I did not purchase anything from Starbucks today but when exiting Ralph's, they were offering samples of their hot coffee and Madeline's. It's a very cold windy morning for us Californians so I truly appreciated this. The level of service the worker of Starbucks had was above and beyond. She was friendly and kind. She also knew the items she was demoing. The ambiance of this location is simple and casual. It's inside a grocer so not the best location to come and enjoy coffee with friends. My son had a long appointment across the street and I needed a place to wait. I brought my other 2 teens who needed to work on their computers. This Starbucks looks clean and modern. There were plenty of seating but I can see them getting full. There was plenty of outdoor seating. Service here is lacking. I ordered a few things. I had questions about sugar free options. I was interested in the ube matcha or the lavender matcha . I didn't want both of them! Since I was asking about both of them, cashier rung me up for both of them. One of them had the sugar free option I wanted and the other didn't. They call your name when it's ready. They forgot to call my name on the ube macchiato. I happened to notice it sitting there with my name on it. I didn't order it though so I stood there confused. No one was interested in helping me. She finally called my name for the drink I did want. I asked her if both were mine, she said yes. I'm really confused and looked at my receipt. No wonder my bill was $30! I didn't want to go through the trouble to get a refund. I'm now hyper caffeinated and sugared up! Sad thing is I didn't care for the coconut ube macchiato. It tasted weird to me. I let my teens have it since I can't finish both. They didn't care for it either. I did love the lavender matcha though! I do appreciate that they are now using glass cups for in house drinks. I got the spinach, feta and egg wrap. Dolores is AWESOME. Let me tell you that I never expect anything when I go to Starbucks BUT. She made the experience completely different for me. She was very accommodating, gave a wonderful recommendation on how to order my shaken espresso. It really was her going the extra mile and being so kind that made this Starbucks run so different. I've been coming to this Starbucks for years, and it's consistently one of the friendliest locations around. The drinks are always made well, but what really keeps me coming back is the people. The team here does a great job creating a welcoming atmosphere every time I stop in. Jai in particular always stands out, super personable, friendly, and great at making customers feel welcome. You can tell the staff actually enjoys interacting with people, and that kind of energy makes a big difference. The whole team is warm and attentive, and it really shows in the overall experience. Just dropped in for a second but this Starbucks is in a good, quiet location! Several people are here working on their laptops and it's pleasant and peaceful! The staff says "hello" or "welcome " to everyone who comes through the door and it feels genuine! I ordered a sandwich from a nice guy who promptly brought it over and said he hoped I'd have a nice day! Music Jess playing in the background, some EDM and it added to the laid back atmosphere! Not many complaints about this location. Standard Starbucks experience though with a drive through option! I usually am able to find a spot to sit and study which is really nice. People don't really hang around for a long time so seats do come when you wait. I recommend doing mobile orders so you don't have to wait in line and then wait for your drink. Small Parking lot and sometimes hard to get into because it's in the same complex as Costco. read more

Venti iced passion tea, splash heavy cream, two stevia and no water. asked for a straw and was told they can only give out straws for a frappe drink, "straw shortage" WTH? I don't like drinking out of these lids. I realize there are many shortages right now, then put this sign up so we know BEFORE we order. This review is for Barista Lauryn. I never go to this Starbucks, as some have said because the drive through is always full of cars. I had just eaten dinner at the Chipotle next door, and decided to order a Starbucks to go anticipating that there might be quite a bit of people inside their lobby. Surprisingly it was just a few people inside. I am glad that I did. I know that for the most part we patronize establishments for the service they do. Get in and get out, it's the California/New York/Tokyo life I suppose. Every once in a while, we get a chance to connect with people and remember what life is all about, people. I was making small talk with the cashier initially, and then with [Barista] Lauryn who was on the cusp of fulfilling my order request. Upon leaving, and very cleverly I might add, she made my entire day with a very insightful and witty punchline. I don't know where her career may go in coffee, but her comedic delivery, and people skills are impeccable. Thank you, Lauryn, for the laugh today. Keep killing them with kindness. read more

