    Thought I'd nip in here

As usual let's open with a KFT rap: I don't like beans in my drinks, not even MUNG FU If you brought the tea, it's already been BRUNG FU If you're seventeen, sorry bae, but you're too YOUNG FU But if you want Lemon Black Tea, you come to KUNG FU! It makes some of the rivals taste like eating cow DUNG FU It's at the top of the ladder, while you're on the lowest RUNG FU You'll love if you're easy going, even highly STRUNG FU So if you want a Lemon Black Tea, you come to KUNG FU I tasted it and screamed so loud that I collapsed a LUNG FU I carried on screaming and sounded like Angus YOUNG FU They played Sting on the radio, but I'm already STUNG FU By the wondrous Lemon Black Tea they serve at KUNG FU I went to the toilet, opened Snapchat, then I SUNG FU Came back, took my pants off, and the girls yelled "HUNG FU!" In walked Barbie and immediately I'm SPRUNG FU And you should come and get a Lemon Black Tea from KUNG FU! WHAT As my notes say: friendly guy who knows how to make a LBT, very tasty, subtle, not too sweet, good location, like your mother. I wanted to take off my pants, but I didn't, because then it would've been Hung Fu Tea. Lovely little KFT in Elmhurst, it has seating, it's a nice place to hang out, and all in all it's one of my fave locations, with friendly service and lovely decor as well. The little cat on the table is adorable, I like the mirrors (so did Justin Timberlake) (Barbie wants them all over her bedroom including the ceiling) (I mean full wall mirrors) (you would too if you looked like her), and of course the Lemon Black Tea was tasty AF. I stopped pretending to be a turtle when ordering here. Otherwise it'd be Kowabunga Fu Tea. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! Generally speaking, Kung Fu Tea scores 5, which is a huge compliment, considering that it's a massive international corporate chain, whose milk teas don't match up to the best chains: Sharetea, Gong Cha, Tea Top, and Coco. However, they're still really good, and the fruit teas here are among the best. Especially the lemon black tea which absolutely rocks my world. If it's not on the menu, demand it! Other fruit teas (Orange, Grapefruit, Pineapple) must also be ordered off-menu as Black Tea instead of the meh Green. Also the Lemon Black tastes good as a Lemon Oolong, but everyone else hates it because they have bad taste. The one annoying thing about the chain is the corporate office (they're sketchy) and their rule that no drink can have its tea altered. I didn't need major surgery while in here. If I had, it might've been Collapsed Lung Fu Tea. I feel like I came to this KFT a very long time ago, but my most recent visit was much more enjoyable because I hung out here and the employees were great and the location is tucked on a back street off Broadway (the aptly named Justice) in the heart of Elmhurst, which is Latin Queens, but has a lot of flavour from many other cultures. And while parking is a nightmare, my experience here was anything but. The excellent drink, the lovely decor, and the even better service mean there's no way this isn't 5 stars. So if you have nothing to do And your partner won't give you a screw I know something better And very much wetter Get Lemon Black Tea from Kung Fu!

This store is super rude and unprofessional. Things happen like this, I order the bubble tea with red bean and bubble and they charge me without telling me the price and also they charge the wrong amount of money without any apology . First the front desk was very new and no experience. Second the girl who made the drink was very inpatient and trying to argue with me and blame me. Finally the manager step in and yelling me back and try to kick me out. They pretend like they will give me an refund like yelling " you will get your money back in 10 days" This kind of costumer service is totally not appreciated. Never support this type of local business . I only order one order and they charge twice. Imagine if I did not check my Creidt record, it will be like an rip off.

Watery and not even filled to the top. Disappointing

I havent been to kungfu tea in a long time and I wont be back for sure! I shouldve been warned when the store was empty when I entered Came into redeem my reward on the app by getting two large milk teas without ice. First the cups werent even filled to the top...like did i pay for a large just for you to give me a medium? Second I think I just paid for milk flavored water cuz thats what it tastes. Worst milk tea I've ever had. In my whole life. Third I ordered them in two separate transactions but was charged different prices for the same order? $3.75 for the first time I ordered and $4.08 for the second time I ordered. Something smells fishy.... Never again kungfu tea.

We parked at a free metered parking space on a Sunday about 3 blocks away from Queens Center mall and our plan was to go shopping first and then get some bubble tea from this spot (a Kung Fu Tea yay!) afterwards since it was on the same block as our parking space so it would be very convenient later. We've been to 3 of their other locations before and they never disappoint. We arrived here around 2 pm and there was not even 1 customer in this spot. There were 3 employees working (2 males and 1 female) and the 1 male took our order while the female made the drinks. Pricing was under $8 dollars for 2 medium sized drinks (we got the KF bubble milk tea and taro slush). The drinks turned out really good and satisfied our sweet cravings. The best part of this bubble tea place is the 2 different types of sweet panda bubbles (black + white bubbles). I feel their bubbles are one of the best out of all the chain bubble tea spots that we have went to. My husband loves their taro slush and that's the only drink he gets from here because it is super sweet and the texture is like a smoothie without being too watery. CASH ONLY!

