Dear Starbucks Corporate and Store Manager, I want to bring to your attention a disappointing experience I recently had at this Starbucks. I've been a loyal customer for years, often spending a great deal here purchasing drinks for my wife, who loves trying the new menu items. I share this because I want to be clear -- I value Starbucks and would like to continue being a customer. During this visit, I asked for a simple order: a cup of water and two pup cups. I was told that pup cups required a purchase, which I completely understood. However, when I asked for just water, I was also told that I had to buy something. Wanting to understand the policy better, I went inside and politely asked if this was a new policy and if I could see it in writing. The young man who identified himself as the manager first attempted to show me something on a tablet. When I explained that I would like to see it posted somewhere in the store, we checked together -- and found no such policy listed. At that point, he told me: "You're not getting anything until you buy something." I want to be clear: I was not upset about the policy itself. I was upset about how it was handled. Instead of a respectful explanation, I was met with a dismissive attitude. The manager walked away mid-sentence, gave me a "thumbs up," and even redirected me to someone else, saying "Don't worry, he'll tell you the same thing." This type of response was unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessary. I left without issue, but I did so feeling disrespected -- not as a customer who has spent a lot of money here, but as a person simply asking for clarification. Policies may change, and I respect that, but customers should be treated with courtesy and professionalism when they have questions. I am not looking for compensation or special treatment. What I am asking for is acknowledgment that the way this interaction was handled did not reflect the customer service standards that Starbucks is known for. I would like reassurance that situations like this will be handled with more respect and professionalism in the future. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I hope to continue being a loyal customer of Starbucks -- but I also hope to see improvement in how policy questions are handled by store leadership. read more

The staff at this location are always incredibly kind and attentive. I'm not a morning person and I don't think I ever will be, but having a good iced coffee and a smile in the morning definitely helps. read more

During a recent visit to this Starbucks, my friend and I interacted with unprofessional and rude behavior from the cashier named Maddie. When my friend was politely placing her order, the cashier interrupted with a sarcastic "Can you?" which was completely unnecessary. When it was my turn to order, she laughed while taking it, which felt mocking rather than friendly. The whole interaction was uncomfortable and far from the standard of service we expect from Starbucks. The drink was amazing and other workers were helpful besides the one cashier. read more

Extremely upset with this service. Ordered my food ahead of time and had to wait for 30 MINUTES to get it. All I got was a tea and a bagel. Unbelievable. I consider myself a very patient person, who gives grace to customer service workers. However, this is just ridiculous. There was not a single soul in the store either. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I e never been so thrilled with the quality and service at a Starbucks in my whole life. I pulled into the driveway this afternoon for a decaf caramel Frappuccino as well as a turkey pesto panini(I was starving lol). The panini was just as warm as the sweet young woman who accepted payment for my order at the window, and my Frappuccino was PERFECT. The ice to coffee ratio was spot on, just enough whip and it wasn't drowned in caramel. I'll be back to this location without question. The parking lot and exterior are very clean and it's very easy to access from Short Pump mall being that it's right behind Matchbox restaurant. Highly recommended if you're driving by or if you're finishing up a day of shopping at the mall. read more

Amazing customer service. I went through the drive thru and the service was fantastic. Not only was my drink delicious (peppermint mocha frapp), but the barista saw my two dogs in the car and offered them pup cups! As if it couldn't get better, she gave a small cup for my Boston terrier and a medium sized cup for my medium sized Aussiedoodle! This lady deserves a raise! read more

Typically, I don't write reviews unless something is either really bad or really good. Well, this Starbucks has time and time again not given me my drink the way I ask for it. I always come to this Starbucks after the gym because of the convenience. I'm crystal clear when I tell the person who takes my order that I would like a Venti Café Misto with skim milk, 3 Splenda and if they could please make the milk to coffee ratio 90% coffee and 10% milk. The person taking my order hears me clearly as they repeat back the order just as I have stated it and it even appears on the screen. Every time I leave this Starbucks, they negate to add any Splenda, so I end up with something I can't drink and I'm already half way down the road. This tells me that the barista must be pretty lazy that they can't even put 3 Splenda packets in a cup. This is infuriating because this happens EVERY time. Today, I tried the coffee before I left the drive thru, burning my tongue, and sure enough, no Splenda! I handed it right back to the cashier and told him there was no Splenda. He did put add 3 packets and then handed me a cup with coffee and foam sliding down the side. What is going on? I pay for a product and I can't even get what I pay for and I get a messy cup in return. You guys need to shape up and have more attention to detail. read more

I've been coming here for years and usually have a great experience. Yet the last handful of times I've been to this place, there is a girl at the drive thru with brown hair, green eyes (wears her hair in a ponytail) that consistently gets my order wrong, and then gives me this smug attitude when I ask for my drink made right. She is incredibly rude. I ask for lite ice every time I order my drink, and any other Starbucks, no problem. This girl fills my cup with ice EVERY TIME. I understand mistakes, but her rude look and attitude is what I do not understand. Every other employee there has been fine. I'll never come back to this location and spend my money again. A good Starbucks with decent service. I always get a venti iced Americano and to keep it from being bitter, you brew the shots, add room temperature water then ice. I've been to some Starbucks where the put the ice in and brew the coffee over the ice and you get a horribly bitter drink that way. Gosh I sound like a snob but I'm not...I just can't drink bitter coffee. Anyway, this Starbucks is consistently good. read more

This a great location for those who work remotely or need a quite coffee shop vibe. It is not too busy but I think they are more busier with the drive thru service. They have ample amount of work space both large and small tables are available with outlets nearby each. Friendly staff with quick and consistent service. read more

I had a pretty good experience in this Starbucks! While there were people in line and the drive-thru, the Starbucks employees still seemed very pleasant and responsive to the customers inside (this isn't always the case). The only frustration is the parking lot. There is a large fence up (for construction?) that prohibits you from using the additional parking spaces. There were very few left and it wasn't the best situation because I basically backed out of my space into the drive-thru line -- If you visit this location, it will make more sense! read more

There are many Starbucks in the Short Pump area, but this one has the staff that brightens my morning the most. I especially enjoy chatting with the folks at the drive-thru window. Occasionally, I find that one of my drinks is incorrect, often after I've driven away. But this remains my favorite Starbucks in the area. read more

I return to this Starbucks regularly because of its convenience. Overall, the service is slower than average. I have had many a messed up drink. I do, however, appreciate their friendliness, particularly when I stay around to do some homework or catch up on emails. read more
