When the need for coffee arises, Starbucks is wherever you want to be. They have created a business model where they have the coffee available when you need it and where you need it! The Kamehameha Shopping Center location is no different and serves up the brew that you have come to expect of any of its locations. So why only the 3-star "a-ok" review? Well, when you compare this particular location to the others in the chain, it doesn't really stand out for any particular reason nor does it really disappoint. Starbucks is starbucks wherever you go and the menu is what you come to expect and the baristas are good at keeping the line moving and serving up the beverage you have come to enjoy. Is it extremely quick? No. Is it extremely great? no. But they serve up that coffee cup that you need. The store features a decent amount of inside and outdoor seating so that you have a choice on a good or bad weather type of day to enjoy what mood you might be in. Plus with a lot of parking in the center, it can be pretty easy to get in and out. They do have a few 30 minute stalls right in front of the shop. It really is just another starbucks. I was sweet/caffeine deprived for the past few months so i had to make it up somehow. This is my 3rd time in row coming here! I like coming to this location because it's near my house. This location makes the best iced green tea latte! some places are either too sweet, too milky, too icy and some doesn't even have much taste to it! Whenever I order the grtl here, it's always made perfectly. This place is also very clean and comfortable to be at. I can actually stay here for hours to study and do homework or talk for hours with friends. This is the Starbucks I frequent most since it is closest to work. I usually get my fix from here, and I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes. Staff is quick, friendly, and has never messed up my order. Drinks are pretty consitent. Other SB's sometimes make my drink either too sweet or not sweet at all, even though I order it the same way all the time. Parking is abundant, but just don't go when Kam Schools gets out. Too many kids loitering, walking in the parking lanes without looking, causing traffic to slow. read more

This Starbucks is located in the Kamehameha Shopping Center. Very convenient location for me being that I live up the valley and my work places is still in the Kalihi area. The facility is always kept clean and the staffs are very friendly. I've always tried to remember their names but I can't lol. It's amazing though that when I some of them remembered my order. I went to the SB at Moanalua shopping center yesterday and had the caramel brulee frappachino for the first time! It was amazing! So creamy and delicious, I was ready for another one today. Excited to have my new found favorite drink, I went to the nearest SB. I ordered my drink and once it finally came out, I excitedly took a sip! ..... and another....and another. Thinking I got the wrong order, I asked the worker there, and he confirmed for me it WAS my drink. ......I was so DISAPPOINTED. The drink was bland with very little flavor of the sweet caramel. The frappachino just tasted like burnt coffee , blended with a lot of ice. I don't know how they do with their other drinks, but I recommend for you to go to a different SB for the caramel brulee frappachino. The extra drive WILL be worth it. read more

@ KAMS SHOPPING CENTER : THE WAIT IS TERRIBLE! I HAD TO WAIT FOR OVER HALF AN HOUR FOR ONLY 2 DRINKS! 2 DRINKS ONLY! This Starbucks is the best, very nice and friendly atmosphere, I would definitely come back here time and time again. Never really been a big coffeee fan but coming here has definitely changed my mind. I had a Caramel Macchiato and it was an amazing pick me up. This starbucks is kept clean and organized. It is able to accomadate a crowd and the wait is not too long. The staff is a little quiet and not so customer friendly. They are not as vibrant as other starbucks locations I've been too. I really enjoyed the latte macchiato which she recommended. I came here because my nephew wanted jamba next door. Overall, I got my coffee fix and the line wasn't long. I just wish they smiled and seemed more excited to be working. They can get busy in the morning, but they move quick. I get my daily fix here before school every morning. Everyone's very nice and the place is convenient. There's a lot of parking so don't really need to worry about that. I usually do phone orders, which is so much faster. I park, walk inside, ask for my order, and BAM I'm out. Love it! read more

Not that easy to get a table or a seat here in the morning. However the wifi seems slightly above average for a starbucks, but also like most starbucks, sometimes is lagging. Seems like it gets less crowded after 6:30pm on weekdays. There's a old crazy lady that randomly comes in throughout the afternoon and night and almost gets in customers faces. Thats the main drawback of this location. Despite that, they still give her cups of ice water. That's cool. Also cool, I accidentally left forgot my sunglasses, and later that afternoon, I was able to pick it up from the counter because one of the customers found and reported it. Cool, I really like that pair of sunglasses. USEFUL WIFI TIP: If the wifi is too slow, go to your browser settings and disable automatic loading of pictures. This will dramatically speed up your web browsing and make it much more bearable when its lagging, as well as use less bandwidth and help others. If I go into a starbucks and get what I want I'm a happy camper. The three things I enjoy the most are: iced venti non fat chai - i prefer the tazo boxed as opposed to the powders other places use. pair this with either pumpkin bread or a cream cheese pumpkin muffin and you are in fall heaven. ask for extra pumps if you like your chai strong. the non-fat milk gives it a less filling flavor and so it enhances the food you eat with it. salted caramel hot chocolate - heaven. i love it when they bring this back. there really is no way to describe it that would do it justice. just go try one. sausage breakfast sandwich - sausage mcmuffin but done better. it's not fresh but then again i guess toasting anything lets burnt crispness taste "fresh" again. read more

I have to say that I still get the same experience since my first review of this place. Pleasant and the baristas here are all friendly and helpful. I order the same drinks from different Starbucks and this place is the only one who gets the mixes right. Whichever one of my favorite Starbucks drink mixes I order, they make it taste perfect each time - It does not matter which one of the baristas made my order... well mostly the one that works in the afternoon, since that's the time I usually hang out here. Points for this 'Bucks-- 1. CLEAN. 2. Not as many itinerant customers as other branches (e.g. Ward, Kapahulu). Not that it's bad that those other Sbuxes let houseless folk hang there for long periods. Just makes it a little tough on us paranoid-ish germaphobes. [People with houses can be unclean, too, I know.] This place gets mostly business people, workers and professionals, and students. 3. Bathroom is tidy; no combo needed to open it (yet). 4. Customers are polite and don't mind sharing (electrical outlets, table space, etc.). VERY LOCAL in the best way. Fairly good turnaround on many of the tables, though yes, there are those who park there and stay for hours, like other Sbuxes. 5. Good service. Fun staff. Not lazy; they know they're there to work. But seem to have a good time doing it. 6. Big-ass community board where you can write stuff in color pens they provide--mostly signatures, cute messages, and sketches. They've postedbasic rules about keeping it safe and non-profane. 7. Covered parking close by. FREE. 8. LOTS of good convenient shopping nearby. Get your roast duck/pork/etc. hot and oily from Times. Buy a whole play/night outfit for under $20 at Jeans Warehouse. Go to Honu Bakery and eat great Korean pastries (not overly sweet), then stare at the BIZARRO Hello Kitty head cakes (yep, cakes in the shape of Hello Kitty's head). Go Longs.
