Easily my favorite spot in downtown Farmington! I live for their blueberry croissants and a cafe miel. Staff is always friendly and you can usually grab a seat and enjoy the ambiance if they're not too busy

Beautiful place with nice workers! Got a free sample of a matcha pastry and the basil mozzarella baked good I had was delicious. Would definitely recommend their almond croissant; it's my go-to!

This bakery is beautiful and has a nice outdoor seating area. The pastries were pretty expensive and I found them to be a bit underwhelming. The lemon tart crust was really tough to bite because of how hard it was. The lemon part was just ok. The trendy mango had a chocolate shell that was kind of melty (was looking for a crack). The inside was creamy with some mango bits inside but a bit bland overall. The croissant texture wasn't quite flaky and there was way too much cream on top.

I have been here plenty of times! I went in this day after seeing their viral fruit cakes and decided to get a few. While this place is defiantly in the pricey side the quality is amazing. The downtown Farmington location does not have great seating and is only good for take out as well as the parking isn't the best. The service was good, but I did go on a not so busy weekday.

Usually, I get their cakes or macarons, and they are always good. I never had their croissant before and it is disgusting. Texture is like a piece of clay/dough and too much butter. Store bought croissant is better than this. Also they dare to charge $7.5 for it. What a waste.

I have been to Cannelle's Birmingham location before and I've heard of its reputation as a fabulous patisserie, so I was excited to see they now have a downtown Farmington location. I was seeing a movie at the Farmington Civic and decided I would stop in if they were still open tonight, and they were. As one of the other reviews here says, the pastry case definitely catches your eye as soon as you walk in. Everything looked super nice and also delicious. It was hard to choose just two items for myself and my husband. I will say most items range from $8-9, which for me is a little bit on the pricey side, but they all looked really fresh and amazing. I ended up getting some sort of mango cake and also a PB&J pastry. I haven't tried them yet but they both look delicious so I'm excited to try them out today or tomorrow. There is an area to sit and it looks like they have a little outdoor seating area as well. I realize it's been open for over a year now according to other reviews here but it should be a pretty nice addition to the downtown Farmington scene.

Another great Canelle location! I've been to the Birmingham and Ann Arbor locations in the past and I was surprised to see that this location has hot food! I ordered the almond croissant (my normal go to) but I also ordered the caprese (heated) and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted so fresh and I loved every bite. I came early on a Sunday and it was relatively slow. I believe the almond croissant was almost $6 and the caprese was $11. I do think the croissants are the best thing on the menu, however for $6 each I think it's pricy! However, I don't come very often so this is normally just a treat when I buy at Canelle. Although pricy, every once in a while it's very worth it!

We came back for my little one's second birthday to make her day special. She picked out a mousse cake and a macaron and they were both SO good!

I've been a fan since the store opened downtown Detroit so I was thrilled to see a location closer to me in the suburbs. We found ourselves with some free time on a cold wintery Sunday morning and decided this would be a great time to check it out. Walking in you can't help but be dazzled by the delicious desserts that await you. But don't forget to try a croissant, they are light and flaky and will win you over in a heartbeat. We always do something savory and something sweet, it's the perfect combo. They also offer lots of different coffee choices. I loved the soft jazz playing in the background. One word of warning is this store is small... Like only 4 tables small. We ended up waiting about 10-15 minutes for a table, and it was a fun place to spend a Sunday morning but I wish they had a bigger space for tables. It does look like they have a patio so during the warmer months there is more seating. Also, just a warning that one of the doors is right where the tables are and if you go on a super cold day be prepared for a blast of cold air every few moments. I would still go back but maybe not on a busy, cold winter day.

Very nice, but definitely on the pricey end. This is a charming little cafe, and the coffee drinks are really good, but they do take their time getting drinks to the table. We had some iced lattes and coffees and we really liked them, but the wait was a bit of a pain. The ambiance is super charming, very French patisserie style and relaxing, with a little al fresco seating (weather permitting, lol), and we really enjoyed the decor and such. We also ordered some pastries and they were very good, pricey, but very delicious. Love the relaxing ambiance and delectable treats. Service was not super friendly, but efficient and they did take their time, but it is worth it.

