Drive-thru is consistently fast and staff is wonderful. I have a tricky order that sometimes gets made incorrectly and the staff is always wonderful about it. Not only is this Starbucks (W. Southern Ave & S. San Jose Ave Mesa, AZ) my favorite because it's closer to me, but the baristas there are awesome! I go to this Starbucks 3-5 days a week. Mobile order, drive thru, walk in, or even drink it there while studying and I've never had an issue. Today I walked in and there wasn't anyone in line and only 1 car in the drive thru already at the window. Ordered my drink, simple iced cold brew. It usually takes 1-2 minutes it's literally ice and coffee. I stood by the window to pick up since there was no one in front of me ordering and little to no cars in the drive thru. Only Roger was making drinks. There were 5 people behind the counter. 4 people watching one person make drinks. One looked like she was being trained so that's fair (but I give her 5star). Another worker was looking at her phone walking around, pulled my drink ticket off the machine and stuck it to the table and took the next one off of that and started to make that one. 5 minutes goes by and the 5start trainee said "hey do you need something" so I said " yeah I just had the one drink it's been like 6 minutes and I've seen it get passed" this is where my 2 star comes into play. Erin or Aaron however you spell it, was standing by the drive thru window and she leans over a bit to look at the ticket for my drink and says "uh close, try 5 minutes" then continued to not help or do anything besides look like she hates her job. Just funny that you don't do your job and then when it's questioned, it's met with attitude and then you return to not doing the job. read more

Asked for a grande iced cinnamon almond milk macchiato and for the syrup to be replaced with the sugar free cinnamon dulce.. in other words- sugar free and dairy free. What I got was a grande iced cinnamon cloud with the sugar free cinnamon dulce. Never mind that there is A LOT of milk as the "cloud" is basically a sugar-milk foam (also where tf is the espresso- see picture) Also, whoever took my order at the drive either needs to drink more coffee herself or develop a personality.. probably the rudest Starbucks employee I've had and I visit Starbucks quite frequently. Probably won't be coming back to this location because I'd rather drive a few more minutes to another location that has a.) never had a rude employee and b.) makes drinks correctly. read more

Worst place I ever get my drink at. Literally they have to remake my drink 3 times and still it get wrong. My coffee usually cost 3-4 dollars in the other place but here it charge you more and come out a drink that not even correct. Before that we have to waited in the drive through for so long , they probably did mess up the drink that's why It took so long. Literally terrible. read more

This is the WORST LOCATION EVER!!! I am not quick to post negative reviews so this is based on two back to back experiences. 1. I ordered an iced coffee and the lid was not places properly that when I took a drink it spilled all over my top. Thankfully this was not a hot drink. 2. I went there around 8pm and ordered a Berry Hibiscus. They brought my drink out with ONE berry. I asked the barista if i could have more and she said sure no problem. She went out back for about 3 mins and a different barista came out to tell me that they had no more. He was so irritated and stated that the berries were only for color.... read more

I live next to two Starbucks and usually never go here. I have ordered the same drink with a certain amount of syrups for the last 7 years. Every other Starbucks gets it right, but 5 times I've been to this store and everytime they get it wrong. They don't put any syrup in my drink at all. Even though I pay extra for it. They also came up with their own rule that you can't get the personal cup discount through the drive through. I have spoken with corporate and that is not the case. What is the point in buying a $30 cup and not being able to get the stars for it. (Not saying they should put the actual drink in the cup but you get double stars for the cup) they also tell me it's against "policy" to put a venti iced coffee In a Trenta cup with extra ice. I've ordered this drink the same way twice a day for seven years and never have an issue until I go to this store. Everyone serving in the drive through have no concept of customer service. They never greet you or have any interaction with you. When you try to have a conversation with them while you're waiting for your drinks, they just close the window and don't respond if you don't like your job, don't work there it's customer service basin of corporate. Starbucks realized what you guys were doing you would have a big issue. .Save your time and go to the alma school and baseline location. They are all super friendly and actual care about getting drinks right. read more

This is the only location that can not figure out what light cream means. I waited 20 min in the drive through ordered my drink with "very very light cream" and when I get the window I practically have a coffee that is only cream. The wait in the drive thru did not allow me to get my drink corrected. I can't even drink it haha. I don't think coffee with light cream should be pure white. A waste of time and money. read more

Whoever the larger, 30 something yr old woman is with the short curly brown hair pulled back with glasses who was working tonight at around 4pm, you need a major attitude adjustment. Just because you're making 14 dollars an hour, doesn't mean you get to treat delivery drivers (who you know won't tip you) terribly. Come on over to our side...I guarantee you'll be happier and your sour attitude won't ruin other people's day because youll actually be making a liveable wage. TERRIBLE customer service. beware. This location is a well-oiled machine. I receive top notch customer service each and every time and always drive away telling myself I need to submit one of these for this amazing team. Well here it is. I detoured from the shitshow of the US60 and swung by this spot on my way into work for the first time last week. The drive thru for one is always, quick moving and efficient. Welcoming, friendly, and for someone that is not quite a morning person, refreshing. I am currently fighting the cold that's going around and ordered the Citrus Defender last week. At the pick up window, the Barista recommended The Medicine Ball for next time (in which I am currently sipping as I write this). I don't know, man. I have friends in the industry and I know these guys work their asses off. All day, every day. And I think they deserve to be recognized. I have been coming to this location since they opened and have had good experiences until recently when I asked the barista if I could tip her on me debit card. She told me I could not and then told me I needed to "get it together" and get a Starbucks card. That irritated me to all hell but I left it alone. A few days ago on the way to get repairs done on my grandmothers car for her I stopped at the same Starbucks to get a coffee before heading to the dealership and the same barista placed her hand over her ears and dramatically stated "GIRL! YOU NEED TO GET THOSE BRAKES DONE OH MY GODDD ....." which was totally and completely out of line... she must be new but chances are she wont last long. read more

This place always gets my order right. Whether I'm on the mood for one of their specialty coffees or just a plain regular roast. This is my first time sitting in here since it first opened. We went in to get coffee and made our order. Ity took a while to make and then when tge coffee was made , my Mom and sister in law just took a sip when one of the workers named Rachel said with an attitude that the store is closing in a couple of minutes. My Mom checked the time and there were still 5 minutes. So for tge next 4 minutes. instead of actually enjoying the coffee at all, we were all feverishly checking the time. In any store with reasonable customer service they go on with cleaning and the customer realizes themselves. Anf if tge need to tell us them tell us nicely. We go to star bucks because we expect tge best customer service and coffee. Last tine we came to this spot we thought is tge new neighborhood star bucks and they made their coffee bad. That was in April, 4 months ago. This time we thought we should support our neighborhood Starbucks and the service was stinky. I hope they can get their act together. Maybe in another 4 months again we'll try this shop again and see if it's any better. We were excited about having a star bucks near us but so far they've inky disappointed. read more
