Starbucks closes at six and they refused to serve even though they were still open. Very disappointed

This is a very good Starbucks location. The beverages and pastries were the same as the typical Starbucks location, but what sets this location apart from the others is the incredible staff. Went to grab my morning coffee at the Starbucks near my home. Notice the drive-through line was pretty long so I decided to park and go inside. I was greeted with friendly smiles and happy faces. I ordered my normal grande drip dark roast with heavy cream. Noticed that the Starbucks employees were working pretty hard behind the counter. After waiting for a bit for my coffee one of the employees informed me that the dark roast drip was cold but she could give me the pike. I asked for them just to do a Americano with heavy cream and they were happy to accommodate. Then I got a tall Americano and not a grande. But that was OK because they were so nice and kind to me even though you could tell they were working really hard and trying to make everyone happy. She said I am happy to give you a credit and I was really amazed and surprised and happy that they made me feel important and appreciated. Instead of blowing me off like most places probably would. To the Starbucks employees you guys are doing a fabulous job and don't forget it thank you for all your hard work. You come in super early to give us coffee to make our days better thank you for making my day better. read more

Every employee I have encountered has above and beyond customer service and always have a smile on their face. This is a super Starbucks site! Nice people? Check. Fireplace? Check. Efficient circulation plan for people waiting in line? Check. Super large and immaculate bathroom? (This is important to me!) Very pretentious employees here, in the morning at least, the cashier was very patronizing which irritated the hell outta me, and she seemed unable to answer questions about the company's rewards program. Awesome service! When I arrived in WA, my friend took us to Starbucks to start our day. The drive-through employee was very friendly and had a lengthy conversation with us. In addition, she tried selling my friend some Starbucks Anniversary blend. The employee gave my friend a sample and he gave it to me. I took a sip and didn't really like it. The sample cup didn't have a lid so when my friend drove off it spilled all over my jeans. If you decide to try it and don't like it, I highly recommend tossing the cup out ASAP. read more

Wide selection of items if I forgot my lunch (tasty sandwiches), want something refreshing (ice teas or mochas), or a treat like a warmed up chocolate croissant. I've been here before and the girls were very nice, but today I just dropped in to grab cookies and a danish and the people on-shift were ...just.... not good at customer service. There were two younger guys, and one older woman with brunette hair who I'm assuming was the manager or something because she was telling them things to do around the back. When I walked in, no one said hello even though there was no line of people. The whole time the brunette lady was helping me at the cashier she was simultaneously having a conversation with the other male worker who was cleaning. Sorry, did I interrupt your conversation? Should I come back later? Should I pitch in in teaching him how to use a soap spray bottle?! It was so rude but I don't think she realized she was doing it. She showed little interest in me. When I ordered a danish she said ,"Oh, is there still one left in there?" Uh, left in where? The bakery display? I don't know, why don't you check and tell ME if you have any left? In between talking to him and laughing and making jokes she would take my order. Mind you the entire time her face was looking at him and not me. I felt like I was the third wheel on an awkward date. The drink came out fast and well made and so did my bakery treat. The woman seemed very nice once she started making eye contact with me. But dang, when there is a customer there just say "Oh hang on Employee #1, I'll help you after I get this lady's order taken care of." Don't talk to multiple people at once and definitely don't put a customer on the backburner during the 50 seconds it takes them to put in a simple order. read more

Out of all the Starbucks in the area, this location is most definitely on top of their game when it comes to taking care of customers. The reason I say that is because, in my opinion, they have grasped the concept of customer service. They know their reward system, they also keep their shelves stocked, front faced, and presentable. Not to mention, they greet every customer when they come through the door. They also treat every customer the same. I've seen people of all types come to this particular Starbucks and receive the same amount of respect as anyone else. This location has a very diverse and culturally accepting atmosphere. Whoever is responsible for ordering materials for this store reeeally underestimates the amount of product they'll be needing. I went through this drive thru for a zombie frappuccino the first day they were being offered, and they were out at 5:00 pm. This was supposed to last til the 31st, and you didn't order enough to last through the 26th? Seems odd. So instead I get a refresher of some kind, tall, and with light ice. Cue the cup being pretty much all ice, and the drink not even filling the cup. But I guess it makes sense that everything would be messed up seeing as how the people working were to busy talking amongst themselves to actually do their job. read more