It helps that I usually get there at 6:30 AM on a week day. I'm usually the only one or two cars in the drive thru. Fridays are different though. Everyone wants their Friday morning coffee!! TIME. Seems like they just put cold foam on it but still charge me for cream cold foam and when I try to address it with an employee they seem confused on what I'm asking for. It has happened several times, hence this review. I'm not even half way through my drink and the "foam" is completely gone and there's what looks like curdled milk floating around in my drink. I normally don't write 1-star reviews and it's especially painful to write one for a store I visit frequently and a brand that I admire for quality and consistency. Todays coffee run to this Starbucks location was infuriating. At first I thought I got lucky when I saw the drive thru line being much shorter than usual. I should have taken it as a sign that something was off. I'm a big fan of the dark roasts that Starbucks has, especially earthy ones like Sumatra and Komodo, or the balanced ones like Casi Cello and Verona. However, I'm not too keen on the super dark roasts like Italian, French or Espresso roast which are served as the dark choice sometimes. Therefore, the conversation at the speaker always starts with me asking what todays dark roast is. Todays reply was "we have our regular dark" - ugh - another new hire that hasn't been trained well. That happens once in a while and I keep my cool and ask her to please go check or ask someone. Today it turned into 5 rounds of "we just have our regular dark" until I felt the need to explain to her how Starbucks and roasts work and that there is no such roast called "Regular Dark". At that point the manager entered the conversation. I got my hopes up that I was finally able to find out and get my order placed. Instead, I was told that todays dark is Veranda. Ouch. I've seen new hire confuse Blonde Veranda with Dark Verona before. Easy mistake to make. No big deal. So I ask her to please go verify. The response was " we are serving our Christmas Blend". Finally a plausible answer and a good one, since this year's Christmas Blend is from a great variety of Sumatra beans and is actually one of the best that Starbucks has. I order my venti with cream and pull to the window for payment. When she hands me my coffee, she tells me to be careful since it's very hot. Odd comment and I didn't think a out it twice, but was about to find out why. Luckily always take a small zip before putting the coffee in my cup holder and drive off, just to be sure I got the right order. I've been accidentally handed mochas and lattes in the past. Mistakes happen, no big deal, just zip and if wrong they will fix it. Today, I immediately noticed the coffee being much hotter than usual. Scorching hot like americanos are served due to the boiling water. The taste was not present either. It felt like they put a quarter coffee in my cup and topped it off with hot water. I don't like asking for do-overs but after the ordering incident and attitude, I wasn't going to take this. I asked her politely that my coffee tasted off and if I could switch it to Pike. Sometimes a brew goes wrong and a batch ends up off, so best to switch variety than get one more bad one. It took way too long to pour a new cup, which again was a sign that something was wrong. When I got my Pike, it tasted exactly as watered down and was exactly as excessively hot as the Dark. Clearly they are trying to mess with me. At this point, I felt bad for the people being held up behind me in the drive thru line, so I tossed my coffee in the trash and went to another store, where I got a good tasting cup at the right temperature as one would expect. Needless to say, I will be telling all of my family, friends and neighbors to avoid this store from now on. read more

What's wrong with that Sierra Lakes location ? How about making it right to begin with, and not wanting to charge me "extra" for their mistake ? Starbucks Sierra Lakes I went to Sierra Lakes Starbucks a few minutes and got my order from the drive through, the cashier (Brandon) gave me a wrong drink. After the drink was place in my car for a couple minutes while waiting for the other drinks. I noticed the drink was wrong, the cashier took it back from me (cross contamination), and I got my other drinks. While driving off, I saw the same drink was given to the driver behind me. I called Starbucks immediately, and I spoke to manager (Jenelle) she stated, " if I did not drink from the drink it is okay to give another customer". Horrible service! Waited 15 minutes IN STORE for a couple of drinks. Went to car and forgot my egg bites so had to go back in and ask for them. Took another 5 minutes and they weren't even cooked all the way and ordered extra toasted it's on package. They went back to toast them again and guess they started all over because it still wasn't toasted looked raw still. I was in middle of ordering and girl just left register to do something else coming back a few minutes later so took even longer to get an order in. Everyone moving like turtles in there, more talking than working and orders just sitting out as they call them with no energy just a whisper. Who's going to hear that? Counters are dirty as heck. I go to this place almost everyday either mobile pick up or drive thru :) Drive thru takes lil time but mobile pick up order works so great. Place an order when out of my house and they get ready always before I get there unless I order more than 4 drinks+ Employees are happy and very cheerful most of the time. Employees here are so rude. I usually place a mobile order for pickup through the drive thru in hopes that it makes it easier to make my drink. I just order on the app and select pickup through the drive thru and it's no problem at every Starbucks I've been to except for here. Barista with pink hair gave me a nasty attitude and told me next time I have to wait inside for my drink why would I do that if I am in the drive thru and placed my order for drive thru pickup.. then other barista girl with glasses told me today I can park out front and get out to get my drink. Girl be so fr rn why would I do that I ordered two drinks. What's the difference between ordering minutes in advance in the drive through and ordering at the screen... Employees are rude and give attitude for no reason. Don't come here if you are having a bad day unless you want to have a worse day lol read more