I was happy to see another bakery in downtown Farmington. I always enjoy a good bakery but this one is a little fancy for my taste. More European than old fashion. I got a few things that had raspberry and they were good but expensive. Maybe I am out of the target demographics, since it's a busy place. The drinks and food are available so you can grab breakfast, brunch or lunch also. Has street parking along with a lot next to it. Small eating area in the back and some outside. I am glad I tried it but want a bakery with sugar cookies and regular cakes and cupcakes.

Charming French bakery. I've been to a couple of their other locations. This one is pretty consistent with their other locations. I think their stand out items are the croissants. They are so fresh and flaky. They have some amazing flavor combinations. My favorites are the goat cheese olive oregano, feta tomato basil, and brie apple raspberry almond. They also have coffee, sandwiches, and other pastries. It is a bit pricey for what it is.

I ordered the Italiano - Genoa salami, fire roasted ham, pistachio mortadella, capicola, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, on fresh focaccia bread. I liked how the sandwiches are not too thin and not too absurdly large. It's great value and just enough food to keep you over until dinner time. Highly recommend this place and would definitely revisit in the future to try the other sandwich options. That's all

They have a menu board with multiple options listed. You order at the stand at the back of the store, and then our food was brought out to us even though we had ordered it to go. I am not sure if that is always the process- I was expecting to go to the counter to pick it up myself so that was a nice surprise! We ordered our sandwiches to go even though we were dining in as we knew we would be taking home leftovers. The seating area inside is no frills. They have less than 10 tables inside, and when we were leaving all of them were full with people waiting for seats. They did appear to have 2 tables outside but they were not being used as it was raining. They did have a carafe full of ice water that was self serve by the door, and they had large cups available which I appreciated! My eyes were immediately drawn to the Spicy Chicken Caesar and the Napa Club. Since this was my first time I ordered both and planned to share half of each sandwich. When I opened the Spicy Chicken Caesar I was surprised by the appearance of it. I had expected a lot more lettuce inside. It looked more like chicken salad rather than salad with chicken. The flavor was good and it was not too spicy! The focaccia was very soft. The Napa Club had great flavor to it, but when I was eating it I could really tell that there was avocado inside of it. The predominant flavor was the garlic and herb aioli. I did feel the chicken was a touch on the dry side. Overall, my experience and food were good; however, I am not sure I agree with the rave reviews. I would return in the future and would love to try some of their other meats aside from chicken, and their pasta salad also looked nice. The service was friendly and I feel like the price was fair. It's a nice addition to downtown Farmington!

The only issue is, I'm guessing the kitchen was backed up and the servers were a bit overwhelmed. We ended up having an enjoyable meal, and the food itself was great as always. I finally made it on a free morning, just in time for an early lunch. On the day of my visit, it was cold and wet, so outdoor dining was out of the question. Just inside is a large deli counter with items available for take-out. Beyond that was a large and stylish dining room, where diners enjoyed the last of their breakfasts. I was a smidge earlier than everyone else; the dining room filled up soon afterwards. I loved the huge menu - there were so many options for soups, salads (Maurice, Greek, and Cobb, to name a few), sandwiches (Reuben's, triple deckers, and even vegetarian), burgers and hot dogs, breakfasts (omelettes, waffles, and French toast), and deli classics. I opted for the Victor Special, extra cut, which included larger portions of both corned beef and pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The thinly-sliced meat was indeed piled high at the center. For my side, I had wanted the onion rings, but they were already sold out! Instead, I went with the hash browns; they were crispy with a mashed potato-like interior. In retrospect, I should have tried some of the foods I've enjoyed from my hometown: knishes, blintzes, latkes; I'm now dreaming of meals I've had in my past. Service was fine at first, but my server got busy elsewhere, and her coworkers pitched in.
