We were looking for a coffee when we were in the Short Pump area in the morning and Foxtail was a good option that didn't feel like a big chain which was nice. The decor and style of the store was really cool with art on the walls and wooden features. I was greeted by one of the baristas and he was super friendly and fast with getting our orders out. I got an iced mocha and my husband got a regular hot latte. He was very happy with his and had no complaints. Mine tasted a little more bland/weak coffee wise than I was hoping for. Over all though it was pretty good. It wouldn't my top choice of coffee but I'm glad I tried it and have it as an option in the Short Pump area.

Foxtail thrives in the world of Short Pump chains. Their coffee is quite tasty, service is prompt, and they offer indoor and outdoor seating options. I ordered the cafe con leche on my last visit, which was quite good. I've also had some of their pastries; hit or miss I'd say. Prices are on par with what you'd experience elsewhere. They also have charging stands, which is nice! Note it is a very popular spot, so sometimes a hunt for seats is needed.

This place is so cute!! I love the overall design and aesthetic of the interior. Even thought it's a new building, there's a rustic vibe with wood trim and the ceiling style. The staff were very friendly and there were cute design elements throughout. We loved their wall of dog photos supporting Richmond animal care and control (RACC).

Stopped in first thing in the morning with a group of 8. Staff was friendly and ready to assist. An assortment of breakfast sandwiches and drinks were ordered and the staff had them out quick. My cold brew was great, roast was on the lighter side, but smooth and flavorful. I'd definitely come back to try some additional items.

It's nice to have other options for coffee but the espresso was pretty bitter the first time I tried it. When I got an Americano a few days later, it was so much better. I'd like to come back to try some baked goods. Prices seem reasonable and there are plenty of options. They also serve wine and beer. We got sparkling wine to enjoy while sitting outside. Felt like the cafe lifestyle I enjoy when traveling to Europe. With our weather lately it was perfect!

I would not have known Foxtail Coffee was a chain based on our experience! The shop felt local. They have a "Pup Board" where they take Polaroid pictures of dogs and donate $5 per picture to Richmond Animal Care and Control. There is some seating inside though it can be crowded during peak hours. They also have a decent amount of seating outside, most of which is in shade. I'm not a huge coffee drinker so their espresso description graphic is super helpful at explaining the difference between drinks. I tried the matcha tea latte and loved it - it came sweetened and had a vibrant color. They also have baked goods, gelato, and beer & wine.

Cute little coffee shop with a ton of different breakfast sandwiches, pastries, etc. I tried the iced strawberry chai and despite my initial concern after seeing the color of the drink, I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and ambience was bustling - people were chatting with their friends, some were working on laptops, and so on. You can tell it's very popular with folks local to short pump, and one of the only few in the area with such an extensive menu, ample seating, and a nice atmosphere

Delicious coffee, easy parking, friendly staff. My mom and I stopped in for an afternoon snack before driving home (her to Staunton and me to Va Beach) after meeting up mid-way for lunch on a Saturday. We arrived around 6pm and there was no line, staff were super friendly and attentive, and we ordered some tea, gelato, banana bread and coffee. The banana bread was soft and delicious and my latte was wonderful and full-flavored. I like a strong coffee and this is exactly what that was. The inside is beautiful and I love the decor - some instagram worthy areas for sure and classy design with two clean bathrooms and a baby changing station (important right now). There is a connected free parking garage and some lots and street parking - this is a very walkable area and there are tons of other shops and things to do here and a small park.

A really cute coffee shop and I love all of the fox items around. Not a lot of seating inside and they have one long high top table that takes up a lot of space and several four tops. I was a little surprised there weren't more two tops. My friend and I felt bad taking a four top when it was just us two. I'm sure they know their customers and have it set up appropriately. They have seating on their outside patio if the weather is nice. I ordered a coffee and was disappointed to see that all of their coffees are served in disposable cups. Besides the waste issues, I prefer a nice coffee cup when I visit.

Love the stylish print on their cups

Love this coffee shop! Right in the heart of Short Pump. Plenty of parking on the street or in the parking garage nearby. This shop is so cute & offers plenty of seating. The coffee here is delicious. I treated myself to my favorite, an oat milk latte. Hot & frothy! Yum

Came twice for coffee and this time got breakfast too! They have so many wonderful options to customize your drinks. First time I got a cold brew with sugar free vanilla cold brew. This time my husband got a cappuccino and I got the iced pumpkin spice latte with skim milk. Service was fast and friendly. The inside is so cozy too. Plenty of seating inside and outside even on a busy Sunday morning.

