I knew the minute that I walked in and saw the strange barista talking to herself and absolutely nobody else that my drink was not going be a good one. That plus the symphony of coughing from a homeless patron sitting in a booth were enough of a sign that I should leave. I, however, did not. I was correct in my assumption. It was the single worst matcha latte that I've ever had at a Starbucks. I asked for an extra scoop, but the drink tasted like warm milk. Very odd and disappointing experience altogether. read more

Convenient location if you frequent Las Olas Blvd or work in the area, but I just do not prefer the way they make their drinks. My go to order at any Starbucks is always brown sugar shaken espresso with toffee nut and that's all I've ordered from this location for myself. Most often, I order online and figured maybe that was the issue, but I realized that even when I ordered in person, it still tasted watery. I usually have to wait and ask someone for a straw and it may be because the inside gets busy but it would be good if they added some straws near the napkin areas to grab for ourselves. The main reason I visit this location is due to its walkability, but I may stick with my usual locations whenever I do go to Starbucks. I don't think it's horrible and it's a pretty cheerful environment, but i just wanted to leave my experience in case someone else may notice the same. read more

I have to leave another review of this Starbucks. It's now my favorite by far. This location is in the heart of las Olas so it's always busy. I go often and every time I go inside, it's clean. The employees are very nice and extremely attentive. They make drinks super fast and love dogs. Such good vibes inside and some seating is available. The restrooms have lock codes but are very clean. I always like Starbucks and when I am not in the mood for coffee I get the passion iced teas (no lemonade, no extra sugar). They have gender neutral bathrooms which is a good step in the right direction! They also have braille menus which is fabulous! You just can't hang out in the store- I sat down with my friend on their side couch, but they made us go outside. We asked someone if we could use the chairs from their table and moved them to the shade. I hope soon they allow you to sit in their stores! read more

After going into lots of Starbucks around the world, I decided to try to give this one on a corner near a good client a try. What a nice surprise. It's not perfect but it's well above average. Unlike many urban Starbucks, this one seems to have happy employees. They were smiling, efficient, and tactfully moved along the line (skipping the indecisive for the next in line "to give them time to decide"....hehe, love it!) The location is a little hidden in a porch-like alcove of a modern office building. It's a nice size for an urban office-area Starbucks. The clientele seems to be a mix of suits and tourists. read more

A little bummed this morning.. was really excited to try Starbucks' newest Frapp trending drink - Crystal Ball Frappuccino, but after ordering was a bit disappointed. I really like Starbucks rewards program, so this was a mobile order. According to the Starbucks official website the promotional drink is: A mystical, swirling peach infusion topped with peach flavored whipped cream, turquoise sprinkles and one of three different candy gems that reveal your fortune (not even your barista knows what your future holds). Order, gaze, then all will be told. And while we can't predict what your gems will reveal, we can tell you this drink is only here for a few short days. the website has a graphic that looks one way, after google searching other locations, you get a general idea of what your drink should look like (obviously not every drink will look the identical same but there are elements that should be consistent). I ordered: Grande, Crystal Ball Frapp with Extra whip. What i got: Venti, "crystal ball frapp" no extra whip. the whip on my drink was not flavored as the original description says. there were no turquoise sprinkles, nor candy ones. I got green sprinkles. barely any turquoise swirl that is depicted in any of the promotional graphics. Honestly, i felt like my drink was not carefully crafted like most other drinks are at Starbucks - a waste of $5.78! Not very impressed. I understand, that mornings are typically busier times for them, however, if they can take care in making all other drinks, i think mine should of been taken care of as well. i didn't even receive the correct sized drink. (And if the restaurant did not have the items i ordered, that would of been okay to, they could of delayed making my order till i arrived and informed me AND i could of adjusted my order as such). Last week we went to get coffee our regular Starbucks but after 40 min wait and only 1 out of 2 coffees I walked out. It happened to be the free holiday cup day. Bigger than most Starbucks, which is a plus. Nice location on las olas that's easy to get to if you walk and are parked close by. The first long table immediately to the right has 4 outlets if you plan to do work for a few hours like I did. I came in and got the spinach and feta egg white wrap with a nitro cold brew. The spinach and feta is microwaved but not too bad. It does the job and tastes good enough. The nitro cold brew is a smooth draft and strong flavor. When I asked about my coffee they then gave me the the third degree about whether I even had an order. Very disappointing since I spend so much time and money with them. This is my first time at this location, but since it was so close to my classes I thought why not? I am so glad I stopped in, the staff was definitely on top of things. So many smiles, making sure that everyone gets their order. The barista at the counter helped me choose a drink unfortunately I didn't like it, but she was so helpful and patient with me that I really appreciated her help. The other barista however really impressed me(Michael), I walked up to him and explained that I couldn't really drink it because it was too much going on for me to enjoy it. He quickly took down an alternate order for me which was just a regular iced small with cream and sugar. He made it for me on the spot with no complaints even though there was a line and they had other orders. Parking is limited. This used to be my work/office starbucks. It is nearly impossible to park during office hours. Well, what can I say, most Starbucks are at least consistent. The coffee they sell is usually good. But prices are also the same which means you'll pay almost $5 for a small latte. Customer service and store cleanliness are great. But I'd rather get my coffee at a local coffee shop of available or dunkin donuts. Lately dunkin donuts coffee beats Starbucks or is same quality. Also, this location is usually packed and very loud. I understand that dogs are welcome in this Starbucks. I accept that. This is downtown Lauderdale and people like to take their dogs everywhere. Usually there is a dog or two in the store. But the permissive approach has gotten way out of whack here. On Saturday there were several large dogs in the store that were barking and one growled and bared its teeth as my wife walked by. The Starbucks staff did nothing in face of a potentially unsafe situation. There is covered seating outside, very appropriate large dogs. And the Starbucks on Federal Hwy is probably more appropriate for me. read more
