Recently, an associate asked that we meet to work on a university grad school application he was making. (I am one of his recommenders.) He chose this Starbucks location. We arrived and much to our surprise, there were no tables inside. There were a few out in the 53 degree cold with a bit of wind and much traffic noise in front. What was a stable for us (meeting at a Starbucks, buying a coffee or two and perhaps a snack) was a fail here. The folks served promptly, but clearly were engaged with other topics of conversation. We came inside to order even though the drive thru lane wasn't long. I wanted to order for my girls first and everyone had to say what they wanted then after paying that I ordered separately my free stars reward. My niece had used the bathroom so just know to ask for the code for customers only. There isn't any place to sit, they pretty much want you in and out as fast as possible. They are located back in a hidden location so maps would probably help locate them unless you know where Jamba is since they are near them. Drinks came out fast and were delicious as always. I'd definitely would like to go to this location since they aren't always busy but I have seen days when the drive thru was long but I would bet the line went quickly. read more

Sounds like this may be a location specific thing here. Every other Starbucks location I've ordered a matcha water (no water) from, just so I can get the powder, has sold me the powder for the price of a matcha drink. I used to order this on a weekly basis so I could make matcha at work every day. This location however refused to do it. If it's policy it's policy. Person taking my order was very pleasant but firm about it. I just know now that I won't be coming to this location anymore. If all Starbucks do this though then that's a different story and I'll have to take that into consideration. read more

I wanted to like this Starbucks location badly. But, no. Just, no. Let me first just say, I am not blaming the crew personally. I assume most of their troubles are short staffing related, and not personnel quality related. But for starters, their cafe is constantly closed at random times and business is funneled through drive. The same can be said for mobile ordering. They often disable it randomly. I assume both tactics are employed to help the crew catch up on orders when they fall behind. Also, the crew's drink accuracy and friendliness are both spotty at best. I again assume this is mainly because the crew appears to constantly be overwhelmed by all the orders so their customer service and accuracy suffers. Next, the store's property leaves a lot to be desired. I know this is a property management issue, but I'm sure Starbucks can use its powerful name to effect positive change. The grounds are filthy, overran by vandalism and homeless, and the store generally feels unsafe. I hope this store's crew gets the staffing support they deserve/need so some of these problems can be resolved. But until then, I won't be going to this location and I recommend you pass on it too. read more

I've been coming to this place for a minute. The service is always good but today I walked in and there's a girl wearing glasses with her hair up that looked like she hasn't taken a shower and just woke up and now is prepping drinks so i just walk out. I cannot let a person looking like that make me a drink and she probably hasn't even washed her hands. My husband was at the Manteca/Hulsey location. He brought his reusable cup to get a Pike's Place for him. For me, a tall Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappechino. He ordered my drink, the guy took the cup, and left to make my drink using my husband's cup. Frappechino's are made in a clear cup!! My husband got my drink and came home. Just a quick review about today's visit, went through the drive-thru for a couple of drinks, and the line went sooooo fast! There were several cars in the line and it was wrapped around the building, but the cars kept moving and before we knew it, we had our drinks! Props to the morning crew that was running the show, we were very surprised at how fast we got through there. Our drinks were perfect, and we were served with a smiles all around as well. Where do I start off with this place. Customer service was decent however very disappointed with the over all cleanliness of the place. This is my go to Starbucks because it is near my house! The service is always so great and I always get my drink relatively fast! There are many times when the drive thru line is extremely long but the wait is never too bad! I always order an iced Carmel macchiato with soy and extra Carmel drizzle upside down. This place has lost my business. Woman working the drive through this morning was incredibly rude. I received my drink and it looked like one was made wrong or switched with another drink. I informed her of this and I was greeted with plain rudeness from her. I got my money returned and went to another Starbucks where I did not have to deal with the rudeness. I told my girlfriend of my encounter with this woman and she knew who I was talking about immediately. She was rude to my girlfriend and her 2 daughter earlier in the week. This has to be one of the worst stores. It's the most convenient on my home from morning drop offs, however the waits are always long, the parking lot is always a disaster- especially if they decide to close either the drive thru or inside (assuming due to staffing) . The baristas often seem to be rushing through orders, you ask for light ice and still get 3/4 cup, perhaps because of the long wait times their just pushing through orders but paying $6 for a cup of coffee I expect to get it right. The older ladies working the window are always pleasant, so that's a plus. read more

The woman who took my order had a hard time comprehending what I wanted and wasn't sure what the Berry Prickly Pear drink was. Unfortunately they did not have it, so I ordered a Tall Caramel Frap. Worst Caramel frap ever!! It is so bland, and there are still huge chunks of ice. Not well blended at all. Also, the Caramel syrup was drizzled on top of the whipped cream and not on the sides of the cup. I am highly disappointed and will not be coming back to this location. I live very close to Starbucks, and I would rather drive to the other side of town or lathrop by target. I've ordered my coffee here a few times, and each time I say I'm not going back, they have bad addittudes, like if you tell them excuse me, you forgot the whip or toppings. This is the only 24 hour location in this area. I usually come between 2:45am - 3:15am. At least 5 times in the past month, I have driven across town to come to this location and no one was here. The store had the drive thru blocked and was closed. Once I had even placed a mobile order and arrived to an empty store. Today I arrived again, pulled up in drive thru and patiently waited for someone to take my order, but yet again, no one was there. This Starbucks location is crazy busy all the time. The drinks are usually made properly but I work down the road and do larger mobile orders for my coworkers and I we were missing two food items that we found out about by the time we got back to work and of course are not able to go immediately back to get any items. I asked for a hot drink at 150 degrees. there was no line and about 6 people working the 24/7 starbucks. I went to pick up my order, confirmed with the barista (same person who took my order) if the milk was really 150 degrees hot. She said "yes." with all the customer training the media claimed Starbucks took time to provide their staff, I am surprised that they didn't reinforce honesty. Before hitting up the In and Out next door but after dropping off the kiddies there, we decided to go for a coffee run. Mind you it was around 8 at night and my friend who was driving was falling asleep on the road. We pull up to the drive-thru, and were greeted with a Filipino lady with an accent. So my friend, being filipino as well decided to be all Filipino back, such a riot as they competed with who could sound fobbier. After massive amounts of giggles we head to the drive thru to see four young guys with being old grins on their faces, so the extra stars are for the entertainment on a Saturday night, the coffee itself was just so-so, but the amusement boosts my experiance up to four stars!
