Now, I haven't been here in a few months due to time restrictions, but it's hit or miss, like most places in the North Port/Port Charlotte area. I have to say your experience at a location should not vary from hour to hour or day to day, depending on who is working there at that moment. I walked in this morning, and no one even greeted me like they used to. I placed my mobile to go order before I left the house and arrived 10 minutes later without my drink, not even in the process of being made. There was no line inside and two cars in the drivethru. There were about five employees in the back of the counter area just talking and two girls slowly making drinks. I waited about another 5 minutes before the barista acknowledged me and asked my name. When I told her, she said, "I'll start on yours right now." This staff used to be on point and hustling. I can't help but wonder if all the good, efficient, hard working employees either transferred to the other North Port location or quit due to the lack of competence of the new employees that are being brought on. I can't wait for the new Port Charlotte location to be built and opened because I truly don't want to stop here anymore. It's out of my way, and I refuse to inconvenience myself for lack of competence and subpar overpriced lattes. After all that, my latte didn't even taste good. read more

Wow, just wow. Two "manager" types had papers and crap sprawled across the big table with the electrical outlets. The place was full of customers, yet they were taking up significant space. They were mostly gabbing but then progressed to discussing store personnel. The conversation was quite critical. The entire store could hear this conversation. I was seated two tables away and heard it all. This was very unprofessional behavior on the part of these two manager types. Many customers noticed not only the nature of their conversation but also the inconsiderate way they took up the space that paying customers might want to use. On top of the really long wait in the drive through once to the window they had us wait several minutes to get a coffee cake, and once they handed us that they then said they had to go get the brownie and we then waited more. I love their hot chocolate! I order it half dark and half white chocolate with extra whip cream and caramel drizzle. Simply the best! I prefer this location as opposed to the Port Charlotte Target location because of the drive thru. Beware, the drive thru line gets pretty long during busy hours like the morning and lunch rush. When you charge BIG money $$$ for your product that's your choice as a business. As a customer, you can either pay or not. That said if I pay a premium product or service, I EXPECT premium product, service and experience! I have LITERALLY spent THOUSANDS @ Starbucks all over this country over the last couple of decades. Today, on Thanksgiving Eve, my wife and I stopped by this location as we have before. First we order 2 Carmel Brûlée venti Frappuccinos with extra whip & toppings and 3 extra shots of espresso added. Being we were adding 3+ more ounces of espresso, I asked the order person to please let our barista know to please pour the additional coffee left in the blander into a separate cup and dont dump it down the drain like they always do. The person did not understand what I was asking and I literally had to explain it to her 3 times till I gave up. So I decided to just move down after paying and let the barista know my wishes directly and politely. By way, I paid over $20 for TWO DRINKS! SO I moved down and asked. I watched closely and saw the Barista make the first on and present it to us and I again reminded my request for the balance left in the blender. He gave me the most discussed look on his face and pour about half of what was left in the blender and I asked for the rest and he just ignored me and went on to make my second and AGAIN I had to request the balance! Which once again he gave me less than all of the left over in the blender. Keep in mind it was somewhat busy but I just spent and I waited my turn so I DON'T CARE I just paid $20 for two drinks! I have seen Starbucks workers pour and waste sooooo much product down the drain over the decades it makes me wonder! Hey Starbucks corp! Did you ever take the time to watch what happens when you pour a Frappuccino and let it sit there for about 7 mins? It drops down to reveal it only receive 3/4 of the cup! The rest was air! The reason I am taking my PRECIOUS time to write this review is because I was EXTRAORDINARILY PISSED!!! The barista Josh had a HUGE "I want to be ANYWHERE but here right now!!!" on his face even before we had any interaction. Could have of been from him trying to concentrate but when he was shot, disrespectful and rolled his eyes at me, I knew he just was a total useless ass! I am really thinking of passing on Starbucks in the future! I have to spend all my reward stars and get the balance of my money back from my Starbucks card first! Went to Starbucks in North Port, FL Only Starbucks that has refused to make my order of an iced cappuccino. I have been drinking them for years and have ordered them across the country. Twice this particular location has refused to make one. They say their manager won't let them because they were making them too inconsistently. Sounds like a training issue maybe. They are only able to make iced lattes with an extra charge for cold foam. Will not return. read more

The people here are so super nice and always accommodating. My only issue is since COVID the line is wrapped around the building and extremely slow moving. I literally waited 40 minutes tonight and I should have given up waiting but I really wanted tea they should be offering a pick up only inside to alleviate some of the strain of the drive thru or some alternative. A fine coffee shop, indeed. I patronized this Starbucks twice while in the area, and both were positive experiences. The staff I interacted with were friendly, and fast with the coffee and tea. Likewise, the restaurant itself was comfy and enjoyable, both on the sunny patio and in the homey little dining room; plus, I just liked "something" about this shop's atmosphere, hard to put my finger on but no less there. Parking was a bit awkward, but only because it was shared with so many other businesses crammed into a small tract. But no matter: once there, I broke out a packed lunch, and sipped good beverages while reading a good book and watching the world go by -- wonderful! I had no problems at this Starbucks, and would gladly return. My sincere thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service. The AM crew work amazingly well together especially since they typically have a drive-thru line that goes around the block. Only issue I have is that when you enter the actual physical store you have no more priority than the mobile and drive-thru orders. Seems rude and is very frustrating. the prices have gone up- too much to pay 5.00 for a small coffee. your points expire who knows how quickly?? no one can give a straight answer when you call their call center in the Philippines . you have to keep calling to get your points registered - nothings works properly when you sign up for a challege. now you need to use up 200 of your free points for free coffee. no iced coffee except some syrupy drink ugh. the frozen food is very expensive & inedible. last time i went 04/23 very few customers & no drive tru cars. gee i wonder why!!!!! the coffee is NOT that great read more
