Worst parking lot set-up ever!! It's small and inconvenient. The drive thru cars have to wrap around the building and block parked cars in certain areas because lack of space. I only stop here because it's the only Starbucks around this area and close to highway 64. Service has always been mediocre and I've never been bedazzled by this place but it's really your only option around this location. read more

They always have an attitude and people are always behind the counter with one person working on the orders in the store, while roughly 3-4 people were at the drive thru. My husband and I frequent this starbucks very often. I order the same drink every time (a simple drink I should add) and the baristas know me by order and face. But no matter how many times I come here, they can never seem to get my order right. I work right down the street and my husband likes to surprise me with my favorite drink and snack, and majority of the time I need to send him back to get it fixed. And not to mention this place is slow and not always the best or friendly service. If I am craving a drink in the morning, I know to leave at least 15 minutes early because I know I'll be waiting. Every single person that I spoke to that worked there was the WORST ATTITUDE. If you do not like your job, find antoher one because that place will lose customers over their HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This used to be a wonderful Starbucks. Fast. Accurate. Clean. Super friendly. No longer. No matter the time of day there is always a wait. Even when I'm the only person in line I can sit there for 5 minutes or more for a basic latte or macchiato. Yesterday, however, took the cake. Their coffee tasted horrible. We had them remake the drink and it tasted worse the second time. And while we got a refund, it took 5 minutes for that to go through as well. So what should have been a (relatively) quick stop turned into a THIRTY MINUTE ordeal that made me late for an appointment in St. Louis. Lest you think this is my issue for being picky, my daughter spit out the drink. It's the same drink I've gotten for 10 years now. On our previous trip there, the barista slammed the window in my face, then rolled her eyes while I tried to get her attention ( thinking I couldn't see her behind the film). They are almost always OVER staffed, but they just walk around randomly, wiping dirt around on tables or counters with filthy rags, and stopping to chat and complain about customers in front of the customers. It really, really sucks. After over a decade as a very, very loyal Starbucks user, I'm finally broken of my "addiction", particularly where this store is concerned. read more

I'm a former barista, though for a different Starbucks, so I tend to judge them a bit strictly. This one makes the drinks correctly and quickly. I'm not always thrilled with the customer service as sometimes they can be a bit rude. But most of them are friendly. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. In 2 years of multiple weekly stops, I have not once gotten the wrong drink order! There was even one time when I spilled over $20 worth of drinks in the parking lot, but the barista who saw this was kind enough to replace my entire order! The cafe area is generally very clean and well kept, but be warned that this place can get BUSY. Very good Starbucks location. They are always on point with my fairly straight forward latte order. I usually add a shot of espresso and you would not believe how often various locations forget that or even forget to add flavoring syrup. Their employees are always fast and friendly which unfortunately for my wallet, influences me to keep stopping by for calorie dense goodness. Coffee snobs and hipsters hate them, but I can't drink anything else. The only downside is the fairly awkward drive through arrangement. On a busy day it loops around the entire building. I just returned from a business trip to New Jersey where there is a Dunkin Donuts on nearly every corner and to me, there is no comparison if you like premium coffee drinks: Starbucks beats Dunkin. read more

I usually don't review chains, and honestly Starbucks isn't my favorite coffee. Today though, they really made a difference in my day...so my dog got out this morning, I didn't have time for my coffee because I was looking for my dog for 40 minutes before I had to take the kids to school. Starbucks has a great app, and because of their app, I was able to order ahead, and knew it would be ready when I arrived. Unfortunately an errant driver ran a red light and I clipped his bumper on the way to take my kids to school and get my coffee. Everyone was safe and uninjured, but the result was that it took close to an hour to pick up our Starbucks order. I know...why did I still pick it up silly right?? Well sometimes you need a little extra pick up after a really rough start. We got to Starbucks, they had already disposed of my order, but immediately made me a fresh delicious latte to replace it. This Starbucks is the closest and I think the only one near the base so I can just imagine how many people go here every single day. That being said, service can be pretty slow when they are super busy. One time the line was so long at drive thru that I just went inside for my order, there was only one person ahead of me but my drink still took about 15 minutes. That was probably the longest I've ever had to wait at a Starbucks. Also, the cafe itself is pretty small so there isn't a lot of seating and it just doesn't feel as cozy. As for quality of drinks, it's on and off for me, most drinks are just right but whenever I get a frappucino there's something off, either too watery or overly sweet. I'm gonna be back though...but only because the location is convenient to the area. read more

