Total sarcastic pride wearing barista with a shitty attitude. Yelling out in her baritone way that they "only have 4 employees because someone didn't show up!" Thanks, ingrate we all need to know about your "rough" day. Then outwardly complains about having a sweater on, that apparently was additional suppression on her freedom of expression. Received my sandwich, ate it. When I politely asked it about my Americano, I was met with an unfriendly "it's coming!" A Classic hire. Angst-ridden, smart-ass that feels the world owes her an apology for it having to live amongst us. It was my first time at this Starbucks and it went well. Only the drive thru was open due to the COVID-19 but that's alright because I rarely ever go inside a Starbucks. Stopped here as it is the first one off the highway 66 W. It's also open at 5:30 am. It's a beautiful store, clean, well stocked. Bathroom was clean and a changing table is good to see, as a grand parent/parent. Friendly baristas and our coffee was awesome!! read more

Ordered a drink on mobile. Watched the barista make it. Ordered a shot of expresso in the drink. Tasted it and it does not have a shot in it. Asked if a shot was put in the drink and was told yes. I watched them make the drink and then they lied. They offered a shot of expresso on the side, but that is useless with a frappachino. I don't want a straight expresso shot. I pulled up to the window after ordering my drink today and saw the employees living their own personal hell. Their card machines were down and I saw two employees actively trying to fix it. Alex handled my transaction and tried to ring me up any way he could but their machines were not working. I ran across the street and got money out of the atm. When I came back they were super friendly and accommodating. For having such a rough morning I applaud these employees for keeping such great attitudes and continuously giving great service. One of the newer model establishments--mostly drive-thru with a small interior. Doesn't strike me as a sit and study spot, but there were those making an effort at it and I applaud them. The interior is less warm than some, no overstuffed chairs by a fireplace, but minimal, clean and bright. Also a really good spot to stop for a drink, a snack, and a toilet before heading into Shenandoah. It seems many stop in for facilities without buying. They have the usual assortment of organic treats, which was great for us. I grabbed an iced coffee for the road. Took a little longer than usual, but that seems average for drive-thru joints (you can never tell where you are on line because you never know who is outside...). read more

Service sucks! Talk, talk, talk . . . took 15 Minutes to get a simple drip coffee. Where is the training Manager?

Drive thru line was obscenely long and the staff at the window was surly. We needed to have help with an amazon deal and her manager was definitely friendly, but she, she needs to go! Location is pretty close to the highway, but getting back onto the main road requires a weird rotary. Coffee was the norm, but i'd pick another location when i'm in the area. read more

Actually quite nice considering its off the interstate in a strip mall in Front Royal, VA. Tastefully decorated with art and dark woodwork, and most importantly comfy leather chairs. Many Starbucks have gotten rid of their comfy chairs, but this location has at least four and a couch. The wait staff is friendly enough. A little slow to get a single cup of brewed coffee, but they have a drive-thru that seems to have a steady stream even at 4pm in the afternoon. Knocking one star off for front of house and professionalism. Customers left crumbs and a mess all over a table and leather chair and in over 30 minutes, no one bothered to clean it. Half-and-half ran empty and no one was checking to see if they needed to be filled. Employees (or former employees) obviously come in off-duty based on the interaction with those working, and one of them made a mess rearranging the chairs and fooling around before her shift and again over 30 minutes later the chairs are all over the place and she's working behind the counter now. Seems like they're so focused on the orders that no one is minding the space out front. read more

Well, once again I have received the type of God AWFUL treatment from the obviously insane and out of control Starbucks staff that the latest NEWS STORIES recently represent! Luckily they did not write some racial slur on my cup or have me arrested for "waiting while black" or, the personal experience that I had at a SC Starbucks, where the manager called the police on me because my truck looked suspicious? Lol. What a JOKE!! I work as an OTR driver cross country and Ivisit "StarSchmucks" more regularly than I should anymore and, this experience may be one of my LAST! The Barista took my order, and all was going fine until I paid and realized, I had been given change for a $10 rather than the $20 I handed her. I also used a $5.95 app card balance which I still had and decided to use. After the attempt to have my change corrected, I STILL ended up being overcharged $5.00 ($5 bill) but this time the barista felt it was worth ARGUING with me over this and after it became evident that she was going to continue to argue and, rather then me make any further "Scene", I said "forget it" and informed her nicely that "You will see I am correct when the drawer is counted later", which the barista gave me that "Stank Face" look and that jerky look that begs to be smacked! I then proceeded to my truck when I became more annoyed over having to even attempt to argue with the manager and barista over such a small amount that I decided to call the corporate office in which they looked at the transaction on their computer and the situation and quickly found that I had indeed been overcharged like I already knew. The women on the phone was very responsive and respectful and assured me this matter will be brought to the regional manager and the parties involved. Sad that they would argue with a customer in front of other customers and in essence call me a liar, rather then just give me the lousy 5 dollars! I was a manager at a Wendy's for 5 years and NEVER would have kept my position if this happened at my store! I would have just given the amount in debate and not allow such an escalation and/or upset to a customer!! Maybe along with the "Anti-Bias" training that all Starbucks has recently had to provide its ignorant baristas lately, they should also provide them with "Customer Service" training as well and, NOT further damage a company that is in already in troubled waters!!! Shame on the Front Royal, VA Starbucks team for my undue treatment (you know who you are!) and TAKE NOTE, that some of us customers WILL speak out and, not allow poor treatment like this! Thank you to the corporate office for truly understanding that this experience was uncalled for and should have never escalated the way it did. Other than this my order was correct but I wish I had not left the tip I left, had I known what was about to happen. read more

I have visited this Starbucks about 5 times. I have decided to leave a review because I have been fairly impressed. They are very welcoming, and make you feel comfortable. The establishment has free wifi, clean bathrooms, and good coffee. They have messed up my order once, but they gave me a large drink free afterwards. I've been to dozens of Starbucks all over the country and I've only gotten ill afterwards twice--both from this Front Royal location! Last week, I stopped by for a soy latte about an hour into a 5 hour drive. At hour 3, I was throwing up by the side of the road. Fun! The same thing happened a couple of years ago. My theory is that they don't use as much soy in this location as others and it spoils before they finish a container. Please date your soy containers, Front Royal Starbucks!!! Service is hit or miss. Usually, when I go through the drive through, I will get a friendly cashier who asks how I'm doing and is quick to get my drinks to the window. There is often a wait but I don't get the impression that my drinks were made and left to sit out while I waited in line; they still look fresh (hot, whipped cream still intact, etc). However, if I ask for any sort of customization, I usually have to go back and ask them to fix something. When I go inside, I usually end up waiting a lot longer and one cashier in particular is (to quote another yelper) surly. She consistently looks miserable and is easily annoyed with customers. I have had to ask the person making drinks to redo things that have been improperly wrung up, which they do without hesitation, but it is never fun to go into a coffee shop for a relaxing visit and feel like I am imposing on the cashier. read more
