This is a small location with metered parking in front of the store. There are a couple of tables and I spotted a book basket drop off basket (love it) to exchange books. Before work, from now on, I'm going to be driving past two other Starbucks to go to this place. The people here went above and beyond for me yesterday. I was having a blood sugar crisis, and so they fixed me something to drink that wasn't on the menu, but was what I needed to bring up my sugar. Later, when I had decided I needed a ride home instead of biking, but my phone was being cranky, they helped me call a ride. All through it they were kind and respectful. This morning I was happily going into Starbucks excited to get my strawberry açaí with light lemonade, I placed it mobile and when I walked in I only had to wait for a few minutes, when I received my drink it was all lemonade with a tiny bit of pink. Since I payed nearly $8 for it I asked the worker to remake it, when she did I practically got the same drink and it tasted like water down lemonade. I was upset because I love getting these drinks but the times I have been to this location they have not met up to regular standards. I will not be back and I hope they can finally start making the drinks to recipe. read more

This Starbucks is located close to home. The service as always been fairly fast for me too which is great! The best part is the walk up window! My pup is always walking a pup cup when we walk by and it's really easy to get one bc of the window thankfully! There's a place to sit and wait for the order which is super convenient. I've only ordered inside once. It was still fast. It was definitely busy and there wasn't a lot of space to stand and wait for the order, but overall the wait wasn't too bad. And there was a lovely gentleman calling out orders as they were placed on the counter. No complaints on my experiences here so far! read more

Love the location on Mass Ave, but the service here is always spotty. They had four people behind the counter so I couldn't figure out why it took over five minutes to give me a brewed coffee. It was already made and just needed pumped from the pot to the cup. The barista had the personality of a wart on a frog. She's wearing a mask but wouldn't speak up so had to keep asking her to repeat. She appeared to be asleep with her eyes open. Working with all of that caffeine I think would present an opportunity to stay awake. read more

i was at this restaurant today and had breakfast. While paying the check I was asked how it was I said the hash browns were not done. The reply I received was shocking and unprofessional. I was told I didn't know what what the fuck I was talking about ......from the owner. You obviously don't understand when you order hash browns well done doesn't mean more than half of the hash browns are raw. I used to go because wait staff are pleasant and service is good. You have lost a customer over your owner not accepting criticism only when asked. If you do t want to know don't ask. read more

This is the best Starbucks in downtown. Service is speedy even during rush hour and the employees somehow manage to always have a positive energy. Most importantly, they ALWAYS get my drink and the ratios perfect. The only downside is that there are so few tables to sit at; I'd love to spend a whole WFH day here. read more

This is an appreciated location ha. Until recently, it was the only coffee place on Mass Ave. During summer months they have a walkup window. I've had to work here many times and it's pleasant. They have done amazing things here! They have plenty of staff to make your orders hot and fast. There are markers on the floor to help practice social distancing. There is someone who prepares and bunches orders for people to come pick up. We ordered inside and then picked our stuff up pretty quickly. Hmmm, Going into this Starbucks was a sad disappointment. I ordered plain Passion tea, but they made me a green tea. No big deal. A chain - I know, I know. I can't help but be a fan of Starbucks - I would pick the local coffee shop (particularly Henry's and Clavin Fletcher) any day over Starbucks, but in the same breath I wouldn't bash Starbucks like I would other big chains like Walmart. Somehow this ginormous business (at least the ones I have visited and especially the Mass Ave location) has achieved a small town-feel with friendly employees despite its big world reality. Some may consider it a marketing stunt, but I can't help but smile every time I see their "Create Jobs for USA" program. This particular location was remodeled and expanded during the summer of 2012. From time to time, you might find me on their spacious patio people watching and working on one of my latest paint-by-number "masterpieces". My visits to Starbucks are few and far between, but the caramel apple chai never fails to do the trick! read more

Ahh yes, the "local" coffee shop. I think as far as Starbucks go, this one is much more cramped and feels a little dirty everytime I go in it. I would definitely recommend going to the one of the two near monument circle--I tend to have a better experience there. Pro: You can have a place to sit and hang out while you are waiting to get a table at Bru! Also, the service here is always great! Cons: It is just a low tier 'bucks. Not a place I would go out of my way for--especially when there are places like Coat Check Coffee close by. read more

