Gourmet Gelato and Coffee is my favorite gelato place. While it is a bit of a drive from where I live, it is worth it every time. The gelato is some of the best gelato I have ever had. Not only is the gelato of outstanding quality, but there is a large variety of flavors to choose from. While my favorite flavors are birthday cake and salted caramel, I have tried the vast majority of their flavors one way or another, and I have enjoyed every single one of them. They also have milkshakes, affogatos, and gelato pies. When I had an affogato, I got it with salted caramel gelato and coffee, and it was an excellent combination of sweet and bitter. Although they are best known for their gelato, do not sleep on their coffee. Their coffee is some of the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is nice and modern. It makes for a perfect place to relax and enjoy your gelato or your coffee. Not only is the shop tastefully decorated, but it is also clean as well. The owner, Brian, is one of the most genuine, friendly, and welcoming guys I have ever met. Every time I walk into the shop, he greets me with a warm smile and asks how my day is going. Whenever the shop is not busy, I have enjoyed many friendly conversations with him while enjoying my gelato and/or coffee. I can tell that he cares about customers having a wonderful experience in his shop. I highly recommend Gourmet Gelato and Coffee to anyone in the Phoenix area looking for an excellent gelato shop. The gelato here is creamy, flavorful and not overly sweet of the flavors I had and sampled. I went with biscotti for my first visit but plan to get the key lime one next time. Service was super friendly, and it was nice sitting on the couch getting away from the heat while enjoying my gelato. read more

I am such a fool. This place is ten minutes from my house and has been open for a couple of years now. I kept meaning to stop in and FINALLY did. It offers really great gelato. I absolutely loved the pistachio flavor. What I loved more is they let you choose two flavors in a small cup - which a lot of places won't allow. (I've never understood that! I'm so indecisive so I appreciate this rule...) So I was able to add dark chocolate to my order which complemented the pistachio really well. I saw many other flavors that appealed to me so I'm already plotting my return. They're happy to offer samples if you don't want to commit. Hands down it's my favorite gelato spot now. read more

OMGOODNESS.. OMGOODNESS! My sweet tooth is Toothing my dear YELPies! I set out for a bakery run and landed in this cute little place call Gourmet Gelato and Coffee! I got their new Cherry Lime gelato and the Coconut gelato.. YELPINGLY FANTASTIC!! The young lady that helped me was so sweet and gave suggestions. Of course I took her suggestions. Her smile was what sold it.. because you know how this YELPER is about customer service! Anywho.. this little spot has ample quaint seating and is bright and airy. I received a gift card and finally got to try this charming spot! I started with the Irish Cream coffee--absolutely divine. I also took my daughter to try their gelato, and we both loved it. My favorites were the banana and chocolate , and she enjoyed the raspberry and strawberry --both were delicious! The owner is incredibly sweet and always takes the time to explain how authentic the gelato is, and you can tell he's genuinely passionate about it. You know when a place is so good when you can't help but visit it two days in a row! Friday afternoon, it was pretty busy. A small little shop, decorated well and just simple and nice. They offer gelato and coffee. There are many flavors to choose from. Fruits are dairy free, as well as dark chocolate. Pretty much all other flavors have some dairy. You are offered to taste any flavor you want prior to ordering. I didn't try and just went ahead and ordered pistachio and strawberry, two of my favorite flavors. I ordered a medium, and there are three sizes. Small, medium and large. The next day, I went back and ordered a large and picked of course my absolute favorite flavor, pistachio, crème brûlée as well as chocolate. As I was paying, I was also offered to drink cold water for free, which was nice. The flavors are just amazing and the service is great. I think it's the owner I've seen multiple times now. He is very welcoming and friendly. I was craving gelato again today but couldn't go to grab some. We are lucky to have such a great tasting gelato place open in our area. Give them a try! Lived in this area and had no idea this cute gelato bar was here ! We were immediately greeted with a smiling man, and the indoor and outdoor ambience was really chill, lots of flavor options for kids, adults, or even sorbet. We got the key lime, coconut & pineapple. Super tasty. This local neighborhood Gelato & Coffee shop has 24 flavors! 20 flavors are gluten free and 5 flavors of sorbet. The server explained that the flavors are made on premise. I had a large bowl with two flavors: Nutella, Coconut. It was absolute deliciousness! No egg in the recipes!!! No artificial ingredients!!! Sugar-Free upon request for select flavors. Waffle cones are also available -GF!!! We're looking forward to trying a flavor with fresh espresso poured on top! read more

We decided to come on in and try some gelato, boy was it a good choice! The gentleman whom helped us was so nice and friendly, very patient as we made decisions and let us have samples! Very clean and chill inside, the seating it nice as well inside and outside! The whole experience was great and we will definitely be back! Very good service for some very good Gelato. I look forward to visiting again for another titillating experience for my palate to have. Cookie dough and chocolate brownie is definitely a match made in heaven. The true test will be the dark chocolate, but I'm sure it will exceed expectations. More visits to come. read more

This cute little place just opened two days ago! Many interesting flavors of gelato and some coffee drinks, too. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. We sampled several flavors of gelato and they were all good. Open till 10 on weekends so stop by after dinner at Nandos or live music at What's Crackin Cafe! read more

To make things more interesting, you can even get gelato sandwiched between two cookies. I was tempted, but opted for a medium gelato in a cup which allowed me to choose two flavors. At gelato shops, I look for interesting flavors. They have that here with a nice mix of creamy gelatos and fruity sorbets. I went with the cookies & cream (not particularly innovative but an all-time classic) and the cherry chip (definitely interesting). You can taste the quality of the ingredients. Staff was friendly and while the space is unassuming, it was a perfectly fine place to hang out until venturing out into the desert heat. So why four stars instead of five? They don't do shakes and that's always my favorite way to enjoy gelato.

When we arrived, nobody was working the front, but he came from the back after a minute or two. I imagine he was waiting gelato. Like pretty much any ice cream shop, they will let you sample flavors. From there, I paid quickly. Drinks (N/A): I only ordered ice cream, but they have coffee, water, and a few soft drinks. Food (4/5): You know the drill. Choose your size. Cone or a cup. To make things more interesting, you can even get gelato sandwiched between two cookies. I was tempted, but opted for a medium gelato in a cup which allowed me to choose two flavors. At gelato shops, I look for interesting flavors. They have that here with a nice mix of creamy gelatos and fruity sorbets. I went with the cookies & cream (not particularly innovative but an all-time classic) and the cherry chip (definitely interesting). You can taste the quality of the ingredients. While it wasn't exactly like the iconic flavor from India, the texture was spot on and the flavor was still really good. My kids got the Alphonso Mango and Tutti Frutti. I personally didn't love the Tutti Frutti because it tasted a bit artificial compared to the one in India, which is much better in my opinion. Nevertheless, this place definitely gives that "home away from home" feeling. Perfect for Arizona summers and a nice nostalgic stop for anyone missing Indian-style ice cream.
