I just wanted to share my morning because it was a very sweet reminder that there are still good people around. I made my way to Starbucks in Guilderland bc I have yet to set up internet at the new place. Figuring i could get some work done and throw stuff on my hard drive bc my icloud is full. I get there and realize I left the hard drive at home. Blunder #1 Mad at myself, I sit in the sun bc the spot I wanted was already taken. 10 mins in and the guy leaves so I go to snag it and end up dumping my entire drink on the floor like a grenade explosion. Blunder #2 .Embarrased, I immediately start franticly scooping it back into the cup. The guy sat next to me immediately takes the cup out of my hands, tells me it's fine, gets me the same drink and mops up the mess all while telling me to sit somewhere dry and he'd take care of it. NEVER has that ever happened to me. He smiled and said something about "hey it could be worse!" I believe he might have been the manager? I must have said "I'm sorry" and thanked him like 50 times. Then was trying to figure out the outlet set up as my computer started to die and the kind woman on the other side of me and the manager both helped me figure it out without making me feel like a buffoon. (Sarah thank you for your kindness and the 10 min chat today.) Then a barista came over and handed me a treat bag. On it, it read "hope your day gets better" and when I tell you I TEARED UP! Inside was a cake pop on the house. I really mean it when I say little gestures like that can change someones entire day around. It sure did for me. On Monday May 12 2025 my wife Went to Starbucks at 1475 western Ave in Guilderland NY. My wife got a Carmel frappe and about an hour and half after she drank it she got food poisoning. She fasted the night before for a Dr appt and on the way home she grabbed a carmel crunchy frappe. She drank it and about1 and half hours later she was feeling it. This place should be shut down. An $8 coffee with bad milk and or dirty equipment for a drink Now she is sick as fffff. I'm almost wondering if she got Ecoli it's that bad. Never again is she coming here and we might be calling our lawyer and the FDA to visit this place. read more

This location is closest to home but it takes forever to get an order - which is coffee with sugar. Staff are normally friendly enough but there never seems to be any hustle, like ever. If you're going here, make sure it's drive-thru or ordered WELL in advance. read more

Closed for any order. Everything had to go through drive up. We just wanted to sit inside and order actual food and coffee and all doors were locked. There were people eating at the tables, so that's a mystery. The line of cars was too long for the area and we saw a couple of near misses with accidents. Either close completely or find another way. I remember the excitement of this place opening a couple years ago, it was big news that Starbucks was coming to Guilderland. As far as a Starbucks, it is small. Some bar stools in the front window and a few tables and couches, plus a couple tables outside for nice weather. If you want to go work on a computer or meet and talk business or study, it is, in my opinion, too small and busy. The ambiance could be better and it is always busy there. Brand New Sbux in Hamiltion Plaza or 20 mall as most people still call it. It's pleasant. The staff was efficient and friendly. However, I can imagine that during the morning commute this location is hectic. I asked about it and the partners said it gets busy especially because of the drive thru. The lobby is comfortable with smaller tables and chairs. There are four cozy armchairs in the corner, which great for game and or reading time). When it's nicer out, there is a patio to sit at with they lovely view of the parking lot! Use your imagination if you need better scenery than what suburbia offers. And if you are Team Dunkin Donuts, there is one in Star Plaza. read more

I had to edit my review because I am sick of how slow this drive thru is. I understand that the line can get long, but it is literally always long and slower than a snail. I mean cmon its coffee and I just waited over HALF AN HOUR on the DRIVE THRU! The drive thru is suppose to be FAST. I will not return, I would rather go to the dunkin donuts next door or drive a little further for faster service. read more

Great coffee as always! I love their pumpkin spice latte, and other seasonal/holiday drinks. You really can't go wrong when you order one. I love how fast service is too. My pumpkin spice latte took less than two minutes to make, which I'm really grateful for. If you love to read books like I do, it's the perfect place to sit. I am a frequent customer at Starbucks and typically have a great experience. Not today. Today I went to this Starbucks with my 2 friends in the drive thru. We needed 3 separate orders as we were all paying separate. The women on drive thru, Kate, yelled at us that we were making her job hard. She practically dropped our drinks into my lap and then slammed the window shut on us without saying good-bye. She always is nice in the drive thru when you get there but today this showed to me that she is not as nice as she seems. read more

This is hands down the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I'm not even sure it can be called a Starbucks. They do not have real baristas...jut a bunch of pimply, snarky teenagers who don't know how to pour shots or make the drinks correctly. To make things worse, when you try and tell them your 6$ drink doesn't taste the way it should, they argue and exchange stupid looks with each other and don't have a clue how to fix it. I have been drinking Starbucks for 17 years, I know exactly how my drink is supposed to taste. I have been to Starbucks all over the country and this one is a joke. Its on my way to work and normally I would stop every morning but I don't bother because I can make it better myself at home. Also, they NEVER have the long line way out of the parking lot that most other Starbucks around the country have in the morning. I wonder why! Whoever owns this place; fire everyone and start over.
