    Drive thru line

Stopped by the North Bend Outlet Starbucks for a quick coffee run, but the drive-thru setup threw me off. It shares the lot with Safeway gas, and the flow of cars can be awkward. The line took longer than it should have, and the service felt a little indifferent. I've had better experiences at other locations, but this one's still convenient if you're in the area. Just don't expect speed or smiles here. JY review

Dirty...went in to use the bathroom & it felt too dirty to purchase a drink here. Not really busy

It has been a couple of years since they took out one of my favorite Starbucks stores from North Bend. This is the replacement store and it fulfills its purpose. This new store is more convenient especially if you are on a road trip and just need a Starbucks fix. It has sufficient seating for a fairly large crowd although it can only accommodate two people in the bathrooms. The baristas, when I was there were capable even though my whole milk vanilla latte was made with coconut milk the first time. It was quickly rectified and many apologies were given. Not really a big issue as I got my drink and it was perfect. The chonga bagels were fresh and toasted to perfection. The only negative, and the reason I gave it four stars, is that it is part of a gas station.

They have several alternative milk options, are very reasonably priced and offer $1 refills on drip coffee, and have lots of pastry (including gluten free, vegan, and gluten-free vegan options!) options as well. The medium drip coffee wasn't my all time fav but wasn't bad either! Staff were super nice, and service was quick. There is a huge amount of indoor and outdoor seating; it was a place where you could both be there to read/study or to catch up with friends. The best part is that the outdoor seating has a beautiful view of Mt. Sai, the most popular hike in the area. We will definitely come back for our coffee needs when passing through North Bend. PS they have a loyalty program if you're local!

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service…read more We stopped at Huxdotter Coffee in North Bend on Friday and ordered a 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, a 16 oz Mango Smoothie, and a ham and cheese croissant through the drive-through. At the window, we received the croissant and the 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, but were handed a 12 oz Mango Smoothie. We immediately pointed out that the drink was the wrong size. Rather than simply acknowledging the mistake and correcting the order, the employee told us that the order had been entered as a 12 oz drink. We reiterated that we had specifically ordered a 16 oz Mango Smoothie. Instead of saying something as simple as, "I'm sorry, we'll remake that for you," we were told that she would have to refund the original charge and then charge us again for the 16 oz drink. Seriously? Apparently, Huxdotter has developed an innovative new approach to customer service: If we make a mistake, the customer gets to fix it. The mistake wasn't ours. We ordered a 16 oz drink, and the employee or the person taking the order entered it incorrectly. Yet instead of taking responsibility for the error and providing the customer service one would reasonably expect, we were essentially given a bureaucratic explanation of why correcting their mistake was going to require additional transactions. We were on our way to an appointment and didn't have time to wait around sorting out an issue that should have taken less than a minute to resolve. We simply said, "Never mind," and left. What is especially disappointing is that this wasn't about the cost of a smoothie. It was about how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen. Good businesses acknowledge them, apologize, and make them right. Telling the customer that they have to go through a refund and repurchase process because the business entered the order incorrectly is simply poor customer service. Unfortunately, this experience left such a bad impression that we won't be going back. There are plenty of coffee shops willing to treat their customers better.

On the rainy morning that we stopped by, there was only one other party in the cafe having breakfast and playing board games. The woman who greeted us behind the counter was warm and friendly. If you enjoy flavored lattes, there are plenty of options here. They even have alcoholic flavorings they can add in -- think Bailey's, to spice up your drink if you're looking to jump start your morning in a different kind of way. I ended up being boring and got an oat milk cappuccino. The espresso in my drink was strong and the oat milk was frothed nicely. In addition to my drink, I also ordered a spinach topped brioche bun, which tasted great warmed up; the brioche was nice and fluffy. If you're looking for a place to sit down for a bit to get some work done, this would also be a great place to go, with plenty of seating available and free Wi-Fi. For the friendly service alone, I would 100% stop by again for a morning coffee.

Anyway, I came in around noon on Sunday, so basically brunch time, and ordered the French Toast with Macrina cinnamon swirl brioche, vanilla bean, and real maple syrup. I also added a side of two eggs, which I believe I got over medium. I walked around for a bit while waiting for my order, and when I went to pick it up, one of the guys working there repeatedly asked if everything was all right. I'm not entirely sure what prompted that, but the interaction felt a little awkward. I ate inside at my own table. The French toast itself was good, but definitely too sweet for me. I used maybe three-quarters of the maple syrup they provided, which admittedly didn't help my cause, but even apart from that, the cinnamon-swirl brioche was already quite sweet. If you're ordering it, I'd recommend going easy on the syrup at first and adding more as needed. Overall, decent post-race brunch and the French toast tasted good, but between the sweetness and the slightly awkward experience, I'd give it 3/5. 3/5 stars Last visited: August 30, 2026

On both visits, I was not greeted or acknowledged for some time while staff appeared focused on conversations with one another or in their own world working on something. A simple hello and recognition that a customer has entered goes a long way. I understand that making drinks and preparing food takes time, but there seems to be an opportunity to improve efficiency especially when there is more than one staff person working. Also, when customers feel welcomed and staff are attentive (with a smile), the entire experience tends to run more smoothly. The biggest issue wasn't the wait itself, it was feeling overlooked as a customer. With a little more focus on customer service and teamwork, I think the experience could improve significantly.
