There's one lady that follows people around in the health and beauty section until they leave it or she convinces them to buy something so I try to avoid shopping when she's working, but everyone else is lovely. Shelves are usually well stocked, the produce and deli are great, the store is clean, and the prices are the best you're going to get in Purcellville. The pharmacy, I beg of you go literally anywhere else because they're wildly incompetent. My husband, like most Americans who do not work in healthcare or haven't cared for a chronically ill family member, is somewhat healthcare illiterate and placed his trust (unfortunately) in this pharmacy team. Our 7 y/o has the sniffles so he came into the store asking for Children's Sudafed (the real stuff, not the phenylephrine you can get from the regular aisles.) He was "helped" by Nichole who asked how old his baby was (since when is that age measured in YEARS) and after staring blankly at a shelf of medications, asked someone else for help. The person she asked for help NEVER came to speak to my husband but handed a box of pills to Nichole. My husband didn't even think to verify if it was pills or liquid because *Children's* Sudafed doesn't come in pills. We promptly returned to the store to return the incorrect medication we were sold and the person Nichole asked for help was, disturbingly enough, the pharmacy manager Honorine! Honorine proceeded to snap at us that my husband didn't specify liquid and seemed quite irritated that we were upset with HER med error. Marieta was pleasant in helping us and attempting to process our refund but when she could not, Honorine was called over and SHE had no idea what to do. If someone is a manager, you'd think they'd be able to handle a refund but Honorine continued to display her knowledge deficiency and impatience and had to call a key holder from the front end to handle the refund. Hannah arrived promptly and handled the return well with Marieta. If either Honorine or Nichole had simply said "Sorry, we don't carry/are out of stock/don't have Children's Sudafed," my husband and I could have moved in to another store but they were so greedy to make an unnecessary sale, they wasted everyone's time and energy while demonstrating a gross unprofessional conduct and ineptitude along the way. Thousands of fatal medication errors occur in the US annually and millions of non-fatal errors occur every month--I wonder how many come from this pharmacy. TLDR: Giant's great overall but I'd sooner drive to another state than EVER trust their pharmacy again, even with the simplest transactions. Of note, while some children as young as five or six can take pills with some coaching, it has not gone well with my child in the past and especially when she's got a sore throat, it would have been a lost cause. This Giant grocery store, however has a giant selection of wine. It's as big as the selection of olive oil, times three, in other stores. It does make a lot of sense, since this is Loudoun county, and wine and vineyards are the big attraction.

I use several Weis stores in the area and usually have no issues except with the Brunswick store. There is ALWAYS a problem. Fist time, when I got my groceries, two bags of groceries that I paid for were missing. I called the store and somehow the associate knew exactly what I was missing. He offered to have them ready for pickup in 510 minutes. I had to send my person over a second time. Then there was still about $20 of groceries missing so I complained on the corperate website. Generic E-mail from the assistant manager and there would be a $20 gift card for me that needed to be picked up in the store. Finally they agreed to mail it to me, very rude store manager and of course the gift card could only be redeemed in the store. Second time, when I got my groceries again there were groceries missing like eggs, but this time I was not charged for them so I let it go. Third time, I ordered online, 24 items and 7 items were missing. I had my person go in the store and all these missing items were available in the store. Complained to corporate again and this time no answer from the store at all. They don't seem to care at all. So if you rely on grocery pickup, do NOT order at thi store. Their pickup service is terrible and the store management could not care less and is rude. Go somewhere else.

This is one grocery store you must try. You may not like it but you need to discover for yourself…read moretheir prices and selection. We found this a great place to bargain shop for groceries. If you see a product you are interested in buying, and it comes in two or more different sizes, be sure to check the cost per ounce or unit because sometimes the small size is the better buy. If you have ever shopped in a military commissary you will look around and think you are at another commissary. On Saturday afternoons the inside store traffic is similar to Interstate traffic during the holidays. Now with that out of the way, back to the store and their products. Easy to locate this store located in a shopping center, with a traffic light to help traffic going in and out of the shopping center. The store is clean, uncluttered, and the shopping buggies are not those oversized monsters. Remember they are closed on Sundays and the rest of the days they are open 8am to 8pm. They do take credit cards and cash. Back to shopping. They do carry some national brand names. There is no self-check. When we checked out they had nine cash registers going. If the checkout line is long, don't worry, it will move along quickly. Their cashiers are very efficient. Whenever we are in Winchester, we plan to do some of our grocery shopping at Sharp Shopping before go to COSTCO. If you are in Winchester, do yourself a favor and give it a try. You may like it and you may not, but you need to know.

My cart was full, and I only spent around $130. Unfortunately, the customer service at the register was disappointing. While placing my groceries on the conveyor belt, I greeted the cashier three different times. She didn't respond, didn't make eye contact, and didn't acknowledge me at all. I even moved closer and said "hi" again, but still nothing. Another employee came over to help bag my groceries, and I also helped by placing the bags into my cart. After paying, I said "thank you," thinking maybe the cashier had a hearing issue. I repeated "Thank you, have a good day" loud enough for both employees to hear. She finally looked up but still didn't respond. I said "thank you" once more, and she eventually replied, but in a rude tone. She was working register #2 around 11:50am today (8/27). She didn't have a name tag, but my receipt shows the name Darlene B. I hope she receives coaching on greeting customers and providing basic courtesy. Every customer deserves respect, and front‑facing roles require professionalism. Experiences like this can impact whether people choose to return.