PASSION FRUIT GREEN TEA and SUNSHINE PINEAPPLE TEA

This location is really convenient and super accessible from the M and R train. It boasts some seating as compared to the other branches in queens. We got the sunshine pineapple and passion fruit green tea , both delicious and refreshing but the sunshine pineapple was the real winner. Oh important to note both of them we asked for 50% sugar. The pineapple was light and refreshing and definitely perfect for that hot afternoon that we visited. The passion fruit green tea was also good but the flavor wasn't as good as the sunshine pineapple. So new favorite flavor is definitely pineapple sunshine #fortheloveofboba

How great is this, a new bubble tea place in my neighborhood! I heart you Amy S. for your FTR review and telling us about the 2-for-1 Grand opening special this whole weekend. I was down there by 8:30pm for a bubble tea fix and the Special! They had four items for the 2-for-1 so I ordered all four. Compared to the Flushing store (more like a large booth) it is not over sweetened which is my preference. Maybe they refined their mixer. All I remember was a delicious hot WOW-brand(1) bubble tea with tapioca balls that were tasty, chewy, soft and firm. I didn't even take note of the names. Green Wow Milk $3.50 + free Passionfruit Green Tea Green Wow Milk $3.50 + free KF Bubble Milk Tea Four bubble tea; medium- $7 (Woo hoo!) This location is a real store with a small quantity of chairs and table. I did take advantage of their brand new red leather couch. Deco- slick, modern and hot! I heart your designer. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/i8aUeHmdINsEWceJGBy-QQ?select=MD4FIvEiRkeBHpkY0tgtyg *Comment/Suggestion- the menu is presented on a large LCD monitor which is slice but can become difficult to read when it gets crowded. (1)- The WOW has a mix of tapioca balls, beans, milk and tea. After a couple of sips you'll say "Wow!'; it bets a cup of coffee!

I can forgive the bootleg cups and unsealed lids - but at least warn the pickup person about it so that half the drink doesn't spill before getting home.

I have seen photos of shaved ice and have been curious. Noticed their shaved-ice ad for so long I decided to try it from there. it's really just frozen-flavored ice which is shaved, I wouldn't pay $6 for it again. It came out looking good but once I started eating, it became sticky and mushy. And need better customer service.

If there is a 0 or -star, I won't be hesitate to give them that. 9/23 about 5 pm we ordered two drinks w/ pearl to go. Then, we found the pearl tasted a little bit sour and the green tea milk tea tasted watery and so different with any other KungFu. But we already were heading to Brooklyn and stuck on the bridge at that moment. It's abt 20-25mins away from KungFu. I called them just wanted to let them know this situation instead of posting on yelp directly. After a long talk with them, they want us back to the store next day and will make us two new drinks. Today, I went to the store and tried to talk to Alvan whom they said he will be in charge of this. But the whole conversation and all the staffs made us feeling like we were driving 40mins(round trip) here for cheating them 2 drinks that value $8 total. (I'm wondering how much my gas cost) please don't tell me you were giving me "FREE" drinks, becuz u didn't refund me. Such a NICE interaction when customer gives their feedback. ====================================== Here comes the conversation, if any one interested: Me: I have called yesterday for the poor quality drinks and was told to come back today. Alvan: it's "impossible" the pearl tasted sour, and ONLY YOU said so. No other customer said that. Me: what do u mean? you mean it's my problem or? Alvan: No, but it's just impossible but if you insist. Ok, I CAN give you 2 drinks FOR FREE. Me: These are not the FREE DRINKS! We purchased 2 poor quality drinks yesterday and called you becuz we want to let you know abt the quality was not good. We didn't dare to drink the sour pearl and thrown them away. Alvan: oh, usually customer will need to show us the drinks. Me: You mean even I were arriving Brooklyn? Or you mean we were cheating for these? Alvan: No, but anyway, I CAN GIVE u two FREE drinks. ====================================

I feel the snacks are way too spicy, because I asked mild spicy. I feel they have false advertising for fried tempuras, because they have a picture of mix tempuras. But I received fried fish cakes instead. I feel I got cheated for the snack. Then I order a honey green tea and ask for no ice. The female cashier still makes the the drink with ice. So I remind her that I requested no ice, then she acts like she didn't know and turns around to her colleague to laugh it off. I don't come to this place to spend my money for her to be a snubby and unfriendly dumb blonde. I get that she looks pretty with makeup on. Her colleague just hands me my snacks and drink, and doesn't even care if he gives the order to the right person or not. What a bad customer service.

Whoo hoo! Another Kung Fu Tea has opened! The Kung Fu Tea franchise is spreading like wildfire, first with a location in Flushing, then locations in Brooklyn and the East Village, and now there's one in Elmhurst. I'm a big fan of this chain and I can see why they're so successful. In a city where good pearl milk tea is hard to find, Kung Fu Tea really stands out. The Elmhurst Kung Fu Tea upholds the standards of the other ones, with the same creative menu of milk teas, flavored teas, and wow milk. Like the other locations, their teas are brewed to perfection and deliciously fragrant, and their tapioca is cooked to the correct, chewy consistency. The Elmhurst location has the same affordable prices as the Flushing location; and if you managed to stop by during the opening weekend, there was a 2-for-1 deal going on. There's also one major improvement: they have seating! Granted, it's 3 small tables with two chairs each, and one long, red sofa at the front of the cafe. But still, it's an improvement. *raises milk tea cup* Here's to hoping that more Kung Fu Tea locations with seating space will start to pop up in NYC.

My go-to is the açaí bowl (original - classic size) just the way it is, no customization. I haven't tried their other bowls but the UBE & coconut sounds very good too! Oh yea, if you don't feel like chewing, they have all their açaí bowls in smoothie form too. Refreshing, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The açaí is smooth and slightly tart, balanced by sweet fruits and a satisfying crunch from granola. They also say their granola is "home made" which definitely adds that extra crunch. A light yet energizing treat that makes you feel as good as it tastes. Perfect for those hot NYC days...(and cold when winter comes).

The person behind the counter made my bowl quickly and got the substitutions correct. I got a classic size, and it was quite large, though expensive. The fruit was all very fresh, and the green mixture tasted great. I would definitely eat this again. The SoBol space was nice, though it was deserted while I was there. The space is designed for ones and twos, or small groups at most to eat their bowls or drink their smoothies, and then leave.