I live about a 60 second walk from this Starbucks, so I generally place a mobile order a bit before I leave so my drink is almost done once I arrive. Every time I place an order the app gives me an estimate of 3-however many minutes and will count down until it says "soon". Usually I leave then and at this Starbucks I always end up waiting another 10 minutes on top of the 7-10 I already waited just for one drink. Most of the employees are rude and super brisk (which I understand being in a hurry; I've worked the exact same job before) and do not make orders correctly. My orders are always missing something, and last time I was there an employee was given my cup by the supervisor on duty and asked him to make it because I was the longest waiting mobile order. The employee said he hated making Frappuccinos but he would do it anyway, but that he "would not be happy about it". At the time he had no idea I was the customer (I saw the name on the cup) and he didn't even make it correctly. He literally put it down and yelled my name and walked away before I could even ask him to fix it (just missing whipped cream) so I just left. Awful experience. The Starbucks at Circle Tower is super busy too but the employees are (or at least act like) decent people, and it's only 3-4 mins away so order there instead. read more

We stopped in over Memorial Day weekend for my friend to redeem her free birthday drink. This is a small location but was nice and busy (as expected) on a gorgeous Saturday morning. However, this is probably the fastest I've ever gotten a drink at any Starbucks! The baristas were working hard to service the line inside the store as well as the walk up window on the side of the building. This is my most regular Starbucks stop! Being across the street from my office really helps! (Doesn't help my wallet though...) The staff is very friendly, and I've never had an issue with the many mobile orders I put through on a regular basis! It's a small location so it can fill up fast if it's busy, but most customers are coming and going so there's usually a spot to sit. There's also a walk-up window outside if you're sitting in the shaded area next to the building. I haven't tried that yet, but it looks like a good spot for a meeting or just to hang out and enjoy people watching (perfect area for it). This location is also a "reserve" location so you can find specialty coffees here, and they have cold brew and nitro cold brew on top! I'm a fan. read more

Ugh I'm so disappointed in the customer service I receive here, no matter how Busy you are you're a national branded company, this is unacceptable. Not only are the wait times very long; the baristas are unfriendly and unwilling to fix drinks they mess up which is a Starbucks policy! I ordered an iced drink, waited over 5 minutes for it to receive a hot drink. I said this was supposed to be iced, he responded drinks don't come iced I added ice to it.. so not only did I not get my iced drink, nor a hot drink, I got a crummy $6 luke warm drink. No matter what time of the day I swing by the Starbucks on Mass Ave, there is always a line of people. Thankfully it moves quickly, although with usually only barista working, it can take 5-10 minutes from the time you pay until you get your drink. Still, this is one of my favorite Starbucks locations for a few reasons: 1) No drive-thru window. Instead, there's a walk-up window during daylight hours. With all of the foot traffic on Mass Ave, this is genius. 2) To my knowledge, this is (at the time of writing this review) the only location in Indianapolis with a Clover machine. Sure.. some people can't tell the difference, but I think the coffee that comes off this machine has a richer, deeper flavor. I also avoid adding anything to my coffee when drinking something off the clover.. so perhaps my mind just thinks it's better when it really isn't. Either way, kudos to the Marketing folks at Sbux HQ for figuring out a way to get more money for a cup of joe. 3) The people here are just downright friendly. Even with a line almost to the door, they still manage to have a smile on their face. Even the Sunday before Christmas, when Mass Ave was packed with last minute shoppers needing a caffeine fix! read more

I find it hard to rate corporate / chains because they're very similar, no matter where you go, in terms of the food and products. With that being said, this review isn't based on the food/drinks, but rather the service, the quickness of the drinks and orders being made, and the location. This is located a couple of blocks from my work, so it's always nice to walk down here to bring my lunch and grab a drink and people watch. I love the walk-up window and the free pup cups they offer! It's always a pretty busy joint, so it's not the best place to come for a chilled and relaxing atmosphere. Other than that, a pretty good Starbucks experience. read more

I visited this location Friday morning 2/28/20 at approximately 8:30 am. I ordered a sausage and egg biscuit i also had ordered a drink i heard everyone was trying. Which was a "Cookies and Cream frappe" so i got my items got to work. Then i realized i wasn't given the drink i ordered i was given a "Chocolate Chip frappe" which was not what i asked for. Not sure if my order wasn't entered properly because of the line. But that shouldn't matter i should've received what i ordered now. This Starbucks might have the slowest service in Indy. Ive been here twice and each time was a bad experience. This time i came here at 11am on a Sunday and it wasn't crazy busy or anything but I was able to use the restroom and still had to wait over 20 minutes for my basic drink of strawberry açaí.... i think the walk up window is faster than inside service!
