Restroom timers anyone? I just had the strangest experience at this particular Starbucks. After grabbing coffee & studying for a bit, I felt a little cramping coming so I headed for their restroom. In about 8-9 mins, a startlingly loud knocking came, w/ the person asking about my restroom use, I said yes I am and I'm OK. In just another 5 mins, the 2nd round of loud knocking came, but this time the person ordered me to get out: "I need you to come out NOW". I confronted this employee and their manager, who defended their actions as preventing restroom use abuse, and that they had timers, the 1st one at 7 and a half mins mark, the 2nd one at another 5 mins mark. I'm perfectly fine with any cafe checking in on the customer (which I think is a great practice for medical reasons too as I'm in the medical field). However, there is a big difference between asking "Are you OK?" versus knocking aggressively and assertively ordering the customer: "I need you to come out NOW". What if the customer still had legitimate use of the restroom after the initial 12 mins due to just basic physiological needs? Good thing that I was just getting off the toilet at the 2nd knocking and trying to wash my hands. Can you imagine how it'd feel for a customer still needing to use the toilet at that point? read more

05/30/19: 4.0 out of 5 - This Starbucks is spacious and clean, but there's always room for improvement. Unfortunately, this one can be crowded. The noise level is good considering that it's a Starbucks that have free WiFi, comfortable seating and tables. Regardless, the partners are nice and, like many other Starbucks, they are consistent in making my drink right. That's what makes them great at what they do. This location is my "go-to" when I'm back in the area. read more

I suppose it's because I'm getting older, but in my opinion it's never acceptable to not thank a customer. Just left the Oak Grove Starbucks and this was the parting comment from the employee..."receipt for ya'?" I said no thank you, she turned and walked away...wow! Not a word of thanks, no "have a nice day"...nothing. Most Starbucks employees have exceptional customer service skills so I would chalk this up to poor store management. read more

The service at this Starbucks is rude and pretentious! There is almost always a long line and they take forever to make their overpriced drinks. The only reason I was even going here again after the first time I said I would never go back was because of a gift card I received, now that it's all used up, I'll be sure to NEVER return. Of the locations that cross my path(s), this one comes in last. It used to be my favorite. But over the year something changed. The line builds up fast and I am consistently surprised in the delays from order to drink in hand. My cute little demon always seems to charm people. This is my usual stop for coffee. There's no drive thru but the line usually moves pretty fast. They have a Clover. Big parking lot. Next to Albertsons. If I feel like a banana, I just run in Albertsons and get one for much cheaper. Great summer hang out for me, love the outdoor seating. In a strip mall with Chinese food, Subway, a liquor store, Sally Beauty Supply, a tanning place, Rite Aid, Albertsons with a Redbox, gas station, McD, Taco Bell...can't remember what else. A Weight Watchers maybe? Walgreens is across the parking lot. read more

How in the world can you have the audacity to sell a small cup of your regular and decaffeinated coffees and charge $1.75? I've had coffee at Les Schwab's Tires that tastes better. And it's free! If the coffee was good, it would be reasonable. Now it's just bitter and nearly flavorless. It doesn't even have any aroma. Are they boiling it? Your business model is great and you're pretty good to your employees. I don't get it? Gourmet doesn't mean crappy. I will thank you Starbucks, for teaching me how to make a tasty brew. (Just buy the beans you like from the grocery store and use at least twice the recommended amount per cup). Once again, years ago it was pretty good. Especially the Yukon blend. I loved it. Oh, and also give me one of your stale, overpriced pastries while I'm here, too. Though erroneously credited to P.T. Barnum, his saying was right! And like Jimmy Fallon said, "please hire even more staff to talk to each other instead of the customers". I think you can do better, if you wanted to.
