Best coffee ever!!! Cute little coffee shop that has quickly become my go to. Love that there is lots of parking and a patio to sit outside, or you can have a car picnic if that's not for you. They do sell out of pastries but that means they're worth getting there earlier for!

Pistachio Turkish coffee and a Carmel apple cruffin
    Michele S.

Customer service was very awesome, I got there a little late the day so their choices for food were a little less than normal but the caramel apple Cruffin I got was amazing. And Turkish coffee was very strong and very good run. Don't walk to try this place highly recommend.

Bare Knuckle Espresso Beans, Browned Butter Chocolats Chip Cookie Latte, and Turkish Delight Latte
    Grace W.

The location is a little out of the ways from the main shopping center, but there's plenty of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They don't have any indoor seating but they have plenty of outdoor seating in the form of picnic benches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a decaf Browned Butter Chocolate Chip specialty latte and a decaf Turkish Delight and a bag of Bare Knuckle beans to try later. Note: they have a discount if you pay in cash! Unfortunately the service wasn't great as they left us hanging at the ordering counter for payment and also messed up our drink order with the person behind us, so we ended up having to wait ~10 minutes. We started off by trying the cookies on top of the drink. The chocolate chip cookie was INCREDIBLY good - soft yet chewy and perfectly flavored. The pistachio cookie was also delicious as well. Their pastries and cookies were really unexpectedly good. Unfortunately the coffee was disappointing. I was expecting more of the flavor that was advertised to be stronger in the drink and it just tasted like...coffee. There wasn't anything special about it. Overall, the service was a little all over the place and the coffee itself was disappointing. I would come back to try their pastries and cookies, but wouldn't recommend their specialty coffee if you're looking for something special.

    Breakfast biscuit

My favorite go-to for all things local coffee and good breakfast on the go. I love that they offer a variety of blends, these really don't miss. My favorite part is absolutely their pink boxes for breakfast biscuits, and the service. May be sure to tip these young ladies because they are always eager to serve and super helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love this location because you can eat outside on a nice sunny day and the walk up or drive-up makes for a great grab and go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Honestly, both locations are superb, this local spot does not miss

    Seasonal snickerdoodle latte and cookie
    Francine S.

If you're looking for an elevated latte that's a whole experience in itself, then Ironclad is the place for you. I frequented the Shockoe Bottom location in undergrad and grad school, so I was excited to see there is an additional location in the Short Pump now that I have relocated to the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While I'm a little disappointed that there is no indoor seating, I understand given the nature of the building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drive through option, of course, almost makes up for it, and I've found that the service has been consistently strong as well. That being said, you will have to shell out a few extra bucks than a drink at a chain shop, but the quality and experience mostly makes up for the slight price differential. I recommend the snickerdoodle latte/cookie as a sweet treat this season. Cheers!

Iced Coconut & Dark Chocolate Cookie Milk Latte
    Jordan B.

After driving home from D.C. and halfway home I saw a drive-thru local coffee shop and thought "Oh I have to try that" because it's not too often that local coffee shops have a drive-thru attached. The lady in the drive-through was super sweet and gave me a quick rundown of all their Lattes and I ultimately settled on ordering an iced coconut and dark chocolate cookie milk latte, that comes with a cookie on top since cookie milk Lattes are one of their specialties. It was the perfect balance of sweet and strong; I'd definitely order another one. All in all, Ironclad provided a nice little road trip coffee break away from the usual Starbucks or Dunkin. I'm a firm believer that more local coffee shops should have drive-thurs in them!

A tiramisu croissant...yes plz!!! Amazingly good and definitely shareable. It was $9 but worth it

    Turkey bacon egg and cheese
    Krystal K.

I love Ironclad, but this was my first time at this location! This location has a drive through and a walk up window. I got a turkey bacon egg and cheese sandwich. They have the sandwiches on a warmer ready to go which I was skeptical about, but man it was delicious!!! The cheese was oozing, the egg was plentiful, and the croissant was flakey yet moist. We got two of the signature winter coffees that came with bonus cookies. Yum!!!! Every single coffee I order is divine. This time we went with a peppermint mocha and an espresso drink that had a taste similar to a coffee version of a Mexican hot chocolate.

    Cappuccino
    Melanie C.

Cappuccino was perfect. Iced latte was too sweet for our taste. One bite of the croissant can definitely hold you over as it's extremely rich. Biscuit was fine but appeared to be premade and reheated. Location is walk up similar to a Bruster's. There are picnic tables for people to sit.

The London Fog is great and so is the cinnamon bun pastry. There are multiple stores but my favorite is the one at the old fire station.

The coffee here isn't just good -- it's correct. The grind, the heat, the cardamom -- everything is dialed in with the kind of care you only get from people carrying a tradition, not following a recipe. The basbusa is outstanding -- house-made, fresh, with that perfect syrup-to-semolina balance so many places get wrong. Best I've had in years. Can't wait to try their kunafa next. What really sets Fairuz apart is the atmosphere. This is a family-owned spot and you feel it the second you walk in. The hospitality is genuine -- that "sit down, you're home now" energy you can't manufacture. If you're Middle Eastern and homesick, come here. If you've never had real Turkish coffee, come here. If you just want somewhere that feels human and unhurried -- come here. Fairuz didn't just meet my standards. It raised them.

The only thing for me is that it feels a little like a nighttime vibe but it only sells bakery goods and coffee type drinks. We were the only ones there, so it felt almost too big. They have a pool table, which was surprising and I wasn't sure if we could use that. One other couple came after a bit. I think if it were full, it would have been really nice. Husband got a double espresso and I ordered an Americano. His was in a cute cup, but mine was in a to-go cup with a lid. Since we were sitting in, I would have preferred a nice mug. We ordered a few pastries to bring home. I presume it was the owner working and he was very welcoming. He was cleaning the entire time (9am ish). On the positive, the place looks spotless. I did feel it was a little odd to mop while open and in the morning. The chocolate pastry in this picture was 10/10 for me, so good! It had so much flavor and texture with chocolate, pistachio and maybe some caramel. Would definitely go back, particularly to get items to take home.

Usually this place has a line but with other breakfast restaurants opening in the area, I think the crowds have spread out to different brunch/breakfast places. We ordered coffee and were brought water. The coffee is good. I can drink it black, no problem. They should sell the beans! I've been trying to eat healthier so got their gracious goodness breakfast, which was made with egg whites, spinach, mushrooms, feta, onions and tomatoes. It's served with either grits or hash browns and toast. I got my toast without butter. My husband got an omelet that had sausage, veggies, potatoes, etc. it came with the same sides options and he chose girls, and toast. When my egg white omelet showed up it was swimming in butter. You can see how much if you look at the picture. So much for being healthy. The toast was barely toasted and the potatoes were lukewarm and tasted like they've bit sitting in a box in the walk-in for too long. They weren't crispy either. I didn't eat the potatoes and only ate half of the omelet. I also had a side of corned beef hash because it's one of my favorites. My husband said his omelet was just okay. Next time we go for breakfast we will probably go somewhere else. I know the Eggs Up Grill where I grew up closed (it was in Mt Pleasant SC). The difficulty in franchise restaurants is the quality control. This Eggs Up might be suffering from the same thing. I hope the owner pays more attention to food quality This was just an okay breakfast for me. I don't know that I'd order the same
