We often drive from Collinsville just to go here for ice cream. Their ice cream has more of an ice milk flavor to me rather than the really heavy creamy taste. I think it's more refreshing when it's really hot out. Service is fast and there is a cute little outdoor seating area. There is no specific handicapped space, and the area is paved but uneven. Walking in, you are greeted by several friendly servers. Most are younger but seem to be well trained and efficient. It is obviously a small town ice cream shop as many customers knew the workers. Still, the workers did not ignore other customers while talking to friends and family, so the entire vibe was friendly and inviting. There is a good selection of ice cream and various options. The business has gone through several owners since its formation, and the newest owners have made a significant update to the decor. Based on our experience, we expect this to be a required stop every time we are in town.

Then he remakes it and goes completely to the other extreme -- basically one teaspoon of milk and the rest straight ice cream in a cup. I'm not asking for some gourmet five-star experience here. If you work in food service, handling basic feedback and remaking an order correctly shouldn't be treated like a personal attack. Customers shouldn't have to choose between melted milk and a brick in a cup.
