i got one of their specials which i think was a latte with house made brown sugar syrup... coffee was SO good, & the barista knew what she was doing, perfect ratio of everything in my latte and the housemade syrup was soo yummy without the drink being overly sweet. i was on a lunch break so i was in and out, but the vibe here looked very chill & clean, looked cozy to study or sit down to catch up with a friend. convenient location in lake oswego too, parking was easy with parking spots on the street diagonal to the businesses funny because i see a review before me complaining about their pricing, but i actually literally had the opposite thought as i was coming out, they were super decently priced, especially for being around the portland area!!! read more

It was not the flavor profile I was looking for in a mocha but was otherwise well made. It's very clean inside and the modern design is nice. Mocha - a bit lacking in flavor to be honest. About par (2.75-3) and personally prefer Peet's mocha. Vanilla latte with almond milk - smooth and good flavor. Well balanced and just the right amount of sweetness. 4 stars. Friendly staff and chill vibe although a bit too sterile industrial look for my particular tastes. LOVED the sparkling water addition. It's easy to argue that this is the best coffee shop in LO. The atmosphere is awesome and the fact that they serve Upper Left coffee means that they have legit credibility. I appreciate that they bring some of the best from Portland out here to the burbs. The menu is fairly priced for the market and the baristas are always very friendly. I like that the shop has local artist featured and is in essence a mini art gallery. Parking is typically easy to find out on the street and the only thing that can be challenging is they have limited hours, especially on weekends. Otherwise stop in and enjoy the best of LO. Definitely a nice place to stop when you're running errands in the greater downtown area and get your afternoon pick me up! read more

After reading through the reviews, I see we aren't the only ones being asked to leave before we've received our order. Someone was hanging art and the chairs and table where the art was being hung was unavailable. Two tables and chairs where the art was already hung were open. We started to sit and an employee (owner?) asked us to sit elsewhere. I started to move and he asked if there was a problem. My husband said no, he assumed these ones were open because the art was already hung in this area. He told the lady behind the counter to cancel our order and we needed to leave. I was already at the new table. It didn't register with me what was happening until my husband told me. I have no idea what happened. So strange. We do coffee shops all over the the world. I still don't understand what happened. I thought maybe he was having a bad day but after reading that this happened to others, it wasn't that. I hope something changes for him! That can't feel good for anyone in the shop, including himself. read more

If you appreciate well-roasted, specialty beans, you'll understand the difference. As for the "energy" or "smiling" comments -- I think sometimes people expect over-the-top hospitality that feels more scripted than genuine. What you get here is authenticity. They run a tight, efficient shop, and they maintain clear boundaries about outside drinks and seating during busy times. That's not rudeness -- that's protecting a small business with limited space. I've seen them keep the shop clean (yes, sometimes that means you'll smell cleaning products if they're sanitizing -- which I personally appreciate). I've seen them manage crowded mornings calmly. I've seen regulars greeted warmly. Running a small business six days a week is no small feat. They deserve support, not nitpicking over perceived tone or misunderstandings. If you value small businesses, high-quality coffee, and owners who take pride in what they do, this place is absolutely worth visiting. The coffee is fine but nothing at all special about it. The building is cold and has a minimalist vibe which to me seems sterile and boring as hell. They have tables in back that are often closed and placed together into one giant table. no one wants to sit together with strangers at this table so.... lame. They have also put in a 90min time limit for hanging out. this time limit has lost them the business of our three lady group. we all bought multiple rounds of coffee but wanted to stay for 3 hours. they actually told three middle aged women doing embroidery and colouring, that we couldn't stay. despite buying 6 drinks between us and a pastry. Pastries also are lackluster and almost no variety. There are many other coffee shops. this one is a major pass. read more

There are a few really great coffee shops, but I have really loved the flavor and consistency of Morse above the others. The service has been really great, and I love the clock behind the counter. This is a very nice and clean coffee shop. I believe it's pretty new, about a year old. We had thought they do pour overs but they only were able to do a drip for us. It was pretty good coffee for a drip and the gal working the counter was very nice. We went back the next day for a 2nd cup. I have my own espresso machine at home so I don't go out that often and when ours broke, waiting on a new one, I went looking for a good cappuccino. This place has it down. There's only one size of cappuccino, a 6 oz, and that's the way it should be and it's executed perfectly. They even give you a tiny glass of sparkling water to cleanse the pallet. Wow-- this place is great!! A newer coffee shop in Lake Oswego that's only hip and modern, but also has incredible coffee. Had 3 vanilla lattes and a mocha among 4 people and each of us were over the moon. I got an extra shot of espresso in my latte and for the first time in forever I actually really, REALLY the caffeine-- this coffee is strong-- and it is good!! After having coffee and V walking around the lake for a bit they didn't even look at me sideways when I popped back in to use the bathroom before I left the area. Limited pastry options, but the one I had was perfectly done. I wish they opened earlier and stayed open later. Maybe a better sounds system. I admit it. I'm a coffee snob. It's hard not to be coming from Portland. I came of coffee age in a town known for java snobbery. I have high expectations for the coffee shops I like to frequent. One qualification is that their menu must be shorter than an unabridged copy of Dune, and they pass with flying colors. This is the only coffee shop in town that isn't Starbucks or a Starbucks knockoff and my go-to spot when my home office walls start to close in on me.