Oh. My. Goodness. (Visited 9/17/15 about 730 AM) I completely understand how stressful and busy the morning barista shifts are -- the drive-thru was backed up nearly 8 cars. So I decided to go in as I had a few extra minutes. There was one person in front of me whom was having confusion with the young lady checking out. She moved along -- frustrated -- waiting for her order. I stepped up and said I wanted a triple grande extra iced espresso with caramel sauce in the bottom. I always make this super clear so they don't mess up and put extra milk or creamer in it.. Been ordering this from Starbucks or stands since I've drank coffee. I then have to tell her the order 3 different ways so she understands. She then proceeds to pull out a hot grande cup. I said hey hun, it's iced (EXTRA at that)! She looked at me with the most blank stare. She then proceeds to look around and realizes she forgot another persons drip and kinda freaks out and looks around like OH NO OH NO. Another worker realized what she was up to and she made an error and pours the other persons drip. She then proceeded to yell (in my face at that) to a woman ACROSS the coffee bar "You're coffee will be right there!" So all this time I'm just standing there, she hands my plastic cup to the barista. The barista then proceeds to put Classic Syrup in there. I said "Hey! Is that mine? Why are you putting classic? I just want caramel sauce in the bottom." She blankly stares at me and proceeds to tell me what the cup says. I say -- "Well -- once again my order is a triple grande espresso with extra ice and caramel sauce in the bottom." All of this while the young lady ringer is looking at me like I'm crazy! I always pay $3.34 for this drink. I know exactly the price so incase there is an error I can correct it immediately. She ended up charging me an odd $2.50 for this and normally I would say something but I was so damn frustrated I didn't say anything and slumped away to the dry bar for a straw so I could get the hell out of there. STARBUCKS MANAGER OF THIS BRANCH --- PLEASE please PLEASE put someone who knows what to do on your computer and a kinder customer service attitude to smooth over mistakes. I had the worst experience today.. So I went to get a drink re made bc it was made wrong & my mom wanted a drink so it was worth the drive back. When was in line, my nail chipped, so it was a tiny little 1/2 a centimeter piece of nail. I flicked it out the window into some bushes. Ordered & went to the window. Once I got to the window, this male, he was a white ginger man named Chris. I'm guessing he was the manager, started going off on me about how I'm so disrespectful for throwing something into the bushes & now he has to go outside & clean it up bc the car behind me ratted me out. ( He was yelling at me, so the car behind me could hear), i tried to right away tell him that it was a tiny piece of nail & he didn't have to go outside & pick that up... he interrupted me with " I don't give a shit ", & then he started telling me how it was my fault my drinks was made wrong. Honestly, as a Hispanic girl that had experienced racism before, he gave me the worst anxiety, I saw hatred in his eyes & I knew it wasn't over coffee. I go to that Starbucks every morning & spend 6-7$ EVERYDAY. I'm never going back. I felt profiled & I felt so embarrassed. He didint even let me defend myself.. I just drove away instantly & told him to forget about the drinks. I hate even having to write this over coffee,I ve been a barista for 5 years & I know accidents happen. But the way he treated me was so unacceptable & I really hope Starbucks does something about it. So if your a ginger male, named Chris! This is 1000% about you, idk why you were so mad, I don't know if you're racist, but best believe I'm going to tell every single person that I know regularly drinks Starbucks about this experience & to not go to that store. read more

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to review Starbucks or any other chain for that matter. The coffee is always consistent from Starbucks to Starbucks but each Starbucks is a reflection of their neighborhood in clientele and atmosphere. Just check out the Starbucks at Jackson and 23rd in Seattle sometime and you'll know what I'm talking about. Anyway, this particular Starbucks is in north Lynnwood in the shopping center anchored by Fred Meyer. It's relatively new and still finding itself. I was cheerfully served, nothing fancy, my usual grande nonfat latte. I'll have to check in for another update to see where this Starbucks is headed. read more

