Gourmet Gelato and Coffee is my favorite gelato place. While it is a bit of a drive from where I live, it is worth it every time. The gelato is some of the best gelato I have ever had. Not only is the gelato of outstanding quality, but there is a large variety of flavors to choose from. While my favorite flavors are birthday cake and salted caramel, I have tried the vast majority of their flavors one way or another, and I have enjoyed every single one of them. They also have milkshakes, affogatos, and gelato pies. When I had an affogato, I got it with salted caramel gelato and coffee, and it was an excellent combination of sweet and bitter. Although they are best known for their gelato, do not sleep on their coffee. Their coffee is some of the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is nice and modern. It makes for a perfect place to relax and enjoy your gelato or your coffee. Not only is the shop tastefully decorated, but it is also clean as well. The owner, Brian, is one of the most genuine, friendly, and welcoming guys I have ever met. Every time I walk into the shop, he greets me with a warm smile and asks how my day is going. Whenever the shop is not busy, I have enjoyed many friendly conversations with him while enjoying my gelato and/or coffee. I can tell that he cares about customers having a wonderful experience in his shop. I highly recommend Gourmet Gelato and Coffee to anyone in the Phoenix area looking for an excellent gelato shop. I am such a fool. This place is ten minutes from my house and has been open for a couple of years now. I kept meaning to stop in and FINALLY did. It offers really great gelato. I absolutely loved the pistachio flavor. What I loved more is they let you choose two flavors in a small cup - which a lot of places won't allow. (I've never understood that! I'm so indecisive so I appreciate this rule...) So I was able to add dark chocolate to my order which complemented the pistachio really well. I received a gift card and finally got to try this charming spot! I started with the Irish Cream coffee--absolutely divine. I also took my daughter to try their gelato, and we both loved it. My favorites were the banana and chocolate , and she enjoyed the raspberry and strawberry --both were delicious! You know when a place is so good when you can't help but visit it two days in a row! Friday afternoon, it was pretty busy. A small little shop, decorated well and just simple and nice. They offer gelato and coffee. There are many flavors to choose from. Fruits are dairy free, as well as dark chocolate. Pretty much all other flavors have some dairy. You are offered to taste any flavor you want prior to ordering. I didn't try and just went ahead and ordered pistachio and strawberry, two of my favorite flavors. I ordered a medium, and there are three sizes. Small, medium and large. The next day, I went back and ordered a large and picked of course my absolute favorite flavor, pistachio, crème brûlée as well as chocolate. As I was paying, I was also offered to drink cold water for free, which was nice. The flavors are just amazing and the service is great. I think it's the owner I've seen multiple times now. He is very welcoming and friendly. I was craving gelato again today but couldn't go to grab some. We are lucky to have such a great tasting gelato place open in our area. Give them a try! I had a large bowl with two flavors: Nutella, Coconut. It was absolute deliciousness! No egg in the recipes!!! No artificial ingredients!!! Sugar-Free upon request for select flavors.