I always love trying new to me coffee shops. The decor is super cute here. There is a good amount of free street parallel parking out front and nearby. There were also a lot of seating options available which is nice. I loved all the natural lighting that spilled in the space. It was a bit busy when we came and it is a newer spot. I ordered a croissant egg ham cheese, bagel sausage egg cheese, and a latte. My partner ordered some holiday latte. We enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches. They reminded me a little of the Starbucks kind where it's prepackaged then heated, which I never mind. The sandwiches were a great way to start the day. As for the coffee, we unfortunately didn't finish drinking them. It felt like it wasn't mixed properly or maybe was too artificial with the wrong portions. I'd be curious to return to give the drinks a second chance.

So, if you're looking for a new spot for studying/co-working and don't mind a little background noise, this is a good spot for that. I love the walkable accessibility, but remember this is short pump, so don't expect parking. The coffee....meh I prefer my fave local coffee shops. I had a latte and I tasted mostly milk & water. I'd love to learn more about how they source their beans; perhaps there's more flavors in other blends. My friend's matcha was really good, though. The chocolate croissant is cute...It's no Parisian cafe, but it's a great balance of chocolate and pastry. I'd say the service is pretty on par with the area, no complaints.

They have a very limited menu at lunch so you have a few appetizers to choose from, a few salads and sandwiches and burgers, so straight up American food. It does skew southern with crab cake sandwich, pimento cheese and fried chicken. For an appetizer we decided to try the wings. They were good and came with ranch drizzled over the wings. For entrees my husband got their farm & oak burger with Cole slaw and I got their wedge salad with fried chicken. Both were good. The salad was nice and cold and crisp, which was appreciated on such a hot day. It did have too much dressing so next time I might ask for less dressing or have it on the side. I enjoyed the food, service was good and it is a pretty restaurant. I'll probably come back for supper some time to try some of their more in-depth meals.

It was my first visit, and I was genuinely impressed with the ambiance, service, and overall quality of the meal. The menu offers a nice variety of food and cocktails. I ordered the espresso martini, which was smooth and well balanced, and my boyfriend had the Vieux Carré, which he really enjoyed. We started with the cast iron goat cheese, and it was rich, layered in flavor, and paired with bread that was delicious on it's own. For my entrée, I chose the margherita pizza, and it was one of the best I've had. The sauce was perfect, and the crust had an ideal texture and flavor. My boyfriend ordered the spicy sausage & black pepper honey pizza. While neither of us found it particularly spicy, it was still bold and very flavorful. Service was friendly and efficient throughout the evening. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I'm looking forward to returning.

When we first walked in, the place was pretty crowded, but we were able to grab a couple spots at the bar and figured we'd settle in for a good night. That's where things went sideways. The bartender appeared to be the only one working, and while I understand being busy, the attitude and behavior were honestly shocking. Every interaction felt aggressive. Remotes getting slammed around. Napkins and pens tossed onto the counter. Water being splashed onto the floor like a toddler throwing a tantrum. The entire atmosphere at the bar felt tense and uncomfortable. It got to the point where we almost felt awkward ordering anything because every request seemed like it was ruining their night. At one point another couple sat down next to us and almost immediately started looking around like, "is this really happening right now?" I actually ended up warning them that no, they weren't imagining it, and that it had been our experience the entire time too. That alone should tell you how uncomfortable the atmosphere was. Which is unfortunate because the kitchen actually did their part. The food was good. Really good. But good food only carries a place so far when the service makes you want to leave before the meal even arrives. I've worked in and around hospitality long enough to understand busy nights happen. But there's a huge difference between being overwhelmed and taking it out on customers. Tazza Kitchen has the food figured out. Now they just need the front of house experience to match it.

Usually this place has a line but with other breakfast restaurants opening in the area, I think the crowds have spread out to different brunch/breakfast places. We ordered coffee and were brought water. The coffee is good. I can drink it black, no problem. They should sell the beans! I've been trying to eat healthier so got their gracious goodness breakfast, which was made with egg whites, spinach, mushrooms, feta, onions and tomatoes. It's served with either grits or hash browns and toast. I got my toast without butter. My husband got an omelet that had sausage, veggies, potatoes, etc. it came with the same sides options and he chose girls, and toast. When my egg white omelet showed up it was swimming in butter. You can see how much if you look at the picture. So much for being healthy. The toast was barely toasted and the potatoes were lukewarm and tasted like they've bit sitting in a box in the walk-in for too long. They weren't crispy either. I didn't eat the potatoes and only ate half of the omelet. I also had a side of corned beef hash because it's one of my favorites. My husband said his omelet was just okay. Next time we go for breakfast we will probably go somewhere else. I know the Eggs Up Grill where I grew up closed (it was in Mt Pleasant SC).
