Unfortunately the worst location of Starbucks I've been to. Staff is nice enough, location itself is lovely -- downtown Farmington, where I grew up, is great for walk-ability, but it ends there. I stopped in here today because some friends and I were meeting for book club in the pavilion area, and I still had enough stars from last year's Starbucks game for a free drink. I got my usual, a chai tea latte with soy milk. lately I had ice cream with oat milk so I asked if they had that, but they have almond, soy, or cashew milk and I believe one or two others, but no oat milk. They have one bathroom in the back and it was pretty clean, as well. The pavilion itself has a bathroom too if you get stuck. Great location, but study bugs take note, this coffee shop gets pretty busy. Busy in a sense that it's quite endearing. You have the regulars (retired gentlemen) who gather around a tiny table and catch up and laugh for hours in confident company, couples who hold hands as they read newspaper side by side, stay at home moms who made a pit stop to grab a cup of sanity from a busy day from watching the kids they brought to the cafe..etc.. I mean you are in downtown Farmington so it's natural to have a sense of community with a cup of Joe. I feed off of energy so I don't mind. But if you prefer a quiet place to study, I recommend bringing earplugs or jam out the noise with a pair of head phones. Also there aren't a lot of outlets in this particular stop -choose your table wisely. May the odds be forever in your favor. Now- onto the important stuff. The coffee. It's just what you expect. This is a good relatively big Starbucks location. It can be pretty busy on the weekend and it can be a bit of a line but they work through the orders pretty fast. They have a nice selection of already brewed coffee's which is nice for those of us that actually like regular brewed coffee and not fancy coffee mixes that takes 15 mins to make and the work of 3 baristas. They did screw up the order for the smoothie but I assume it was because they were so busy when we where there. read more

Even though I quickly realized and corrected my mistake, an off-duty staff member called me out. Nice location in downtown Farmington. Fairly large amount of seating and usually I don't have any trouble securing a seat unlike the Northville Haggerty Road location where it is nearly impossible to find a seat. Staff is very friendly but this is the second time I've received the incorrect order. I ordered an iced cinnamon almond milk macchiato but they made it hot instead of iced. The barista was nice and apologetic and offered to make me a new one but I just drank it hot. Second time this has happened. I came a few months back and ordered a cold latte and received the wrong order and I didn't have time for them to remake it, so it was a little bit of an inconvenience. The barista seemed to be new this time so that could be why also. They are also often out of their eggwhite sandwiches which can be frustrating if that's the main reason you went to visit. The last 3 times I visited, my coffee tasted burnt, and the amount of product in my cups was embarrassing and just not worth it. If I wanted THIS MUCH room for cream in my latte, I would ask, but I order lattes expecting no room for cream. I often visit this location when I'm meeting clients for DJ consultations. I like this one over others for a few reasons: 1. It's easy to get to. It's on the corner in the strip plaza where it rests and parking is always available. 2. There's always a seat. If you visit other locations, everyone and their brother is in Starbucks hogging a 4-seater when a 2-seater would do. 3. They're lightning quick with their service. The associate was rude to me when asking me to do something that I wouldn't have had a problem with had i known in the first place or if she just asked in more polite tone, instead of embarrassing me in front if her peers. Unexceptable. My order was no ready when I got there it seemed to have been some confusion around it when I arrived like they couldn't find it or weren't sure if they made it. They caught my name right. But to top it off the drink was absolutely horrible not what I ordered nmdid not include all of my request and was done incorrectly. I realized it once I got to the car, I cad to return for a full refund waiting another 2-3 minutes for that on top of the long wait to get the order. I was in a hurry to get back to work. And so much time was waisted at here and to get nothing, not even a curtisy credit to return for a better experience. They had all employees on deck that day sitting in the lobby at a round table. The staff here is super duper -very helpful and friendly! The inside and outside is usually always spic-and-span, besides a few shipment boxes that sometimes pile up near the sale shelves. It would be nice if they had room in the back for them, but other than those it is a tidy place. The prices have increased over the past couple of years, so this is no longer a particularly cheaper Starbucks *sadface.* It wasn't until I had had a Biggby that I realized the convenience of having a barista fill your regular brewed coffee for you like they do at Starbucks. I have been going to this location for a couple of months, order the same thing every time. Venti 4 tea bags 3 honey and 4 pumps of peppermint. Half the time they make it wrong but dumb keeps going back. Today as usual i ordered via Mobile App, got in there and they questioned my order had to wait, started drinking half way to work doesnt have the honey or peppermint and watched them talk about me. When I moved to Farm Hills it was great to have a Starbucks in the neighborhood. Over the last year I have noticed that some staff are becoming "full of themselves" and not customer service oriented. I am in this site at least once or twice a day. However, the friend I frequent there with has recently asked "may we please find a new Starbucks to go to". I told her that's funny I was going to ask if we could as well. Her reasons are the same as mine. This group frequently thanks me for my patience with them. Which have been a result of messing up my order or not even seeing I had an order. I am a patient person and quite frankly am not going to have a fit over food or beverage issues. What I don't have tolerance for is plain and simple lack of respect for others. Some members of staff are turning this Starbucks into a "social group" for themselves. It's very disappointing to me. I can't even imagine for those who aren't part of this "Clique" and have to work with them, how awful and painful it must be to come to work. One of the other reviews speaks to staff giving advice to other staff. This is a "normal" occurrence at this Starbucks. The other day this group had a feeding frenzy over the age of one of their fellow teammates. It was hard to watch and whether the staff member answered or not, is very inappropriate in the work. This Starbucks has such a nice and friendly atmosphere, not the crazy, stressful environment you would encounter in so many other locations. The employee was very accommodating of my confusing order (yep I'm one of those people) and even gave me descriptive suggestions on how to improve it. Once walking in, I noticed there was a long wait for drinks (no wait to order) which didn't bother me. But I was never greeted nor told it'll be a minute. The girls working just walked back and forth, making eye contact, but never saying a word. Once they gave me my drink and walked away, they didn't provide me with a straw.
