..." So I responded again, "Just however you guys normally make it." After a few minutes she gave me my new drink, this time I decide to taste it right then and there. HORRIBLE! The exact same! I start to think the problem is me and my mind starts coming up with possible explanations, "There's no way I would feel completely repulsed and nauseated from the drink just being made with water instead of milk... there MUST be something wrong with me. Am I pregnant?!" This time I don't even bother to bug the barista again, I just throw it away on my way out and immediately drive to the Starbucks on E. Ontario Ave. I drive there with the hypothesis, "If I order the same drink there and it tastes like it's rancid too then it must be me..." I order my drink and nervously wait... I get my drink, take a cautious sip aaaand... it's perfect! It's tastes exactly as it should and I take a big sigh of relief. Good. I'm not crazy afterall... I wasn't too happy with the way the barista at the Magnolia Starbucks responded to my experience, but that was really my only negative experience with that Starbucks and I'm sure she (that barista) probably has to put up with a lot of complaints. I just would have liked an apology instead of being made to feel like my complaint was unfounded. I don't understand why they started making their chai tea lattes different, and that is truly the real complaint, because in all honesty it sincerely makes the drink taste like it was made with spoiled milk. It wasn't just unsatisfactory, it was undrinkable... Overall, I still like that Starbucks and just hope that they will switch back to the original way of making their chai tea lattes, because if they don't, I'm sure I won't be the only person who has to start going to a different Starbucks since that drink is one of the classics.
