This was our very first Dutch Bros. visit ever and this was definitely unplanned. We were on a summer vacation to Portland and we were just exploring and saw this place, close to one of the Max station. We do not have a Dutch Bros. close by where we live. It was hot and we needed a break from walking so we went in. We decided to order the largest Chocolate Crunch Freeze that they had and it's quite refreshingly good. We can definitely taste the yummy chocolate and it's not too sweet. We really cannot compare this to any of their other drinks. The place is very clean and so was the restroom. Definitely needed a code to get in the restroom. This was a great detour for us and that huge size of a drink was enough for all three of us. Definitely wish I can try their other drinks. I've had nothing but good experiences at this location, usually stopping by in the evenings. Evening staff is patient and fast. I've had great experiences with Eli, and Phoebe, and I think Kaylee... but I went by in the morning recently, and there was an Ashlynn there, that was likely one of the most rude employees I've ever experienced. She was short, and seemed as though simply ordering a coffee was a huge inconvenience. I'd recommend going in the evenings, so as not to cross paths with her. read more

These guys are my go-to spot for Dutch Bros. In fact, I'll drive past another location, even if it happens to be closer, just to get to these guys. Yep, they are that awesome. There is one not too far from where I work that, although tempted to swing through on the way home. Nope, they've screwed my order up more times than an average McDonald's or Taco Bell! I'll stick to this location as they are consistently efficient, friendly (not TOO friendly), and at times helpful if I'm unsure about my selection. These guys truly embody the spirit of Dutch Bros. The other nearby locations could really get a lesson from them. read more

I had someone making my drink and her hair got into the cup when she reached down to get ice and then it lingered. I let it go but then when the lemonade was poured and she leaned forward to grab a lid her hair dipped into my lemonade again. When she went to hand it to me I told her "im sorry but your hair went into my drink" she gave me a stink face and said "I'll make you another one" with an attitude. She turned and gossiped with her co-worker. She did not even apologize. She made me feel bad because I did not want a drink with hair in it. I had to drive off because I couldnt keep it together. Worst Dutch Bros ever... I try to avoid this location and tend to give them a try again due to location. But it never fails - my drink is ALWAYS messed up. And when you try to tell them it doesn't look right (the same drink I get every single day) they argue with you. I notice the person(s) making the drink is always In some deep gossiping conversation with another employee, clearly not paying attention. So I came here at about 7 AM on my way to work. I am not from Portland and I had never heard of Dutch Brothers coffee. This place is adorable, eccentric, and my hazelnut latte was absolutely delicious!!! Even though they were pretty busy, the gentleman at the window had an entire conversation with me which was very pleasant in the 30 seconds it took to give me my coffee and collect payment. I always frequent this Dutch and I've always had good customer service and experience, but today 2/4/24 I went and I tried their Dutch Luv drink for the first time. I took 1 sip and it was very off putting and wasn't good at all, but since this was my first time trying it I wasn't sure what it is supposed to taste like. After trying it I immediately turned around to go back and ask for a different drink in return which I've never done. I paid $7 for the drink and also tipped. When I came back the "shift lead" told me they wouldn't remake a drink for me just because I "didn't like it" and I explained to him that it just tasted very off and thats why I said I didn't like it. His customer service skills are very poor. I've always worked in the food industry and with customer service and we always want to make the paying customer feel happy and satisfied. Just the fact that he couldn't give me a different drink was baffling. read more

