Good drinks, friendly staff. I'd come back if I was in the area! On a warm summer day the thought of a cool drink chilled me out. Arriving around 4pm on a weekend late afternoon, the shop was pretty quiet, a few guests came by while I was there. Seating inside for about a dozen people comfortably at cushioned chairs and banquettes, the store is very new and clean. The store follows the color of the bold blue used in its logo as a theme thru the store, paired back to a light tan neutral. On the left side of the store a digital display gave a brief intro to the franchise location owners, flipping between introductions of these three leaders. The team member at the counter was cheerful and very helpful in answering my questions, and giving me time to decide. I went with a matcha latte (premade with oat milk, I asked for no additional sweetener), and a brown sugar bobo, which is their brown sugar bubble milk tea, with oat milk by request. Both were great! I still prefer non-pre-made matcha though for a bubble tea store like this, it used sufficient matcha, if anything a bit too sweet for my preference. The brown sugar bobo was tasty and one of the few occasions where I didn't taste the difference between an oatmilk and real milk iteration of the drink. Both drinks were made within a 6-8 minute wait which is pretty normal in my books. Would swing by again for bubble tea here! read more

Great addition to the neighborhood, conveniently located on Steinway. This was my first time going to a Yaaas Tea location. This one has only been open a few weeks. I was going to order a drink without boba, until I saw the sign that the boba is made fresh daily. It was DELICIOUS! Bright inside, with some seating. The staff were really helpful. Fresh Boba every hour, on the hour!! My niece and I went to checkout this new store. We only ordered 2 beverages, as we were going to be out and about all day long. But I told her next time, we have to add some Banana Pudding and Gelato...and maybe a Croffle! Hahaha So many great items to explore! My friend happened to live in Astoria and since I know their drink and banana pudding are AMAZING (special thanks to my Queens CM Extraordinaire Samatha for letting me know!) that i bought for my friend and drinks for us. I had the pleasure of dropping in to the new Yaaas Tea on Steinway yesterday. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with a big smile by the clerk behind the desk. With their help, I ordered the iced caramel milk tea with almond milk and Yaaas creamer. A drink I thought I would savor while commuting to Soho, but instead, I drank it on the short walk to the Steinway train station. Yaaas Tea offers breakfast, cookies, Pastéis de Nata, and other delicious options, but it was late afternoon and I had my mind set on their endulgent banana pudding. The pudding met all of my expectations. It was fluffy and creamy. I'll confess if I hadn't been out in public, there's a good chance I would have licked the cup dry. This is a new boba shop that opened up recently on Steinway. My husband and I happened to be walking by during their grand opening weekend and, intrigued, decided to pop in. The owners were there that morning and the place was empty as it was around 11am on a Saturday. Everyone was nice but they weren't especially welcoming, which felt odd since it was their grand opening weekend. We ordered at the kiosk and patiently waited for our drinks to be made. I ordered the mango dragon fruit refresher with mango popping boba - 50% sugar and less ice. The drink itself was tasty, however all of the sugar was on the bottom... meaning that by the time we were halfway finished with our drinks, they had 0% sweetness. The same thing happened to my husband. The tea maker definitely should've shaken our drinks before handing them over! Overall, it's a nice, cleanly place! I'm sure we'll stop by again some time in the future, especially since it's not too far from where we live. read more

Congrats to this bubble tea franchise for an Astoria location on Steinway! It's close to 30th Ave eateries also. It's a good sized cafe space with tables and seatings. There's also a few high chairs by the window. You can order on the kiosk or at the register. Staff were really nice. They also have an app with rewards. I went during the grand opening days for 50% off cold drinks. I got the iced brown sugar milk tea and added boba to it for $1 extra. The boba is made fresh. It's nice and chewy. The drink came out to less than $5 with the discount. You can choose 1 or 2 pumps of brown sugar syrup, but there's no option for no sugar. Overall, a satisfying drink and very good boba. However for me, I like to have no sugar in the milk tea especially when adding boba because it's usually already sweetened with brown sugar or honey. It's still a great addition to the area, especially for boba. I wish it best of all luck! read more
