It's interesting that I see a few reviews about poor or rude customer service. My guess they're either from out of town and live in a place where it's all rush-rush or they might be people in town who really don't care for Starbucks (big franchise) and prefer Dutch or Java, it seems like the old time locals really prefer these two over Starbucks. I've given them a try...eh...I'm a Starbucks girl. And sure our one and only Starbucks closes at 8:00, which kinda sucks, being originally from the Bay Area I was used to my SBucks being open till 10:30...but that's okay. It just means people get to go home to their families a lot earlier here. It's also not the best set up, the Feng Shui of the place inside and out is all wrong, if I were the owner of the building I'd rent the building next door, that's always available, I'd tear down the wall and turn that into an awesome lounge area for locals and tourists to hangout. Honestly the SBucks in Ensenada Baja California Mexico is way bigger and way more stylish then this one...but again...it's okay, it's a small town and it reflects that. What really makes this Starbucks for me are the people that work there. Granted they've been through their rough patches with new people being hired and trained during the summer months, which probably wasn't the best of ideas, but hey, they made it work. Everyone I've come across there has been friendly, personable and the kind of person I'd like to meet outside of SBucks and get to know. Just down right good people and good coffee, is what you'll find at my local SBucks. If you're coming in from the 101 North, I'll bet you'll be happy to see them, seeing how you just drove up for about two hours on a whole lot of nature and nothing else! If you're coming on the 101 South, again, the only SBucks on the 101 will be in Brookings OR, inside of Fred Meyers and sometimes we really just want a drive thru. So stop by our SBucks, remember we're a small town, everything runs a little slower here and remember this, everyone in Crescent City is friendly, just flash a smile and be friendly, you'll see how quickly you make a friend at our local Starbucks. What an amazing staff and location. I recently was on vacation in Crescent city and came by here once or twice a day. Everyone that helped me was so friendly and accommodating each time. My daughter accidentally left her tablet when we were on our way out of town so I called to see if they had it, we were so happy that it was still there. I spoke with Julie and she went out of her way to take it to my hotel so I could get it shipped to me. She then contacted me and told me that she gave the hotel her information just in case they had problems shipping it so that she could take care of it herself. If this place has more than 2 cars in line I pass everytime because their speed is just not 1. consistent or 2. speedy. The chai tea, hot, iced or blended is fab. I also love the black iced tea with less sweetener than normal. Did you know they have a trente sized cup? It's larger than the venti, but not by much. The workers are always very friendly and pretty attentive, at least in the drive thru. I feel as though I'm more ignored when I go inside. read more

Being an avid Starbucks junkie....I was quite excited to see Starbucks still in Crescent City when traveling around the area during my vacation. I like the atmosphere at this location. It's not large but quite a few tables and sitting areas. They also have product I haven't seen in Starbucks in urban locations so I ended up with yet another cup. It's geared towards tea drinkers and made out of plastic; like the many other plastic cups but this one is double insulated and can go in the microwave - that's what sold me. I kid you not, Starbucks ran out of coffee. They weren't out of grounds, as they gave us weak Americanos. Just no coffee.

The drinks are good they have seasonal food cookies and stuff like that and they rarely mess up your order they have free WiFi comfortable seating I think there is some outside eating read more

if I could give this Starbucks no stars i would I ordered 2 refreshers with lemonade from this location and went through the drive thru got my drinks mind you got down the road and they were made with water instead of Lemonade and when I called I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with who I was talking to and i told them that the drinks were to be made with Lemonade and not water and refused to replace my drinks Starbucks you will be hearing from me!!! read more

This is got to be the slowest Starbucks I have ever seen. There are 5 people working and no one is focusing on getting on top of the long line of coffees that need to be made. Complaints are not met with any sufficient response. I asked for my coffee cake on a plate. Got it in a bag. Coffee was too hot. They don't listen. This place is poorly run. read more

Im a local, so I may be biased, I'll admit that up front. A lot of local folks don't want to support Starbucks because it's a franchise. Funny cuz most of them shop at Safeway, Walgreen's and use lots of name brand products.... Anyway, I digress... We have the sweetest baristas at our lil Starbucks. Everytime we come to this starbucks drive thru we wait 45 mins. If I go inside It takes minimum 30 mins for iced tea. The service is absolutely horrible. read more

Service is terrible and it's not great coffee at all unless you load it was sugar and flavors and even then it's lacking.

I will lead with I have PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE in General Management in Food Service and Retail. I have extensive knowledge in Starbucks principles and quality standards. In the past I found this Starbucks to be lacking, and on more than one level. I have been a loyal customer here since the doors opened in 2009. I have seen all the customers, and managers and know them by first name. I have seen supervisors, and managers come and go. I have worked with some of them, and I have avoided some of them. I must say that this store has really turned around. It has an amazing quality control on beverages, and the manager Sapphire Bang goes above and beyond to ensure that her customers are well taken care of. We have to REMEMBER that we are all human, and that mistakes happen. That is part of business, and life. If you ever have an issue let the shift supervisor know, and if it is not resolved see Sapphire. She will ensure it is made right. She holds herself and her store to the highest of standards on all levels. I expect the best as a Starbucks customer who spends of $2,000.00 a month at Starbucks. I know when a store hits the mark, and this one does. I always get good quality beverages and food. My housecleaner came too so I went to local Starbucks for coffee. No line then. Three employees greeted me by name including Miguel who poured my usual coffee (dark roast, no room,for here) and put it on the counter so all I did was pay. Sometimes this place is packed, sometimes almost empty; sometimes a long line and wait, sometimes no line and quick service. My two suggestions for improvement-- * expand into the vacant space in the other part of the building, and * get some more comfy chairs. The wooden ones are not comfy especially if you're there for a while. read more

