I've been to this Starbucks a handful of times as my family is from Delano and I like to stop by here whenever I'm in town. I usually either do drive thru because I'm too lazy to get out of the car or my sisters usually go down and go through the cafe while I wait in the car. With the drive thru, it's a given that you will be waiting 10+ minutes to even place your order because this is the only Starbucks in town. Sometimes the amount of people in the cafe also double the waiting time for the drive thru because there are obviously a lot of orders coming in both ways. So I come in on Friday (8/10/18) at around 9:15 PM and the drive through wasn't slow at all and the cafe was close to empty. I placed an order for two green tea lattes and then later went back in line to place another order for tea. Anyways, as I'm waiting for my drinks to come out, I saw that the employees were chatting a lot. It didn't really bother me because I hadn't been waiting for that long. About 7 minutes have passed and my drinks were still not out and the employees were still chatting with each other. There were two people making drinks for the drive thru orders and one specific employee who was just chilling in their work area and talking (might I say, distracting) her fellow employees. So 10 minutes have passed at this point and still no drinks for me. Finally, I saw that the same employee that was talking and distracting her other co workers, was starting to place order stickers on cups. BUT, for every sticker that she placed on a cup, she would stop and talk to her co-workers for another 2-3 minutes. At this point, I am a little bit annoyed and ticked off as I have been waiting for close to 20 minutes for my drinks. At one point while I was waiting, she even pulled out her phone to show her coworkers something or have them listen to a song or something. I ordered three drinks and waited for almost 30 minutes!! That is ridiculous. To top it all off, when I told the girl who was making my drinks(same chatterbox employee) that I had a cold cup to put my drink in, she glared at me and gave me attitude with the way she said, "K." This Starbucks really needs to get their act together. Wait times are ridiculously long, even when the store isn't busy. Employees just chatting away and literally not even keeping track of how long their customers have been waiting. read more

I was hoping to start my day off with some coffee, but when I got there, they had me sitting at the drive thru for a few minutes until I said "Hello, are you open?" Overly sweetened sweet drinks, nearly tasteless breakfast food, poor customer service and why no red cup? My lukewarm Caramel mocha was loaded with caramel syrup, I asked for half sweet and it was either made full sweet or next time I'm going with... Any other coffee shop, cause there won't be a next time. Iced tall Americano was super bitter. Breakfast food on the menu looked good but they only had 2 of the options available. My first choice wasn't there and neither was my second, being that I was road tripping I settled and got a sausage egg mcmuffin looking thing, it had almost no taste and like the caramel mocha it was barely warm. This has got to be the worst starbucks that I have ever been to! I had a mobile order and had 2 drinks in that order. When I arrived there, I waited patiently for my drinks. About 5 minutes after waiting, I received my first drink. I continued to wait as they seem busy. About another 5 minutes later, one of the Barista asked me if I was waiting on anything else. I told her what I was waiting on and the guy who handed me my first drink rudely said "I didn't call your name." I told him I understand but the other barista asked me if I was waiting on anything else, so I just wanted to make sure my other drink wasn't missing. He continued to say, "I didn't call your name." Then, about another 2 minutes later, another girl finished my drink and it was overflowing with cold foam. I was irritated and just took my drinks and left. Went through the drive through around 7am and ordered a Venti Ultra Caramel Frappe. Since the lady didn't get the size I wanted she just said I wanted a tall, but I wanted a venti. When I told her venti she raised her voice with an attitude. Maybe you should focus on one thing at a time. read more

Considering the thread seen in most of the reviews about "long waits" I was truly nervous to purchase from this Starbucks, however as it being the ONLY one in Delano I readied myself for the wait. Suffice to say, I was out in less than 2 minutes (walk-in) and my chai tea soy latte taste as well as any other Starbucks in LA. Two things they should work on, is immediate attention to the customer when they are at the register -- meaning, talk to the client not the coworker. And clean up. The trash was filled and there were leftover cups and napkins at tables that long gone customers left behind. Other than that --- i was pleased with the drink. read more

I hate being that person to complain about a drink order but that's literally their main job to to make the right drink combo's lol so here we go... First time visiting this location and the drink order normally contains caramel drizzle in and around the sides and bottom of the cup. No drizzle but no biggie ask the window cashier/person who took my order/person who made my drink if she could add the caramel because she forgot it. She proceedes to squeeze a blob of caramel and hands it back, again no biggie it's just caramel. Take a drink and that's when I realized I would have to park and would be going inside. I ordered almond milk because I am highly lactose intolerant and I can very clearly taste it is made with regular milk and then I noticed I have a problem, no receipt, and no sticker recipe on cup so trying to figure out how to explain this to the cashier inside. I went in and asked to speak to the gal who made my drink. Asked what kind of milk she put and she says "I think 2%"....girl you think? Yeah no not what I ordered and this sucker was 7$. Luckily they were able to put it back on my card and the manager who was the cashier on the inside, was very professional and sweet. She offered to remake it herself for me free of charge. So happy ending and like I said, it's weird to be so picky but it is in their job description "barista" to create coffee drinks and we all know this stuff ain't cheap so please don't give me a drink that contains something that will make me honestly pretty sick. If the gal who messed up my order wasn't so uncaring and did her job without so much attitude when she clearly messed up, I don't think I would be writing this long a** review lol but I can't see myself ordering there again if she's behind the counter. read more

Well, we did just that. Used the clean restroom, ordered and received a perfect drink, in and out and on my way in less than 5 minutes. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. Waited in line with only 2 vehicles ahead of me and it still took 23 minutes in the drive thru to receive my order, which was made incorrectly and I was given the wrong breakfast sandwich. This place is great. Love the staff and they never messed up my drink yet. They are awesome and great to talk to. I always come and get the passion tea lemonade sweeten or the hot peppermint mocha. 5 stars for some one who knows how busy and stressful working at a Starbucks can. For a Starbucks, this place sucks. Been there twice now. Both times, the coffee was at best just "warm." WiFi was barely passable. There is only one outlet to charge things. Both time, it looked like the customer was parked there for the long haul. Forget trying to go there during rush hour. Kinda hard to believe in Delano, but it looks like the Hollywood Freeway (or the Bayshore if from the City). Cecil St is jammed. Heard there is a Starbucks at the nearby Wal-Mart shopping center. Arrived at 10:30pm to where I found the dining area closed early considering that the location closes at 11:00pm as labeled for business hours. I was referred to the drive thru after I was informed that the dining area was closed. I resumed to place my order via drive thru however, when I recieved my "hot" beverage it was at room temperture. This Starbucks never fails to satisfy my cravings for a nice cup of coffee, or perhaps an ice cold frap, maybe even a tea added with a side of their delicious cookies. The cashier who helped me at the register was friendly and maintained a positive attitude during the whole transaction. The wait for my Joy Tea was about a couple minutes long which is really great, I would recommend coming in the mornings up to the afternoon hours, as that's when this establishment is calm and they are able to keep the orders rolling through professionally and efficiently. Just be cautious on the hours of visitation as it gets really bad around the afternoon hours and the wait times can go up to 20 minutes. This place is terrible they always get my order wrong. If it weren't for the fact that they are the only Starbucks between Tulare and Bakersfield I don't think anyone would go to this one.