My favorite place for COFFEE!! There's one with walking distance. Great service, always helpful with recommendations or input. Very large menu from what's listed, so if you know what you like but can't make up your mind, Google search their menu they can make a drink about three different ways. I've lived in Portland for almost a year but haven't tried Dutch Brothers until just recently! The small hut/drive through coffee places are a new concept for me coming from the east coast. I assumed the coffee wouldn't be very good (coffee snob!), but I was sooo wrong! I get an Americano with regular milk and it's perfect! It's not at all bitter and just the perfect pick me up! I've been 3 times in the past week and each time the baristas working there are super nice! It was raining today (shocker) and one of the girls came out to get my order and the car behind me so that we wouldn't have to wait as long! I loved that extra step of customer care! This is apparently my brother and sister in law's favorite coffee in the Portland area. They've never really been big coffee drinkers nor do they go to Starbucks or Coffee Bean regularly. In fact, I don't even think they have Coffee Bean in Portland. It's all Starbuck, Stumptown, and other various smaller places. This place is a shack, literally, so it's either walk up window service or drive thru. They told me to get one thing, the iced Kahlua Kicker. I'm not sure exactly what goes into that thing, besides coffee and kahlua of course, but it was pretty darm tasty. And at $2 bucks for a medium (which was a little? bigger than a "grande" at SB), prices ain't too bad either. Of course, it helps that there's no sales tax in Oregon *sigh*. I never thought I'd feel so enthusiastic about a chain drive-thru coffee stand. Especially in the land of yummy local coffee establishments. Especially when it's named Dutch Brothers. It sounds like a chintzy bread company. When i first went to Dutch Bros., in a hurry, in the neighborhood, and somewhat desperate, I didn't expect much. I just wanted some freaking coffee. Now. So I roll up to the window. The two baristas were super friendly, dancing around the small space to whatever music they felt like playing. They don't seem to expect tips, so are pretty grateful when they get them. The menu was very affordable and diverse. I think they even have a hemp milk option for those who nay-say the cow and soy varieties. They also had several sugarfree syrup options (I'm very stingy about my carbs). And who doesn't love punch cards and freebies? When I had my latte handed to me by a smiling perky barista through the window, I was again taken by surprise. Their espresso is actually GOOD. I mean, damned tasty, with a bold, roasted (but not burnt) flavor. They even have a few tables next to the drive-thru for foot traffic customers. Yes, I drove away happy. Oh my goodness. This place is like my coffee heaven . Everywhere I go, I dream of this place. I highly recommend the "Annihilator". The mix of their 3 Bean Espresso Roast + Chocolate Macadamia + Kick Me mix had killed and sent me straight to coffee heaven. And most nights when I have to stay awake for 2 nights w/o sleeping, I drive through Dutch Bros and get the "ER 911"! 6 shots of Espresso w/ Irish cream jolt my brains awake and make my heart go Thump, Thump with love. I've never been happier to pay $3 for a cup of joe. They've many branches and here's a little secret: Tualatin's make the most consistent and tastiest annihilator. Here's the deal. I don't give 5 stars for nothing. I probably wouldn't even if they gave back massages along with my coffee. Or even if they paid me to get coffee there. Dutch Bros, not only this location, but every one I've been to, have ensured that you'll never see me at Starbucks (as long as there is a DB around) I've been stopping in at this location for a few years now. Jessica, the manager (assistant manager), has become as good a friend as anyone who has a 2 minute interaction with you every morning. Even baristas who I'm not familiar with know exactly what drink I get, how I like it and my name. I'm amazed. They are personable, attentive and nice. Beyond that, the coffee drink I get, which is simple, is always what I expect and enjoy. I've NEVER experienced the level of service, and the quality of coffee from Starbucks that I've had at DB. Before I started coming here, I had the same experience at the 174th and Division location (I had another fantastic experience there recently, I'll review that separately.) Never, in years, have I had a bad experience here. And to me, that's worth an elusive 5 star rating. Tip: Parking and walking to the walk-up window in the mornings won't always save you time. Many of the drive through customers are regulars, and because the baristas know their drinks the line moves fairly quickly. I've seen frustrated looking people standing at the window while 3 cars, and mine go through the drive through. read more

I've been known to drive several miles out of my way to see Dutch Bros coffee over any competitors. I'm a frequent (nearly daily at times) visitor at my two local Dutch Bros (Scappoose and St. Helens) and I've been to every one in the greater Portland Area. I frequent this location often because I work near here. Dutch Bros brand of service is great: friendly, laid back, rock and roll, but committed to a great experience. Dutch Bros SE on Foster is working towards this, but they have a few areas of improvement. First, the staff have got to get moving faster. They have one drive up and a walk up and usually three people working and the line could not move more slowly. I have *never* waited at a DB like I have to wait nearly every time I come here. Three cars waiting = 15 minutes or more. My DB friends in Scappoose and St Helens can be three deep on BOTH drive throughs and it's a 6 minute wait. What are they doing in there? Why are they so slow? Secondly, the solicitation for tips is rude. If I pay at this location with a card, I am handed the screen to add a tip. I have never been to a DB location and been solicited for a tip. The drinks are good, the staff are friendly. I have NEVER received an apology for waiting but I have at other locations for a much shorter wait. Get it together a bit and this location could be really great. read more

We heard from all our Portland friends how wonderful DB is. On a recent visit, we made a special trip over to Foster to try the legendary DB coffee. What we failed to notice was that our friends were only bragging about their specialty drinks, not how good their coffee was. We arrived on a Thursday morning about 9:30 AM and waited in a short line for our drinks. My wife ordered a small latte, and I ordered a medium latte. What we got was barely drinkable. I would best describe our drinks as brownish watery hot milk crowned with an inch of foam. Down near the bottom of the cup I detected a faint bit of coffee. The only reason I finished the cup was because I needed something to wash down the pastry we bought elsewhere (DB only sells beverages). We're not snobs; a few days later we were in Vancouver BC enjoying a fine cup we purchased from a truck vendor at a farmers market. But we at least expect our latte to taste like it has coffee in it. If we only drank fancy flavored drinks, we probably would have enjoyed DB as much as anyone else. read more

