After work as a substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 234 Q whenever I feel thirsty or need something I would buy a large drink to satisfy and enjoy. The large drinks I buy usually tastes refreshing and sweet. The service there was also attentive and super good and quick that the baristas take their time to make it ready and it's definitely worth the wait if you're patient and not in a rush lol. I enjoy passing my useless time at this long Island city Starbucks while my cuz does her shopping nearby cause it's never crowded, it's quiet and the seating setup is private if you like privacy and don't want to look directly at strangers . Workers are friendly and during each visit , no mistakes on my beverage order . Normally I'm not a fan of Starbucks but a lovely lady at this place had completely changed my opinion of this coffee brand. Today (January 19), I had to meet up with a client so I went to this location but did not order anything during the whole time not until after my client left. Because of the fact that I was being diabetic, I had difficulty on getting anything but the server (whose name was called Nash if I heard that correctly) did offer a whole lot of choices for me so I ordered a simple cup of vanilla latte (with fake sugar as mentioned by her) assuming that I ordered a cold brew but my tongue was burnt immediately after taking a big zip of the coffee. So I asked the same server again whether she could just add some ice for me in my latte or not. To my surprise, Nash took my latte and made a brand new cup of cold brew vanilla latte for me without charging me anything extra. Being in the customer service industry for more than 40 years, the service and attitude from this lovely lady really made a real impact on me about Starbucks and she really deserves a raise and promotion in the long run Top 5 stars rating for her and this particular location Now, I know what to order from Starbucks next time if I ever need coffee again read more

The employees here are fantastic. I just had a situation with a maskless guy in line kept putting his face right up to mine (I'm a young woman) and when I asked him to not get close to me during a pandemic (a fair request) he started yelling at me to "Go home" "Go HOME if you're afraid." I calmly explained that I have seizures and also have to test negative before every day I work & he kept getting in my face telling me "STAY AT HOME THEN" "STAY AT HOME IF YOU'RE SCARED", then grabbed onto my shoulder so I left, made a mobile order and waited outside. I watched the employees get him a mask and 3 of them talk to this insane person calming him down. On another occasion recently, I walked up directly after a bigger altercation and despite what'd just happened the employees were kind, explained the situation and found solutions for outstanding mobile orders. I can't praise them enough, they're dealing with some of the worst of humanity. Thank you for hiring kind people. read more

Another Starbucks. What else is there to really say? It really is about time they opened one on Queens Blvd in LIC. Though I do wish it was on the same side as Chase Bank. For some reason, the other side of Queens Blvd seems like such a struggle to get to with that big highway in between. When I finally saw that they opened, I just had to come in to grab a cup of iced coffee and try it out. It was super delish. The staff is a mix of new hires and some from other store locations, so I didn't expect everyone to be an expert. The staff is very friendly and i had no issues. At the end, my iced coffee tasted really yummy! No complaints. I did think for some reason, this location would be bigger and almost thought it would include a small outdoor garden in the back to connect with the new high rise above it, but there isn't one. I'll definitely be returning for my coffee cravings. Hopefully no homeless people will come in and ruin this place. Oh, regrettably, most cell phone carriers don't get reception inside. Not sure why. So instead of being creative I came here before heading to Manhattan. Friendly baristas decked out in holiday gear. Got a mozzarella sandwich and caramel macchiato served quickly. Ready for the day! On a side note that has nothing to do with Starbucks: What's the deal with Canada Goose jackets in this city? They're everywhere! Like a Canada Goose army took over the city! I love the friendliness of the staff here! They follow directions, know how to keep a line moving, and are always very welcoming to their customers. I tend to always substitute for healthier or low calorie options: sugar free syrups, nonfat milk, etc. and they always get it right. There was a time when I was waiting on my laundry and stopped by five minutes before closing to grab a green smoothie from the refrigerated section. I was famished but didn't want to take up too much of their time because they were getting ready to close. The manager just let me have it. I asked if she was sure that she didn't want any money for it and she said yea, enjoy it. I'll always remember that because it was a sweet gesture and it's hard to find a decaffeinated or sugar-free drink in that area, especially at 7pm. read more

This Starbucks opened within the past year after I moved to LIC and I've always loved it. They're currently open during COVID-19 until 6pm. WORST STARBUCKS in the area... not because of the service or baristas but because of the Store Manager Cristine Never have I seen a store manager disrespect her own employees in front of a handful of customers like that . I really couldn't believe what she was saying to her own employees, i can only imagine what goes on behind those doors . Either she needs to be replaced or retrained I will not be coming back her due to her lack of professionalism on handling conflicts behind the bar , the barista did not deserve to be talked down on like that in front of everyone in the lobby . An apology for her disruptive behavior would've gave her one more star but she completely disregarded the customers and went on disrespecting her own employees . Updated review because it's always a pleasant experience coming here. This location was temporarily shut down for the past few weeks because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Then out of the blue a few days ago, I was driving down 145th headed to work and I saw a giant posting that this store was opened. Super excited, I made an illegal U-turn, double parked and speed walked to the door to order me a complimentary tall iced coffee. Greeted with smiles and thank you's, I left there feeling really good inside and appreciated for being a frontliner. Let me tell you .. It makes a huge difference in how I start my mornings. I have visited this location a few times. Each visit has been highly efficient. Most of my Starbucks orders are mobile orders because who has time for lines these days. Each time I've entered the store I've been greeted; my drink and sometimes snack has been already prepared and waiting for me. I especially like that they organize their mobile pick up orders by the customer's name since its visible on the drink sticker. I have yet to have any complaints with the service or waiting time. I would suggest that you put your orders in early if you want any breakfast items because they go quickly at this location. read more

This is such a great Starbucks location. The management and the staff are outstanding. And during these times it is so nice to have social interactions and know that people actually care. It's clean and everything is fresh and good. A special shout-out to a manager named Cristine Singh. I've been to many Starbucks and this place is very slow even it is not crowded on Friday noon. The cashier lost our ticket and we asked another employee and he just ignore us and make coffee for people who order behind us. We waited for 20 min for just a grande ice latte. Your experience will depend on what you use this Starbucks for. It's right next to the subway and bus stations, so for a beverage or small bite prior to commuting, it might be ok (although I suspect long lines for rush hour). I went for the goal of studying and getting work done. There are not a lot of tables, a few small circular ones and 2 medium sized oval ones. There's also a small bar-style seating area by the front window. Music - somewhat loud, will need headphones (esp noise cancelling) to avoid the music and chatter. Internet - they have the free starbucks internet, but IT IS BAD. Do NOT rely on the wifi here to be able to get work done. There was only 1 other laptop in the whole starbucks besides mine and not a lot of customers yet the wifi was still really horrible. Many sites won't/take forever to load. Also, my Verizon LTE wasn't connecting very well either. Outlets- Very sparse. Maybe 2 outlets total. Bathroom- they have a public bathroom, but due to the cafe's location, I would expect there to be long lines and poor conditions as I already noted 3 homeless people coming in to use it during my 1 hour there. Temperature- not freezing, but on the colder side (It is August and pretty warm outside, so understandable). All-in-all, a standard starbucks. Just not a good one to get work done at. read more