Worst, slowest Starbucks ever, and they're rarely apologetic. Half the time my drink isn't even right. If you are actually in the store and not in the drive-thru, they don't even acknowledge you when you walk in, even if you're there for mobile pick-up. If you are in the drive-thru, be prepared to wait in a line that wraps around the building and overflows into the street, where you'll wait about five minutes per car. I'd give this zero stars if I could. I've never seen a Starbucks like this. read more

I have almost quit going ro this Starbuck's because of their poor service and quality of my drink. When going through the drive through, it is not unusual to wait 20 minutes just to order my drink and another 10 minutes to get the drink. Convenient location with drive through for my work commute. I usually end up here around 6pm (night shift!) & 10am on Sundays before church. Drinks are good but the service is painfully slow with my average drive thru wait at 15 minutes. Inside service is not any faster. And I know rush times are challenging but maybe they need more staffing during these times?? I've been to Starbucks at the busiest areas in LA and sevice was very quick.... right now, I'm sitting in the drive through line, there are 2 people in line, 2 people waiting to pick up their drink, 3 people ahead of me in drive through, & I've been waiting 18 minutes and counting... sigh. read more

Wish this place was better. I have gone several times as it is the closest (for the moment) coffee shop. Consistently slow service and rude employees. Last night it was slow (only 2 cars ahead of me) so I gave it a shot and went through the drive thru. Still took almost ten minutes. It wasn't busy inside either, employee seemed more into talking to other employee than making coffee. I have in the past had to pull out of line due to long wait time. Once the manager was apparently training new employees. They looked shocked... Oh well, really hope a Dunkin donuts opens on green mount soon. read more

Every time I go here the service is super super slow. They take forever to make drinks and it looks like the employees are just walking back and forth not doing much. This is, by far, my favorite Starbucks location. It's conveniently located on my way to I-64, so I frequently visit on my way to work. First the employees here try really hard and turn out a good product. The company severely let them down with a botched drive through design and a store that's about a third as big as it needs to be. It is always packed in here and your wait for ordering and drinks is north of 30 minutes. You could literally build another Starbucks across the street and it'd be just as successful. Since moving to O'Fallon from Springfield, I have visited here twice. Both times my Carmel Frap was extremely watery and no hint of Carmel flavor. There were ice chunks, and little to no whip cream or Carmel syrup (even though I asked for extra) My daughters ordered the S'mores frap, and those tasted like milk.. Very little toppings on those as well. I experienced other people trying to order decaf coffee and they were all out... This was at 9am!! Fruits for teas were out.... Mind you they didn't tell the customers until AFTER the order was placed and the tea was up.... On my second occasion I went through the drive-thru... Tried ordering a Venti, the girl on the speaker says "how about you get a Grande" I politely replied "no thank you, I would like a Venti" to which she then let's me know they are all out of Venti cups.... This was around 11a... Not sure how you run out of cups when the majority of your business is served in cups. They were extremely busy, so I don't know if this is a over demand kind of downfall. I believe O'Fallon itself could benefit from their own Starbucks as opposed to having one only in Shiloh and one in the mall in Fairview Heights. Clearly management needs to be watching quality control and be on top of order placement. I will likely not go to Starbucks as frequently due to how horrible my drinks were, the bottled fraps at the store taste better than the $5 product they gave me! I definitely miss my Starbucks on Freedom Drive in Springfield, IL, never had a bad experience in the 6 years we lived there. To only have bad experiences at this store in Shiloh, is disappointing. High traffic at both stores but you can definitely tell the difference in management and care to give a customer a good product. read more