We do not have these in Seattle, but I believe we will one day, I will franchise some myself. I went to several of these per my brothers recommendation, and they are, by far, my favorite coffee place. The service and standards are incredibly consistent, even when I went to franchises with different owners. Usually I drink regular, but I had to try a Carmalizer, (sugar free/non-fat) as they say it is their most popular. Both the regular (private reserve) and the carmalizer are real, really good. I cannot recommend this place enough. Note - be sure to get a punch card! I went there about 4 times before even knowing about it. read more

My number one reason for loving this place is the customer service alone. I have never once been let down by their efforts to ensure your time waiting in line is not in vain. The fact that they have a drive through makes it so convenient, as it is hard for me to go in and out of places with a small child. Although there is typically a small wait, it's always worth the wait and they give each customer their undivided attention. I'm not gonna lie though, not a huge fan of how sweet their drinks are and I may or may not be a fan of their biggest competition, but I will always opt for Dutch Brothers because they work so hard. You can ask them I cut the sweetness or ask for their recommendations. My baby gets their little smoothie as a treat from time to time and he loves all the people at the window. They interact with him and make him smile. Also, they always have a treat for my dog whenever I bring her with me too. Keep up the great work guys. Rarely on this side of town, but had to grab a cup to stay alive that one early morning. Drove up and saw about 5 cars in the drive-thru but didnt want to get out of my car, so this was my only choice. The line moved REALLY fast! Got up to the window, had the young man ask me how I'm doing, whats on my agenda for the day, the other 2 girls in the back were working away happily, meanwhile I ordered my soy mexican mocha and the transaction was complete in less than 2 minutes! Drove away happy until I took a sip-it was a lukewarm cup of soy milk :( I was pissed! I tried it a few more times to make sure I wasnt being high maintenance and overly sensitive lol. Nope. So then...I'm going towards lloyd ctr and I remembered theres another Dutch bros on Grand! So I drive up, tell them my sob story, with my cash out ready to pay for another cup, and they are so sweet and apologetic for their step sister on Foster, and one of the guys working actually tasted my first cup I had given them to throw away hahaha #onlyinportland he then told me it wasnt even soy milk!!! They wouldnt take my money so I threw it in the tip jar. They were so amazingly genuine. Needless to say Forster is fired, and Grand is hired! read more

Often times the baristas have lengthy conversations with customers before even putting in an order and making drinks. I've waited 15 minutes for two cars in front of me multiple times. I'm appreciative to one of the girls who normally works Tuesday night, but even with consistent tipping, other baristas lack attentiveness to time and their line of customers. I am a big fan of Dutch Brothers coffee. I try to get a coffee drink from here whenever I want to take a trip, or go for a walk, or for special occasions like my b-day! Last weekend before heading out on my way to see some family in WA (about 4 hour drive) my husband and I grabbed some 911 "white chocolate" coffee drinks (6 shots) and were on our way. Not only does the coffee taste great, but it is strong and does the trick of keeping us alert & "very awake." The staff is extremely friendly and is always blasting some crazy music which lends me to believe they enjoy working there.. There seems to be a good following because there is always at least 3 cars at the drive through when we show up at whatever time of day! We prefer to park and go to the walk-up window. I ordered a French toast Breve and my wife ordered a birthday cake mocha iced. Both were mediums. Honestly her medium was GIGANTIC and about the size of a Starbucks venti. It was a great experience. Why is the Woodburn location listed, but neither Oregon City one is? Oh well. I recently visited the Foster location, and as always I was happy. I love the atmosphere of Dutch Bros -- you can go in almost any time of day and have a chat with the baristas. I left my punch card there once, and I was able to pick it up two weeks later. However, what keeps me from giving Dutch Bros the five stars its service deserves are two faults: 1. With the great atmosphere and friendly environment comes a lot of room for error; there is about a 25-35% chance your drink order will be wrong. I've had a medium milky way become a black coffee, a black coffee with milk (what I ended up with at Foster), milk and flavoring, just flavoring, and at one point a large Red Bull. (No, nobody else was ordering at the time.) 2. This is related to the Oregon City locations: worst. Planning. Ever. Both locations block off major intersections, one of which can block off train tracks with more than four or five cars in line (almost a given in the morning). This location also offers almost zero parking, making 10th street hell during rush hour. Fortunately, the Beavercreek location only blocks off a major strip mall. Faults aside, I still love the Dutch. They just need to improve their accuracy in coffee preparation. :D read more

More than Starbucks and even the premium place near my house -- where the coffee is way better. It's not like there's much overhead. Customers can't even sit inside.