I am a big fan of Star Bucks, yet every Star Bucks coffee is not the same depending on who is making it... This is my FAV location and its only mins from my place which is awesome. Every time I come here, my coffee is dam near perfect, if not perfect. Everyone here is always friendly, smiling, makes for a better day. The drive through is open at 5 am which is perfect if I want to stop by for a quick coffee on the way to the park n ride, and it is easy to get to. Its hard not to stop here every time I also need to make a trip to Fred Meyer. I wish they ALL could be this good. Thanks for being so awesome!!! read more

I'm glad Starbucks is able to open and everyone behind the counter is wearing a face mask. However, there was one gal whose face mask was too big and kept falling below her nose. She then kept trying to adjust it, without washing her hands after touching her mask. She would then continue with her drink/food prep. This is my favorite sbux around the area especially for long hours of studying!! The location is spacious with a lot of tables, quiet (they don't play obnoxious, loud music like other sbux), and the baristas are always welcoming. My productivity always spikes at this sbux, plus it seems like they're always stocked up on their food items in case I get hungry. ALSO, it doesn't feel like a human refrigerator. I've tried pretty hard to like this location, as it's right down the street from my home. However, they mess up my order on a continual basis and are nearly always cranky and impolite. I have noticed that when I order my beverage(s) via the drive-through, my orders are usually correct and the employees much friendlier. My review is not for Starbucks as a company, but for this location in particular, which is a favorite of mine. This drive-thru location is a little bit tucked away in a strip mall, and also is relatively new. Because of this the lines both inside and in the drive-thru are always a lot shorter than any of the other stores in the nearby area. Also, because they're a little less busy, they sometimes have seasonal syrups and things in stock for a bit longer. There's my secret, *winky wink*, now please don't go crowding my favorite Starbucks and snagging all of my treats! The baristas here also get gold stars from me; all of them. Everyone seems to really enjoy their job. There is one girl who always has a sample cup of whipped cream and chocolate chips for any adorable toddler, and plenty of other employees who are full of smiles, good conversation while you wait, and are quick with the free drink coupons should anything go wrong. read more

This used to be my favorite store because the baristas were all nice and friendly. But WOW. Didn't know there's this one lady (old) with curly hair and black framed glasses that obviously doesn't like working there. She was rude and didn't even smile a little bit when I ordered (i was being friendly btw). She didn't even say 'thank you' or anything, just gave me my debit card back while looking at the computer screen. Not just that, she even threw my food RUDELY to the counter without calling me or see my face, and if i didn't see that i wouldn't even know that my food was ready. Just WOW. She should've just stopped working there if she doesn't like working. Or if she needs the money, at least try to SMILE and BE FRIENDLY a little bit. Lol. I freaking hate this Starbucks! Rude chick in the drive thru! I came through twice this week and the first time they forgot half my order and the second time they forgot half my order and screwed up the other half! Yes most if not all Starbucks are the same. Same drinks, same coffee, same food. What separates this one from the others? The staff! They are one of the friendliest, and awesome people I've ever encountered at Starbucks, except for the one that is in my building at work, but it took them a bit. From the first time I walked in, the staff were just bubbling with personality and friendliness. When they ask about your day, you can tell it's not just for politeness, I mean they really mean it and are interested! I may not be a huge fan of their coffee, because the roast they use for their drinks always tastes burnt to me (this is at any Starbucks) but customer service always rocks in my book! read more

The 164th St Starbucks is my favorite coffee/tea hangout. I frequent this establishment at least twice a week. The staff always remember my name and make me feel like I'm part of their family. I know that most Starbucks have friendly staff, but this particular group are the most personable and helpful, of all the Starbucks establishments that I've frequented. I love Starbucks - I go to several and there are definitely good Starbucks and bad Starbucks. This is an -excellent- Starbucks! Not only is the staff always prompt and friendly, but the decor in this particular location is lovely. Also, I'm sitting here typing this review about 5 minutes after spilling my Grande no-water soy chai all over the place like the klutz I am! A woman behind the counter came right out with several wet rags to help clean up and was extremely friendly and kind - which was nice because I was absolutely mortified! Not only did she graciously help clean up, but she made me a new chai free of charge, which was so sweet of her! I'll definitely return to this location in the future! read more