The worst, rudest customer service of any Starbucks, or any coffee shop ever!! Went to drive through just about 20 minutes ago. I ordered to simple drinks and the woman was completely rude and repeated it wrong. Then said, " is that what you were trying to say?" What? I said, " no, actually it's a Venti Iced white mocha with whip and a tall Carmel frapp. Got to window, different girl was polite, then angry woman hands me my coffee with this ugly scowl of a 1980's Mike Tyson entering the ring. I say, "oh I asked for whip" she grabs coffee and slams window comes back and just puts the coffee out there. No "sorry bout that". Or "here you go". Just ugly, evil venom. Lots of excuses, bad day, busy, etc. doesn't matter. It was offensive and disgusting! read more

Standard starbucks with consistant overpriced drinks. They do have a decent sitting area inside and outside to meet up with friends and hang out. The drive thru moves at typical Crescent City speed aka super slow! If you're in a hurry and passing through try Dutch Bros for a speedier and a better tasting lower priced drink. Or head across the street to Java Hut for an all around better non-cookie cutter style coffee drink or smoothie. read more

This Starbucks needs new management. First, the store is filthy. There appears to be no instruction as to how to clean tables and floors as well as restrooms. Second, there seems to be plenty of employees to do the work, it's just that they aren't working together. Because of this, they are the slowest Starbucks I've ever been in. A young male employee also gave what I'm assuming was his "crush", a free drink and pastry, thinking no one was watching. I'd think I would be used to it by now, but the girls there treated me like I was going to rob the place or some craziness just because of my race. I understand usually Starbucks experiences aren't that great for most people because of the lack of customer service and excellence the company pretends to portray it has. And I mostly agree with that, but in which leads to the needed review for this location. The young lady who helped my husband and I at this location was so kind and caring. We have specific requests regarding our drinks, and she wasn't the least bit rude about it, which is what I'm used to. Her upbeat attitude was uplifting. I don't remember her name which I'm really bummed about, but I will most likely be back to this location for travel and if I see her I'll update her name here so she can receive recognition. The staff are very friendly and eager to please, no complaint here BUT I order a certain drink probably 5 times a week and it is never consistent. I have to taste test before I leave drive up to make sure it's right. Three ingredients make up this drink and the explanation I get is that the actual pump isn't working properly. I have to say since moving up North I do not go to Starbucks often but when I do this location always has a friendly staff, clean cafe area and clean restrooms. I think it's silly for a coffee shop on a main highway to close at 8pm but hey its nice for the employees. Which brings me to my most recent experience here. My friend and I decided to do an impromptu starbucks run for frapps, the day was unusually sunny so we didn't realize it was almost closing time. We pull into the drive thru at precisely 8pm, thinking we missed it. Then low and behold a voice came over the speaker welcoming us to Starbucks and asking what we would like to order. I work retail as well and I know how much it sucks when someone comes last minute or when a store is closed. We apologized, but they told us there was no need and happily made our drinks for us. I have to say I am extremely impressed with Amanda and Mike's exemplary customer service and overall friendliness. You guys made our night! This Starbucks is a great place to meet friends for coffee. Being a college student I go there a lot to study. For the most part I usually receive good service and the baristas are always super friendly but they are so slow. I think they may just be understaffed because the wait time tends to be long and the tables are always dirty so I usually wipe the table down with the Wet Ones in my purse. I prefer drinks from Dutch Bros over Starbucks hands down but the study lounge is nice. read more

This location had the worse customer service I've ever experienced at a Starbucks. Very slow, my plain bagel came way after my son finished his breakfast sandwich. And when they called out one of our drink they called out wrong name. Ordered a chocolate frappe (no coffee) for my son. Barista told us our Mocha was ready, then argued that "Mocha" is just their syrup and that the name doesn't refer to coffee drink. Um, really? Will not return to this location. read more

I have had some bad experiences at the Crescent city CA Starbucks. I sat in the driveway for 25 minutes. As I approached the window the girl at the window sat my drink on the counter, turned and took another person's order without taking my money and giving me my drink as mine mine sits and gets cold. Place was nice and spacious. The People were great. A two star because my cup of coffee had lots of coffee or black particles at the bottom of the cup which almost choke me. I Went back, asked the cashier. She apologize and gave me another half cup that looked worse and had more black pieces of particle. Finally, I asked for a fresh brew and got what I wanted: fresh and clean cup of coffee. read more

I've been to Starbucks literally all over the world and for the most part they are usually clean, service is great and coffee consistent. Maybe I was at this Starbucks on an off day and they were short handed, but the bathroom was dirty, the trash was overflowing where you add cream and sugar, etc. the creamer was empty, I tried two different tables before I found one that was clean and the entire store looked like it needed to be swept. One of the baristas, the young man who took my order was very friendly, but the others were not and it took forever to get my drink, nothing fancy a simple Americano. Service was terribly slow and it's not like people were lined up out the door. It is not what I have experienced at other Starbucks. Like I said, maybe it was an off day, hopefully, that's the case, but I think I'll give some local coffee bars a try. read more

This location is very slow and it seems like they are confused on how to make anything but coffee, I ordered a frapp with extra frapp roast and soy no extra frapp roast and whipped cream, ordered banana bread and they gave me pumpkin went through the drive through and took about 15 minutes with only 2 cars in front of me.
